Monroe PD Reports: Skydiver stuck in tree, vehicle windows being shot at

Monroe PD responded to the following calls between  Nov. 23 – Dec. 1, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the third post for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious person, Bell St., Complainant advised that a white female and black male were in her yard. Made contact with the neighbors who were outside talking in a shared driveway.
  • EMS Assist, Cook St., male subject on location having chest pains. Subject fled out the back door on arrival. Located him sitting in the bushes behind the residence. Another subject was back on location after being transported to Golden Pantry to wait for a ride. Male subject was transported to Clearview by EMS.
  • Threats, S. Madison Ave., complainant advised that her parents made threats to kill her. Complainant also advised that they are mean to her grandmother. On arrival, complainant advised that she wasn’t threatened. Complainant said that she was just upset because DFACS took her children from her. Complainant has ongoing medical issues.
  • Juvenile complaint, Nowell St., complainant advised that two black male juveniles (one wearing red/white sweats and the other was wearing a camo jacket with hoodie underneath) shot at the windows on a Nissan Maxima parked on Nowell St. Driver side window and back passenger side window was shattered. Unable to locate the owner of the vehicle. Report taken. Searched the area for juveniles and had no contact. Placed a CO2 cartridge that the juveniles dropped in evidence to be fingerprinted.
  • Firearms discharged, Southside MHP Office, complainant advised that he heard four shots in the area of the wood line behind Dollar General. Searched the area with no contact
  • Domestic, Kelton Rd., complainant advised that her brother was sleeping in her carport and she said that he could not stay there. The brother was sent on his way.
  • Dispute, Davis St., father advised that his daughter woke him up to tell him that there were three subjects in his yard and they were going to hurt him so that they could get his wife’s disability settlement money. Daughter was very intoxicated. I searched the area with no contact. Transported daughter back to her residence on Magnolia Terrace.
  • Suspicious person, W. Tall Oaks, complainant saw a named black male looking in her garbage can. Searched the area with no contact.
  • Suspicious person,  Tall Oaks Ln., Ref to a subject knocking on the complainant’s door and then walking to the trail behind the residence. No description available for the subject. Searched the area with no contact.
  • Entering auto, Alcovy St., complainant advised that his car and truck were broken into. Complainant advised that he saw two subjects jump the fence toward the hair salon but could not advise any description of the subjects or what they were wearing. Complainant did not want a report due to nothing was taken or disturbed inside the vehicles.
  • 911 Hang-up, Hickory Dr., complainant advised that his neighbor’s had the music on in their car and it was too loud. No loud music on arrival but advised the neighbor’s to not turn the music up.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Highway 78. Caller advised a vehicle was traveling west in the eastbound lane of travel. Vehicle located and stopped with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Burglary, North Broad St.,  complainant advised someone stole seven (7) rifles and seven (7) bows from a shed used on his hunting property between 1800 last date and 0700 this date. Shed located off Walton Road entrance to property.
  • Dispute, South Broad St., two subjects disputing again and advised of the eviction process, again.
  • Found Property, Felker St., complainant found a wallet in the roadway. Owner of the wallet was contacted and the wallet was returned.
  • Traffic Stop on North Madison Ave. at East Marable St., Danielle Phillip arrested for an active warrant out of Lawrenceville.
  • Traffic Stop on Davis Street at Pine Park St., Marcus Cooper arrested for driving while license suspended.
  • Damage to Property on East Washington St., complainant advised someone shot her vehicle with a BB gun last night.
  • Damage to Property, Cook Place. Complainant advised her vehicle window was broken during the night. No entry was made into vehicle, report declined.
  • Theft, Birch St., complainant reported her Nintendo Classic Edition mini video game system was stolen and believes a named is the suspect.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Mountain View Dr., Caller advised there were two (2) trucks in the roadway, unoccupied. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Highway towards Highway 78. Caller advised the occupant inside the vehicle possessed an open alcoholic container. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Criminal Trespass on Highway 78 East. Someone in Woodline shooting a BB gun at traveling motorist, busting out windows.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on South Broad St. near Alcovy St., The caller advised a truck pulling a camper had bicycles hanging off the rear. Area checked with negative contact.

  • Discharging Firearms in the area of Plaza Dr., Caller advised they heard approximately nine (9) shots. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person at Cook Place. Juveniles playing near abandoned house. Subjects GOA upon officer arrival.
  • Agency Assist on Towler St., Sky Diver stuck in tree and unharmed. Monroe Fire Department removed female from tree without incident, utilizing the ladder truck.
  • Disturbing the Peace in the area of Towler St. and Walton Mill. Kids playing and being loud and cars playing loud music. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., Caller advised they could her subject arguing at residence. Subject disputing over property. Situation medicated. All ok.
