Monroe PD Reports: Entering auto, EMS calls and gunshots reported

Monroe Police Department responded to the following police reports during the period Jan. 6 – 12, 2017. This report is split into four parts due to the length. This is the final post for this period. Please note an arrest or conviction does not constitute a conviction.

  • Vehicle, W. Spring Street near Capt. D’s, gave escort to Golden Pantry to get gas can and gas, vehicle started and left, all ok.
  • Damage to Property, E. Church Street; female damaged the complainant 2006 Cadillac and left in a gray Chevy Malibu.  Attempt made to contact female at Towler Street with negative response.  Report made, warrant to be taken for criminal damage.
  • Entering Auto, Tall Oaks; burgundy F150 left unlocked, key in the vehicle and attempted to steal the car but the battery was dead, tried to push the vehicle but abandoned.
  • Dispute at Tanglewood Drive. Caller advised roommate took his car without permission. The called was canceled prior to police arrival once the roommate returned home from the store in the vehicle.
  • 9-1-1 Hang up at Baker Street. Negative contact with homeowner. Neighbor advised she’s living in nursing home and the home is vacant.
  • Juvenile Complaint at West Creek Circle. Juvenile refusing to go to school. He was arrested on Juvenile pick-up order for Robbery. Turned over to to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Suspicious Person at Pike Park. Contact made with Wayne Watson who was arrested for a Failure to Appear warrant out of MPD.
  • Dispute at Cloverdale Drive in reference to male and female in dispute over him not asking permission to enter residence. Advised of remedies.
  • Agency Assist on West Spring Street at Breedlove Drive. Monroe Fire Department out with a female driver slumped over at the wheel of a vehicle. Contact made with female who was transported to the hospital by EMS.
  • Damage to Property at South Broad Street. Female advised she started having radiator problems while in the touch less car wash. Radiator was not caused by car wash. Advised of available remedies.
  • Shoplifting at West Spring Street – Walmart. Juvenile stole $72.94 worth of merchandise. The parents were contacted and the father refused to come pick him up. The mother responded and picked up the child.
  • Meet in Person at 116 South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Female had questions regarding her van that was worked on by a male. Male was arrested by WCSO and now resides in Grayson. Female was referred to WCSO and Gwinnett County regarding the location of her vehicle.
  • EMS Assist on South Madison Avenue at Towler Street in reference to a white male having a seizure in a vehicle. Male cleared by EMS and refused to go to the hospital.
  • Theft on South Madison Avenue. Complainant advised his wallet was stolen around 1430 hours while he was playing basketball.
  • Criminal Trespass at Irving Street. Back window of a vehicle shot out, possibly by a BB gun.
  • Dispute at Tall Oaks Lane. The complainant was evicted this date and had questions about where her property was. Contact was made with Lt. with WCSO and he was able to answer her questions.
  • Follow-up at Claywill Circle in reference to two (2) pit bulls killing her dog. The case is being handled by Animal Control.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Hwy 138 – Ref to a white Ford truck with no tail lights. Located vehicle and the truck had tail lights.
  • EMS Assist, Ammons Bridge Rd – Ref to a 40-year-old female having a possible panic attack. Turned over to EMS.
  • Disabled vehicle, N. Broad St/Monroe Auto Center – Vehicle had a flat tire. Gave the 2 occupants a courtesy ride to their residence in Meadow Walk.
  • Miscellaneous 2 Murphy’s USA – Customer was afraid that someone stole his information after using the gas pump. Customer said the seals were missing from the pumps. No evidence of any crime.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Zaxby’s – Ref to a reckless truck. Observed truck driving and did not observe any violations.
  • Dispute, Davis St – Ref to male and female arguing over female cheating. Female was gone when officers arrived.
  • Juvenile complaint, Heritage Park – Complainant saw a group of kids walking near parked vehicles. When the complainant yelled at them they ran away.
  • Dispute, Baron Dr – Complainant advised her ex-boyfriend arrived at her house to bring diapers. Male wanted to spend the night and after complainant told him no, he choked and pushed her. Female stated that male took her cell phone while she was trying to call 911 and broke it. She also stated that male took her house and car keys. Searched the area for male and had no contact. Warrants to be taken for simple battery, cruelty to children 3rd degree, interference with 911 call and theft by taking X3.
  • Firearms discharged, Walton Mills – Spoke to several people who said that it sounded like it was coming from west Creek Cir. Searched the area with no contact.
  • Dispute, Bridgeport Pl – male advised that his baby’s mama is harassing him. Female not on location. Advised of remedies.
  • Entering auto, Pine Cir – Ref to wallet and keys taken from un-secure vehicle. Complainant located her items in some bushes near the front entrance to neighborhood.
  • Suspicious person, Jack Peter’s – Located Joshua Moore walking east on Church St. Arrested Moore at Jack Peter’s.
  • Entering Auto, West Fambrough Street. Contact made with male subject who advised victim, had already left in vehicle to go to work. Advised to call back once she returns from work.
  • Entering Auto, Ridge Road. Purse and shoes taken from unlocked vehicle between 2330 – 2340 hours last date.
  • Entering Auto, Jessica Way. Male advised someone stole his GPS and Harley-Davidson sunglass from his unsecure vehicle.
  • Dispute, Douglas Street. Subjects in verbal dispute over milk. Advised of remedies
  • Civil Matter, Kendall Court, male requested to retrieve items from New Lacy Street, but no one was home. Neighbor advised she would bring items to him when the resident returned home.
  • Theft, Felker Street. Complainant advised someone stole his Glock 21 between January 9 – and this date.
  • Domestic, Overlook Crest. Subjects in verbal dispute in verbal dispute. Parties separated.
  • Damage to Property, East Marable Street. Female advised an unknown person threw a concrete block through the front glass door. A gold Nissan Maxima was seen leaving her house and it’s possibly her 25 year old son due to their earlier argument.
  • Drug Activity, Douglas Street in reference to drug problems. Female advised she found a clear plastic baggie on the kitchen floor and wanted to report it to police. There were no drugs inside baggie and she’s attempting to get another female in trouble so she can get her evicted out of the house. Referred to our F.I.T. Team
  • Civil Issue, met at Monroe Police Department. Subject had questions regarding an eviction. Referred to magistrate office.
  • EMS Assist, Creek View Drive. Caller advised an elderly female has fallen inside residence and could not get up. Monroe Fire and Walton EMS responded and gained entry into the residence.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring Street – Walmart. Andrea Roig arrested for shoplifting $216 worth of merchandise. Subject was fingerprinted at MPD and released on copy of citation.
  • Entering Auto, West Fambrough Street. Female advised someone entered her vehicle but did not take anything. Requested extra patrol.
  • Domestic, West Spring Street – Walmart. Caller advised of a possible dispute in the parking lot. Female advised everything was okay. She yelled at her husband over money.
  • Suspicious Person, Turner Street. Green truck with people around it blocking the roadway. Subjects GOA upon officer’s arrival.
  • Fight, Highland Creek Drive. Students from MAHS fighting on location and scattered in different directions upon police arrival.
  • Elderly Abuse report taken at South Broad Street. Male advised his 91 year-old mother isn’t properly being taken care of and is living in filth. Sgt. notified and filed a complaint with Georgia Adult Protection Services to investigate the complaint.
  • Found Property at the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Wallet found at Golden Pantry. Owner contacted and retrieved wallet at the Monroe Police Department.
  • Discharging Firearms, Meadow Walk Subdivision. Caller advised they could hear multiple gunshots in the area. Contact made with hunters out in county on their hunting property off Walton Road.
  • Domestic, Arcadia Court in reference to a dispute between subjects over child custody issues over their 15 year old son.
  • Domestic, Indian Creek Drive in reference to mother – mother and daughter –Warrant to be taken for Battery, Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree and Reckless Driving.
  • Entering Auto, Jessica Way. Male advised someone entered into his unsecured vehicle and stole a Garmin GPS device.
  • Entering Auto, Pine Circle. Complainant did not realize his truck was entered until he returned home from work at 1700 hours. A bag was taken from his truck and found in neighbor’s yard. Report declined but extra patrol requested.
  • Welfare Check, Sorrell Street in reference to family to contact family member. Female was found asleep, all ok.
  • Entering auto, W. Fambrough St – Female had her vehicle entered sometime after 0800hrs. Stereo and CD’s were taken.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Cloverdale Dr – Ref to vehicles blocking the roadway. There was a death in the family and all family members were gathering at the residence. Roadway was passable.
  • Domestic, Meadow View Dr – grandmother and her granddaughter got into a pushing match over the grandmother’s cell phone.
  • Hit and Run, Ridge Rd – Accident occurred at the Marathon by Huddle House.
  • Domestic, Douglas St – Complainant advised several subjects were outside Douglas St arguing. Spoke to the subjects who advised that nothing happened.
  • Traffic violation, N. Broad St/E. Highland Ave – Ref to a tractor trailer with a broken axle. Followed tractor trailer to Walmart DC.
  • Disturbing the peace, N. Midland Ave – Ref to noise in the area of NAPA. Searched the area without hearing any noise.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Fuzions – Ref to female asleep in her yellow VW Beetle. Advised she was waiting on her sister to arrive. When she realized how late it was she decided to leave the area.
  • Suspicious person, Felker St – Flagged down by male who was asking a lot of questions ranging from dogs, to domestic issues, to laws on shooting people.
