Monroe PD: Man threatened to murder woman who wouldn’t move to Texas with him

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Oct. 16 – 22, 2015. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the third part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction. 

  • Escort call from Clearview Medical Center to S. Madison Ave. subject needed a ride home from the hospital.
  • Suspicious speeding vehicle call on Hwy. 11, Red Pick Up with black camper top, Hwy. 11 heading North from the County, contact with vehicle on Pine Crest Dr. citation issued for driving while unlicensed to driver of Social Circle. Vehicle turned over to a licensed driver. All ok.
  • Domestic problem Report taken at WCSO Lobby, the complainant advised a dispute occurred last week on 10/15/15 at Michael Circle and she requested a report. Report to be completed.
  • Juvenile Complaint call on Coley St., complainant advised she heard glass break and thought juveniles were breaking her window to the residence. Negative on juvenile complaint. Someone inside the residence dropped a glass and woke complainant up. All ok.
  • Civil Issue call on Knight St. “Sunshine MHP”, Travis Brian Evans disputing with landlord over eviction process. Mr. Evans had valid warrants out of Monroe for FTA. He was arrested  for warrant, turned over to Walton County Jail
  • Civil Issue call on Claywill Circle, complainant advised his wife locked him out of the residence after had left for three days. Contact made with wife and she advised her children to let husband in the house to get his belongings.
  • 911 hang up call on Walker Dr., all ok, juvenile being unruly. Counseled juvenile, all ok.
  • Dispute call on Cherokee Ave., parties separated. Complainant advised (baby daddy) took her phone and her boyfriend’s phone while he was at her residence that baby’s daddy pays for on Walker Dr. Baby’s daddy was upset because baby’s mother had her boyfriend at the residence. Unable to make contact with subject. Baby’s mama declined a report and advised she just wanted her phone back.
  • Speeding vehicle call on Glen Iris, vehicles in the area speeding, checked area all ok.
  • Burglary call on Tanglewood Drive; broken window in back left out back door.  Nothing missing, just moved in, no property was inside. 
  • Welfare check on South Broad S., Dollar General. Father wanted a welfare check on his daughter at Southside Park. Made contact with daughter and mother. All ok.
  • Suspicious vehicle call on Turner St., ref to a blue Dodge with a Confederate flag driving around harassing children, Area checked no contact.
  • Domestic problem call on Walker Dr. Verbal between Male and female subjects over a feral cat that got ran over, situation mediated.
  • Juvenile Complaint call on Glen Iris Dr., ongoing issue with child on Glen Iris, report made.
  • Theft call on S Broad S., manager advised three juveniles stole candy from the store. Made contact with a two juveniles on West Vine. Neither had anything on them to suggest they stole. Manager requested a report.
  • Damage to property call on Wheel House Ln., complainant said she was at this address to pick up her son. She returned to her car to find the passenger side window busted but no items taken.
  • Missing person call on north broad. Complainant advised she could not get in touch with her sister. Her sister was located in her apartment. All ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint call on Ash Ln., complainant complaining about a group of juveniles wanting to jump his son and sending threatening texts. Checked area for juveniles no contact.
  • Missing Person report at MPD.  Son reporting his mother was missing with suspicious circumstances, she is a quadriplegic and bound to a motorized wheel chair. She was later located by APD at the airport.
  • Dispute call on S Hubbard St., complainant said he was in a verbal dispute with female subject. Female subject has a warrant out of Monroe. Female was gone prior to officers arrival.
  • Suspicious person call on Green StRef to someone knocking on complainant’s door. Negative contact.
  • Damage to Property call on E. Tall Oaks Dr.Ref damage to landscaping in the area. Complainant advised an unknown vehicle did burn outs in the community grass.
  • Found Property call on Ridge Rd.Ref to a wallet. Complainant advised that she found a wallet that belongs to a male subject. Wallet to be placed into evidence if no contact is made with male subject.
  • Identity Theft report taken at MPDRef to complainant stated that a female used her identity and has a warrant out of Coffee County. Picture confirmed that it was not her.
  • Suspicious person call on Atha StRef to a Hispanic male subject coming on the property on Friday telling the new tenant that he still had belongings in a shed behind the house. The landlord wanted a report due to he told the resident that the male subject was not a past tenant.
  • Damage to Property call on Plaza TrRef to a vehicle that hit a deer in the county this morning. Complainant declined a report.
  • Juvenile Complaint call on Plaza DrRef to juveniles riding their bikes in the road. Made contact with the juveniles in the Quality Foods shopping center and told them to leave the area due to no bikes allowed on the walkways in the center.
  • Damage to Property call at Popeye’s – Ref to a vehicle that was damaged two weeks ago at Dairy Queen.
  • Juvenile Complaint call on Ash LnRef to juveniles harassing the household. Complainant advised that male subject has been sending her harassing Facebook messages. She was advised to block him.
  • Welfare Check call on Hwy 78/Unisia DrRef to a 3rd party call from Rockdale County Communications was advised that an off duty deputy was flagged down in reference to a male subject passed out near 78/Unisia. Checked Hwy 78 to Jim Daws, James Huff and Unisia Dr with no contact.
  • Welfare Check call on Norris StRef to checking the welfare of female. Made contact, all ok.
  • Threats call on Poplar Ct., Ref to complainant stated that male subject (resides in Texas) threatened to murder her if she didn’t come to Texas to be with him.
  • Dispute call on GW Carver Dr. with reference to complainant advising that the mother and children from another apartment came over disrespecting him and wanting to fight with him and his wife. Made contact with female advised that another female was threatening her.
  • Theft call on E. Spring StRef to meeting a male subject with a striped shirt. Complainant stated that male subject broke into her house on Armistead Circle after being kicked out and took pills.
  • Barrow CountyJohn McClain arrested for Violation Of Probation.
  • Gambling on Lacy St – Called in 3rd party reference to subjects gambling. Area checked no contact.
  • Suspicious Person call on Atha St., male subject on scene to collect items, advised to speak to landlord for access.  All Ok.
  • Suspicious Person call on E. Spring St. at Beauty and Beyond; B/M wearing a red hoodie and dark jeans walking around the front of the store, later identified, was gone prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Suspicious Person call on E. Washington St and Milledge Ave., male subject flagged down officer for a ride to Athens, refused assistance.
