UPDATE: Capt. Jeff Allen with Walton County Fire Rescue reports that two small dogs were located outside the home and safe following this fire.

Walton County Fire Rescue crews, assisted by Monroe Fire Department, responded to a reported structure fire at 1499 Highway 138 on Saturday afternoon, according to Capt. Jeff Allen with WCFR.
“First arriving units found an occupied trailer well involved with fire. Crews were able to make entry and quickly knocked the fire down,” Allen said. “There were no injuries to occupants or firefighters, though two small dogs are currently unaccounted for.”
Allen said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
