Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Dec. 31, 2015 – Jan. 7, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the third part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- Civil Issue on E. Spring St., complainant advised his landlord locked him out of his residence. Officer made contact with the landlord and he agreed to open the residence next date.
- Theft Report on Kendall Ct., caller advised that his Sony camera was stolen, and he suspects his grandparent’s nurse of taking it.
- Dispute @ Taco Bell, Reference to a dispute between customers in the drive-thru line. Situation mediated.
- Suspicious Person @ E. Church Street near Jack Peters Grocery; Suspect was acting out by jumping out in front of cars and threatening male subject with a large knife. He arrested for Aggravated Assault.
- Theft Report on Bold Springs Rd., All-star; Comp. advised she left her cell-phone on the counter and someone else picked it up, report made.
- Suspicious person call at Quality Foods; group of subjects loitering at Quality Foods lighting fireworks, advised that no fireworks on non-holidays. Sent on their way.
- Fight call on Douglas Street; Juveniles in fight with intoxicated juveniles. One intoxicated juvenile hit another with a rubber mallet. Two fled the scene. After thorough investigation all subjects located and will be charged in juvenile court with affray, possession by intoxication and one with Aggravated Assault.
- Dispute call on Birch Street; female subject damages complainant’s Ford Fusion, warrants to be taken by officer.
- Dispute call on Cook St., Wife and husband were disputing over husband accusing her of taking $80.00 from him. Husband was arrested, due to his actions in front of Officers.
- Theft call on W. Spring St. (Verizon Wireless) Reference to a stolen cell phone. Caller purchased a cell phone on Walton County Online Flea Market from subject and when he went to activate it at Verizon, they advised him that it was reported lost or stolen. Officer made contact with subject and she refunded the caller his money. The cell phone was then returned to its original owner. Report completed.
- Theft Report call on S. Madison Ave., Complainant advised two female subjects broke into her residence located on Marable Lane and removed an A/C unit and a chest freezer. Both items were located and returned. Complainant declined prosecution. A report will be completed.
- Officers called to Tall Oaks, Caller advised subject attempted to speak with her about her juvenile. She advised that Officers told them last week to stay away from each other. Subject was once again advised to stay away from caller.
- Burglary call on E. Church Street; 55 Inch Element Television taken, no forced entry. Report taken.
- Domestic problem call on Tanglewood Drive; caller in verbal dispute with male subject, caller decided to leave location, all 10-4.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on Hwy 78 at Hwy 11: Subject arrested after stopped for speeding, Driving on Suspended license.
- Domestic problem call on South Madison Ave., caller reporting his ex-wife is harassing him by phone, he was advised of the TPO process.
- Fraud call on West Spring St., DeBrian Holloman arrested for being in possession and passing a fake check at the United Community Bank.
- Welfare Check on West Spring St. ref to an elderly female in a gray Corolla slumped over the wheel while in the parking lot. The female was located near the garden entrance with low blood sugar, Turned over to Walton County EMS.
