UPDATE: The Georgia Department of Public Safety report that a 2006 Nissan Altima was traveling south on Old Monroe Madison Hwy when the 21-year-old driver lost control and began overturning on the west shoulder, striking a utility pole. She was partially ejected and a 3-year-old passenger was totally ejected. The 3-year-old sustained minor injuries. GDPS report that it appears that a high back booster was utilized, however, the seating position and its correct use are not known at this time. The driver was not buckled. Charges are pending, but alcohol or drugs are not suspected. Shandrea Benford, of Madison, Ga., is the driver. The accident is still under investigation.
UPDATE: The roadway was back open by 1.04 p.m. on Sunday
Walton County Fire Rescue reports that Old Monroe Madison Highway is currently shut down due to a single vehicle accident. The motor vehicle hit a utility pole.

WCFR Battalion Chief Craig League said a juvenile female has been transported to Children’s Hospital of Atlanta at Egleston.
The roadway has been shut down while Walton EMC reports the power lines and the pole.
