Monroe PD Report: Wrecks: 6-vehicle wreck/hood comes off & hits another vehicle/dog missing after being struck

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Oct. 2 – 8, 2015. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the first part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.

  • Misc. call, Power line, E. Spring St. power outage E. Spring and Hammond Drive. Monroe Utilities responded to restore power and repair line.
  • Theft report, MPD Lobby, 116 S. Broad St. the complainant advised his mail was being taken from 1312 Creek View Drive.
  • 911 Hang up call on Bankers Blvd, Pizza Law firm, all ok static on the line, no one on location, building is secure.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hwy. 11 North, red in color Pick up truck failing to maintain lane. 10/38 Hwy. 11 at Wells Fargo. Driver checked 10/4.
  • Fight call on E. Church St. Emmitt Butler fighting with his brother David Baker and Knox Griffith over a drug deal which occurred a month ago. Emmitt Butler arrested for Agg. Assault, Simple Battery and Terroristic threats X-2.
  • Traffic stop @ Davis & Ash St. arrested Austin Ergle for warrants out of MPD for probation violation and out of WCSO for Child Support.
  • Welfare Check Baker St., resident is being unruly towards other residents. Joyce Doster transported by EMS to Clearview due to onset dementia. Report taken and Judge Wright contact for further.
  • Fraud report, MPD Lobby, Paresh Kumar Vajani advised he sent $1500.00 to a subject claiming to be from an Identity security company. Money sent from Walmart. Report taken.
  • Police escort to Hwy. 138, “Chick-Fil-A” Madison Boring requested an officer to escort her to E. Marable Street to pick up some personal property. Property obtained without incident.
  • EMS Assist, Bold Springs Ave. 1-month old child unconscious and not breathing. Transported to Clearview by EMS. Child died at Clearview Medical Center. Turned over to C.I.D. Father of the child is Thomas Farmer.
  • Dispute, Towler St., dispute between grandmother (Sharon Thomas) and granddaughter (Shakenya Tillamn over Tillman being disrespectful. Situation mediated advised of eviction process.
  • Accident W. Spring & Breedlove, 2-vehicle injury by complaint.  Report taken.
  • Arrest Pick Up Rockdale County to Walton County Jail. Ryan McClure, arrested for Monroe FTA.
  • Accident (6) vehicles involved, Hwy. 138 at 78 East Ramp heading West. turned over to GSP 525. No injuries. Only one’s vehicle needed to be removed by Eastside.
  • Road Obstruction Possible Power line, North Broad @ Perry St. phone line removed by Engine One. All 10/4 Monroe Utilities notified.
  • Damage to property Plaza Dr. Shanee Odum advised her front door to her apartment was somehow damaged between 2300 on the 29th and 0730 on the 30th.
  • Dispute Mobley Circle – Sheila Crutchfield disputing with Laura Conner over vehicle speed situation mediated.
  • Burglary Walker Dr.  Jonathan Henson reporting a break in at the residence, $40, taken from a hidden location.
  • Domestic @ Sweetgum Dr between Robert Williams Jr. and Alice Clay and Erika Toney. Williams GOA WTBT on Williams for Simple Battery FV x2.
  • Dispute between Kenny Smith and baby mama over destroyed clothes advised to speak to Magistrate Court.
  • Traffic Stop North Broad at Fuzions Jahari Brown arrested for Poss. of marijuana less than 1oz and child safety seats x3.
  • Stolen Vehicle, Davis St. Travis Soulia advised his 2001 F-250 van was taken sometime after 2200 hours from his residence. Tag placed on GCIC. Vehicle was located across from complainant’s residence shortly after report was taken. Vehicle was still in gear. Subject possibly drunk when he returned home last date. Vehicle in vacant lot in some trees. Vehicle would not start.
  • Animal Complaint, 1104 Gliding Lane Apt-B, complainant advised K-9 had been in the rain for the past two days. Contact made with owner and advised to bring the K-9 inside. All 10/4.
  • Home Alarm, Hammond Dr. “First Christian Church” all 10/4 Judge Sorrells on location.
  • Alarm Roberts St. residence checked all 10/4, no one on location. One window slightly opened but screen was intact.
  • Traffic Stop and Arrest, E. Church St. Edward Dukes, 10/95 DUI Less Safe, Driving while suspended, Failure to Maintain Lane. Vehicle impounded by Jays.
  • Loud Music Complaint, Cook and Sorrells Street. Negative contact.
  • Civil matter, South Broad Storage, Rhonda Whilhite advised dispute with movers over property in storage unit. Advised of civil process.
  • Theft report, MPD parking lot, the complainant Sharon Stewart advised her son gave his bike to a friend to fix and also his x-box and now the friend won’t return it.
  • Accident with Dog, So. Broad & 5th St. the complainant Mr. Holcomb advised he hit a dog on his way to work this morning at approximately 0530 hours and was unable to locate the K-9. Report taken.
  • Damage to property, Accident, Hwy. 78 East, a hood from a vehicle came off and struck another vehicle. Report taken.
  • Dog complaint Landers Street, reference to a brown pit bull loose in the area. Contact made with K-9 and it was returned to a fenced area at 523 Landers St.
  • Domestic Dispute S Madison Ave Diane Hammrick and Jessica Hammrick disputing. Jessica Goa. all 10-4
  • Specious vehicle x2 one vehicle a red Tahoe driving aggressive and reckless 78W entering Walton Co. negative contact. Second white camero/charger 78 E into the city. Negative contact
  • Agency assist Birch St reference to domestic that occurred in county. TOT WCSO
  • Burglary – Starling Ramocan returned home to find his kitchen window opened and front door ajar. a lap top and dj equipment stolen. no serial numbers and due to the rain no prints or footprints located. report taken
