Monroe PD Reports: Razor in mailbox, Love triangle mediation, 9 pairs Jordan shoes stolen

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between May 6 – 12, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the final part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious person call on Unisia Dr – Ref to a on location asking for money. Made contact with the subject at Walton Truck Stop. He advised that he was asking for gas money. Someone gave him $20 for gas and he left the area.
  • Entering Auto, Tanglewood Dr., complainant advised his work truck from was entered. His wallet was taken with his ID. And $235.00 a Milwaukee 18Volt Drill along with his bosses prescriptions. No forced entry.
  • Suspicious Person, Fawn Field Dr., contact made with female subject. All ok, going through trash left in front yard of vacant residence.
  • Other Law, Roosevelt St., the complainant advised they found a razor in her mailbox and being a nurse did not want to touch it. The complainant advised she didn’t have any concerns or threats from anyone. The razor was disposed of.
  • Officers called to 3rd St., reference to subject in the area at night. The complainant advised a subject knocked on her door last night asking for her dead husband to do yard work. Possibly known male subject. Officer’s responded to similar call last date.
  • Other Law, Bridgeport Place, complainant harassing phone calls. Complainant is in a love triangle with female subject who was locked up for Violation of Temporary Protection Order against ex-girlfriend. Ex-girlfriend is complainant’s baby mama and is now being threatened because female subject was locked up. Ex-girlfriend was contacting complainant and wanted female subject to stop. Situation mediated.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Hwy. 138 to Hwy. 78 East.  Gray Chevy Colbolt. Vehicle located at GW Carver homes. Contact made with driver and advised of complaint. Driver given warning for manner of driving.
  • Wanted person call on Tigers Way, Beth Webb arrested for forgery out of MPD. Supplemental to be added to original case.
  • Domestic problem call on Mill Stone Bluff, two subjects disputing over property. Situation resolved.
  • Welfare Check, Masters Dr., complainant advised elderly female on location may be being abused by her juvenile grandson. Contact made with elderly female and her adult grandson. Elderly female in good health and appeared to be ok. Juvenile grandson stated he knew who the complainant was and it was his brother-in-law who said he would be trying to cause problems for him when he moved out.
  • Prowler Report, Masters Dr., the complainant 16-year-old advised she saw a shadow outside the residence. Then a gray Toyota left the area. Area checked with negative contact with anyone in the area and negative contact with vehicle.
  • Agency Assistance on Oakwood Lane; DFACS case worker requested a welfare check on 10-year-old with a bruise.  Report made.
  • Domestic problem on E. Church Street Jack Peters; Female subject in a verbal dispute, refused to explain what was going on and wanted to leave.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle on West Spring St. White Jeep with flashers on, vehicle stopped at Breedlove. Driver driving her 8-year-old granddaughter to the hospital due to a deep laceration to her left hand from a bathroom sink that fell. First aid rendered on scene to control the bleeding until EMS arrived to transport patient to Clearview Regional Medical Center.
  • Arrest Pickup, Alcovy St., Probation, Tia Harris, also has two children with her. Turned over to Walton Co. Jail
  • Welfare Check, Magnolia Terrace, two small children in the area without an adult digging in the trash. Contact made with female subject all ok.
  • Suspicious Person’s, Windsor Dr., complainant advised she believed she was being followed by 2-black males in a white possibly Toyota passenger car when she leaves her residence. Area checked with negative contact with the vehicle or subjects. Complainant was advised to call if she sees the subjects in the area.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hwy. 138 H.D. Atha Rd. black Ford Focus FTML, vehicle stopped on Sorrells St. & Booth Dr. Driver ok, got turned around by GPS going to Athens.
  • Theft report taken at MPD Lobby, complainant of the Public Defender’s office advised a recording device was being used by a client during a case and it did not get returned.
  • Burglary Report, on Ridge Rd., Skyline Trace, complainant returned home to her back kids bedroom and found the window was broken out. four kids Jordan’s and five adult Jordan’s Taken.
  • Area check Bryant Road area, reference to possible 38-D (drugs) Activity in the area, and subject named with possibly warrants, negative on warrants on named subject. Contact made with subject after he ran out the back door into his neighbors residence without permission. Subject issued a citation for Criminal Trespass.
  • Juvenile complaint, Meadow Walk Dr./ Wrong Address. Met complainant on Fawnfield Dr. Complainant advised young juveniles walking into her yard and possibly took her cigarettes and lighter. When questioned by her she stated they denied taking the items. Complainant advised to call if they come back. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Fight call on Davis St., several calls advised subjects black males in the area of Davis Street. Crowd began to disperse upon officer’s arrival. Advised it was a verbal dispute between two unidentified subjects who ran from the area. Female subject being in the middle of all. Other subjects advised to leave the area if they did not live there. Area cleared. All ok, no report of injuries or physical contact.
  • Suspicious Person on Reed St., black male in comp yard, subject was a Dish Network rep, all ok.
  • Theft Report @ Walmart; Comp advised that his laptop was stolen out of shopping cart, subject found tablet in cart, all ok.
  • Auto Theft at Quality Foods W. Spring St; Blue mustang taken and recovered in Loganville at the Home Depot, car theft suspect Steve Crank arrested for Theft by Receiving items that was inside the mustang, ongoing investigation. Mustang to be processed.
  • Domestic problem call at Marathon on S. Madison Ave;  comp reported that his wife threw a soda drink on him then left the area in a Grand Prix, declined a report.
