Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between July 1 – 7, 2016. This report is split into four parts due to the length. This is the third part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Harassment, King St., complainant advised that named male subject won’t take no for an answer and keeps harassing her. Complainant advised that a report has already been made and she is getting TPO tomorrow when the Gvt. building is open. Complainant also advised that male subject has been barred from housing but officer were unable to verify that. Male subject was Gone On Arrival.
- Civil dispute, West Creek Circle, complainant on location stating subject abandoned their lease on West Creek Circle and believed they broke back into the residence. Officers checked residence located a backpack with a .40 caliber round inside.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle/arrest, North Madison market subject arrested possession of marijuana and cracked windshield.
- Civil dispute, Bell St., complainant stated two subjects on location refusing to leave his property, Subject states he has lived there for six months. The residence has been without water and power for an extended period of time. Two subjects left the premises.
- Shoplifting, South Broad St., Antonio Collins and Michael Jones arrested for shoplifting less than $500.
- Juvenile Complaint, Wellington Lane, Complainant advised two juveniles in the neighborhood unsupervised. Negative contact. All ok.
- Assault, South Broad St., Altercation between two patients that live at this residence over a pack of cigarettes. Issue will be handled through the risk assessment on location. Report taken.
- Traffic Stop/arrest, South Broad @ Alcovy St., Austin Mitcham arrested for Conceal identity of a vehicle, Underage Consumption, DUI under 21.
- Fight, Bryant Rd., While on patrol in at Freedom Fest, officers advised of fight. Juvenile subjects were arrested and released to parents. All subjects were advised to leave the fest.
- Domestic, Bridgeport Lane, mother advised her daughter was on location being unruly and intoxicated. Officer made contact with daughter and a brief fight took place and she was arrested for DOC, and Public Intox.
- Juvenile Complainant advised juveniles were outside under the street light. All ok. Contact made and subjects were in their yard visiting family.
- Assault, New Lacy St., Two male subjects were involved in a physical dispute concerning a dog that should not have been in the residence. One male subject was pistol whipped by other male subject and then male subject fled the scene. No victim on scene, no charges made. Report taken.
- Domestic, West Vine St., While on the scene of above call, officers heard a loud and violent Domestic at this location. Officers heard a loud banging that sounded like a baseball bat being banged on a residence. Officers made contact with a subject and his girlfriend that were disputing. Subject broke a sink and counter with a baseball bat. The girlfriend would not cooperate with officers. Subject was arrested for disorderly.
- Juvenile Complainant, West Vine St., Complainant advised juveniles were outside of her house messing with her dog and making it bark. Area was checked, dogs were barking at officers that were walking back to their patrol units from the earlier domestic. All ok.
- Stolen Vehicle, Chestnut Lane, complainant advised his black in color Chevrolet S-10 with chrome wheel was stolen from his house. It was last seen at approximately 0230. Vehicle was listed on GCIC as a stolen vehicle.
- Damage to property, Edwards St., complainant said unknown vehicle drove through the cemetery fence, through his back yard, and through his wooden fence. CID notified and responded.
- Harassment, Towler St., complainant stated she was being threatened and harassed over the weekend by subject. Remedies advised, subject barred from location per request of management.
- Dispute, Plaza Dr., mother arguing with her 16-year-old son. Son went to a friend’s house for the night. Mother advised of juvenile process.
- Suspicious person, Barron Dr., reference to a black male, black shirt, red hat, looking in windows while it’s pouring rain. Complainant has medical condition. However, contact was made with subject matching description on Classic trail. Male subject advised he ran home from store in rain and never stopped at address.
- Intoxicated person, Knight St., female subject who was extremely intoxicated crashed her bike receiving sever laceration to her face, turned over to EMS
- Fight, Davis St., In reference to a fight. Large crowd upon arrival, no active fight. Crowd dispersed. ShiwandaDevoe arrested for an active warrant out of Social Circle.
- Theft Report, E Washington St., Complainant stated several neighborhood juveniles messing with property in his yard. Complainant requested I speak to the mother of the juveniles. All ok.
- Harrassing Phone Calls, Fawnfield Dr., Complainant, was keeping her niece due to parents on narcotics. Complaint made by female subject advising her parent’s friend sexually assaulted her. Assault happened outside the city. Report taken due to her living conditions.
- Dispute, E Tall Oaks Dr., Female attempting to slash tires on scene. Complainant just requested more patrols. Female was Gone on Arrival.
- Prowler, Old Mill Pt., In reference to a suspicious person attempting to open the back door to the residence. Foot tracks observed and followed but nobody was located. Report taken.
- Suspicious vehicle, Alcovy St., in regards to red P/T Cruiser in parking lot for several days. Vehicle came back to LabCorp in business park. Negative contact w/ business. Complainant advised they would be responsible for towing vehicle.
- Burglary, GW Carver, complainant advised someone attempted to kick in her back door between July 2 and this date. No entry was made.
- Suspicious vehicle, N. Broad St., Monroe Foodmart, Red Ford F-150 left in parking lot blocking parking. Attempted to contact owner, negative contact. Store owners advised they could have vehicle towed at their expense. Towing company was contacted to remove vehicle, report taken for abandoned vehicle.
- Child custody dispute, Springdale Dr., mother stated 15 YOA daughter was with family and they wanted daughter home, contact made w/ family and they will be bring daughter home. All ok.
- Dispute, Pine Park, grandmother was on location to pick up grandson whom she has custody of but his mom was refusing. Mother finally agreed for son to go with grandmother but in doing so became disorderly. Mother then ran into residence to avoid arrest and ran out back door, officers then lost contact.
- Dispute, Lopez Ln. between mother and son over animals in house. Situation mediated.
- Dispute, Springdale Dr. Situation over issues with mother and daughter. Mediated at this time, daughter allowed to go back to aunt’s house.
- Disturbing the peace, W. Fambrough St., complainant stated that FISH drives through everyday blowing horns for food and it has been bothering her tenants that sleep during the day. Complainant was advised that Monroe Police would speak with FISH about the situation.
- Dispute, S. Broad St., Male subject disputing w/ female subject over vehicle that he put in her name. Situation mediated, male advised of civil process.
