A one-year-old child was taken to Clearview Regional Medical Center Friday after he was run over by a vehicle backing up in the driveway on Dry Pond Road in Walton County.
According to the incident report from Georgia State Patrol, the driver was backing out of the driveway just before 10 p.m. on Friday evening and did not see the child walking behind the vehicle. She stopped when she heard a thud. The child had been hit with the bumper, and was under the car, but the tire did not go over the child.
The father pulled the child out from under the car and transported him to Clearview Regional Medical Center. His injuries were non life threatening, according to the report. Officers were called to the hospital to report on the incident.
