Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Dec. 31, 2015 – Jan. 7, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the fourth part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- Suspicious person call at St Albans Episcopal Church. Received a call ref to black males running from this area. Contact made with 4 male subjects. Consent to search persons with a book bag, all ok. They were sent on their way and told not to hang around the church.
- Domestic problem call on Edwards St. dispute between two subjects, situation was mediated.
- Juvenile Complaint on Arcadia Ct., Report of juveniles throwing rocks at complainant’s window. Located juvenile that was accused, but no proof incident occurred, all 10-4.
- Domestic problem in vehicle @ Walmart, Reported by officer, vehicle was mobile and followed to John’s Supermarket, verbal dispute between boyfriend and girlfriend, situation mediated.
- Domestic problem Violent on Pine Park St., Timothy Jackson reported his wife, Gloria Jackson cut him with an unknown object. Gloria Jackson arrested for FV Battery, Timothy Jackson arrested for Walton County warrants.
- Domestic problem on Towler St., subject intoxicated on location refusing to leave, was GOA, all 10-4.
- Dispute @ Clearview Medical Center, Patient in room being unruly, situation mediated.
- Prowler call on Chestnut Ln., Report of male in complainant’s yard, made contact with subject, advised to stay out of yard, all 10-4.
- Fraud call on E. Church St., complainant reported ex-boyfriend took her birth certificate and SSN and filed bankruptcy under her name, report taken.
- Suspicious person call on North Broad at Highland, juvenile arrested for curfew violation, released to mother.
- Misc Law call on Lacy St., Male subject was acting suspicious, requested an escort off of Lacy St due to subjects in the area, negative on other people in area, escorted off Lacy St., all ok.
- Suspicious person call on Davis St., (Davis St. Antiques) ref to a vehicle parked behind the store for the last two days, occupied by a b/m. No warrants, only description given was a passenger vehicle, vehicle was GOA.
- Entering Auto report taken at MPD. Subject advised someone entered while parked at the Cotton Mill and took his wallet, but left his pistol. Vehicle was unlocked.
- Domestic problem call on Forrest Ln. Verbal between female and male over female refusing to leave. Units have been on location several times before and have advised male of the eviction process, and he has yet to do so. He was advised the same.
- Agency Assist, Maple Place Town Homes. ASAP bonding had warrants in hand for FTA on Sherod Brown out of Gwinnett. Arrested and tot to the Bonding company.
- Theft report taken at MPD lobby. Caller ref reporting his vehicle was, stolen from Plaza Dr. around 0100 hours this date. Tag entered onto GCIC.
- Juvenile complaint on West Creek Cir complainant advised that juvenile was being unruly, and left the residence. Juvenile located at Felker Park and fought with officers. He was detained and charged with unruly, simple battery (fv) and obstruction of officers.
- Damage to Property @ Country Hearth Inn, Owner reported damage to a door in one of the rooms, the occupants were on location and stated damage was caused from fall in the bathroom, no signs of family violence report taken.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on S. Broad St at E. Washington, Michael Sims and Brittany Marshall arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 1oz and failure to dim lights.
- Suspicious person call at Jack Peters, Subject arrested for DUI Less safe, and Failure to Maintain Lane.
- Suspicious vehicle call on W. Spring St at Pinecrest, Subject arrested for Reckless Driving, failure to maintain lane, passing in no passing zone, DOC, Dui Combo.
- Juvenile complaint on Sorrells St., 15-year-old refusing to attend school due to not having shoes. Juvenile complaint to be filed. S.R.O. @ Carver Middle School to be advised.
- Officer’s called to Bryant Road, reference to possible scam. Contact made with two female subjects. Contacted by subject claiming to be from the IRS. Advised of remedies and not to give any personal information to anyone over the phone.
- Child Custody Report taken at S. Broad St. MPD lobby. Complainant advised her husband took their children and won’t tell her where they are. Complainant has a no contact order in place from husband. Advised to contact an attorney. Report taken.
- Dispute call on Walker Dr. Sister disputing with her brother. Subject did not want to go home with her brother. Situation mediated. All ok.
- Fight call at Clearview Regional Medical; intoxicated subject brought in by Social Circle being combative with personnel, subject was restrained and sedated, all ok.
