Monroe PD Report: Second 14-year-old charged with sexual assault

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Nov. 25 – Dec. 3, 2015. This report is split into third parts due to the length. This is the fourth part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.

  • Burglary call on Landers St., Someone entered the residence through dining room window and took laptop computer while homeowner was sleeping.
  • Suspicious vehicle behind Unisia Dr., Monroe Utilities saw gray truck in woodline on Piedmont Pkwy w/ doors and hood open. Gray Ford F-150, stolen out of Gainesville. Truck recovered by towing company and secured for processing.
  • Dispute call on W Spring St., caller had questions regarding eviction process. Caller advised of eviction process and had Animal Control remove two dogs.
  • Dispute taken at MPD lobby. Complainant requesting male subject to leave Storehouse Crt. Judge advised no paperwork proving male subject as tenant and complainant must tell male subject to leave residence. Complainant advised male subject he has 24 hours to vacate premise.
  • Damage to property report taken at MPD lobby. Complainant resides on King St. and stated on 11-28-2015 that unknown juveniles threw a brick at her back screen door causing damage.
  • Dispute call on Gliding Lane. Two subjects disputing over relationship. Both were cited for DOC and one gathered property and left residence.
  • Damage to property on N. Broad St. caller’s  Oldsmobile Delta 88 damaged by unknown suspect overnight. Report taken.
  • Burglary call on N Milledge Ave. Solid Rock Ministries entered sometime last night. Cash register, $25.00 and other items taken.
  • 911 hang up call on Blaine St. (J Beauty Supply) Shoplifting occurred, made contact w/ suspect for shoplifting and receipt was provided. Report made.
  • Fire assist on New Lacy St. in regards to smoke coming from structure. All ok, pot overheated on stove.
  • Domestic problem call on Atha St., caller advised step-daughter kicked his left leg during argument. Juvenile complaint on step-daughter done for Battery-FV.
  • Animal complaint on Etten Dr., caller advised of vicious Pitbull charged at her while she was taking her trash out to street. Animal Control notified. No contact with pit-bull.
  • Suspicious Vehicle call on Felker Park and S. Madison Ave;  three B/M juvenile gang members returning to old mill point after acting suspicious on Felker Street near E. Washington.  Subjects identified and photographed and sent home.
  • Suspicious Person call at Walmart W. Spring St., Walmart staff advised a b/m later identified was walking around Walmart for hours following some customers suspiciously and never paid for anything.  B/M was identified and advised that the employees think he is up to something, he said he was just looking at things he may buy.  All ok.
  • Sexual Assault call on Cedar Lane; 14-year-old molested his 7-year-old sister, subject confessed and a juvenile complaint was filed.  Juvenile did not go to YDC per Intake and was given escort to grandparents to go to court in the am.
  • Domestic problem call on Country Club Drive; resident and her father in verbal dispute, father was GOA, all ok.
  • Entering Auto call on Plaza Trace; 2 young black males in area goa on foot entered two vehicles, report taken, Area checked on foot.
  • Domestic problem call on Wheelhouse Ln., female and Shawnbria Lawson in a fight, Lawson arrested for simple battery family violence.
  • 911 Hang-up @ National Guard; nobody on duty, bldg checked and secured, all ok.
  • Prowler call on Conestoga MHP, loud noise outside was cats knocking over a trash can, all ok.
  • Welfare Check on Bryant Rd; 53-year-old resident suspiciously not coming to the door, comp advised she would not answer cell phone etc…, unusual for her and has heart conditions.  Housing responded, opened door and cleared residence, resident was just not home and not at Clearview. Report made, left business card.
  • Misc. @ ATM Wells Fargo; comp was scared due to group of subjects near ATM waiting to get their Govt. check money out.  All ok.
  • Theft report on Davis St., caller stated her LED light was stolen out of her front yard sometime between 2000 & 0300 last date. Report taken.
  • Medical Assist on W. Marable St., female subject suffering from Bi-polar disorder and manic schizophrenia. Subject TOT EMS to be transported to Clearview Medical Center for further evaluation.
  • Unruly juvenile, Blain St. “Bridges of Georgia” staff was able to handle situation. All ok.
  • Domestic problem call on Storehouse Court, subject gathered his belongings while officers stood by.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle on 78 West & Hwy. 138, Randy Walton arrested for possession of marijuana less than an ounce. TOT Walton County Jail.
  • Fraud Report taken at MPD Lobby, Negative on fraud, Civil matter over pay. Employee vs. Employer or Best Rate Ins. Reference to civil division and wage and labor board.
  • Damage to Property call on W. Spring St., incident occurred last date at Advance Auto. Employee had his brake line cut. Complainant declined a report.
  • Domestic problem call on Storehouse Court, Dispute between two subjects, male subject has a warrant out of Gwinnett County. Female advised to call when male returned.
  • Civil Matter on W. Tall Oaks Dr., complainant had questions regarding Shade Tree mechanics not fixing her vehicle properly and pocketing the extra money for parts.   
  • Agency Assist, WCSO, wanted person call on Alcovy St., MPD Warrant Probation violation Steven Broach arrested, TOT Walton County Jail.
  • Officer called to MPD Lobby, reference to incident on Baron Dr. Fraud report, complainant advised someone obtained her credit card information and used it in Buckhead Atl. Area. Report taken.
  • Theft report on Davis St., complainant advised someone took the meter from the residence. Report taken.
  • Theft report on W. Spring St., the complainant advised he had $50.00 taken from his wallet and suspected two named subjects.
  • Dispute call on S. Madison Ave., subject disputing with clerk over transaction. Situation resolved all ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle call on E. Spring St. Exit, vehicle green Minivan driving the wrong way. All units, area checked no contact.
  • Suspicious Person/Vehicle, Hwy. 138, subject waving his arms, White 2001 Dodge Caravan, drove into the pawn shop parking lot. “Balmer’s Outdoors”. Contact made with male subject possibly intoxicated on drugs.  Subject not DUI but contact made with subjects father to pick him up due to him admitting to taking pain medication earlier this date. Subject had verbal dispute with his wife which was why he walked from Charlotte Rowell Blvd.
  • Dispute call on W. Spring St. “Clearview E.R.” patient making threats. E.R. requested Officer to stand by while speaking with subject. All ok.
  • Domestic problem call on Clearview Medical Center; medical patient refusing to listen to nurses, subject calmed down and complied, all ok.
  • EMS Assist on S. Broad Street; 50-year-old male subject difficulty breathing, checked by EMS all ok.
  • Shoplifting @ Dollar General S. Broad St; Melinda Abbott arrested for shoplifting at 69.63 in merchandise, Ashley Davis arrested for shoplifting 28.00 in merchandise.
  • Domestic problem call on Atha Street; Comp advised step father hit her with a door, upset over rules of house, etc. Report made.
  • Domestic problem call on Washington St., Complainant in dispute with Paul Stone who was intoxicated and was goa, found on Bell Street advised to stay away from Housing.
  • Fire Assist on N. Broad Street; comp advised seeing smoke come out of the house, smoke was steam from dryer vent, all ok.
  • Domestic problem call on Old Mill Pt., wife pushed off bed and injured by husband, husband was GOA, warrants taken for battery family violence.
  • Fight call at Fuzions; John Epps, Elizabeth Epps, and James Scott arrested after fight with male subject.  John Epps hit male subject with pool stick, charged with aggravated assault and Criminal trespass.  Elizabeth Epps arrested for Battery, James Scott cited with Disorderly Conduct/criminal trespass.
  • Prowler call on S. Broad St., “So.Side MHP, James Nix on the porch without permission. Nix was arrested for Trespassing, Possession of Marijuana less/oz, Possession Methamphetamine.
  • Theft report call on Knight St., complainant advised two bikes were taken from residence and someone attempted to get into the barns in back. Report taken.
