Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between April 1 – 7, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the final part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction
- Juvenile Complaint on Carver Pl., Ref to 2 3rd graders not getting along. Advised both juveniles to stay away from each other.
- Unknown call on GW Carver, Ref to a female advised that a male was trying to have sex with her against her will. Phased 2 to this area. Negative contact. Not a valid address.
- Theft call on Indian Creek Dr., complainant advised that someone removed the tag from his 1995 Chevy truck within the last few months. Tag entered on GCIC.
- Unknown call on E. Marable/RR Tracks – Ref to a b/m unconscious on the tracks. Made contact with subject who was extremely intoxicated and taking a nap. EMS transported to Clearview.
- Domestic problem call on Millege Ave., two subject disputing. One subject said that the other subject poured a beer on him and then slapped him on his left cheek. No visible marks or witnesses. Second subject was GOA.
- Welfare check call on Windsor Dr., complainant advised that a male was on location harassing his 15-year-old daughter. The male subject was GOA. All ok.
- Dispute call on Hubbard St., complainant said that the employees at the shop across the street keep parking in her driveway. Made contact with the shop supervisor who said that he would make them stop. All ok.
- Domestic problem call on Lakeview Dr., tow subjects were drunk and began breaking things. One subject was GOA.
- Suspicious person call on Poplar St., A female subject walking from Grocery Store home, all ok.
- Harassment call on Indian Creek Dr., 16-year-old complainant advised an 8-year-old on Colquitt St. was calling him names, all ok.
- Domestic problem call on GW Carver Dr., Verbal dispute between resident and male subject over property. Report made.
- Entering Auto call on E. Church St., Rear window of complainant’s vehicle broken, unknown if anything taken. Report made.
- 911 Hang-up call on E. Church St., Intoxicated subject in area, was told to go home.
- Misc. call on W. Spring St., homeless subject wanted officers to pay for a room for him, FISH contacted advised they already helped him, was supposed to be at shelter. Advised to not loiter the streets.
- Juvenile Runaway call on Tanglewood Lane; juvenile left to friend’s house, last seen on Lacy Street. Multiple area checked for Juvenile. Mother advised she would complete a juvenile complaint later.
- Suspicious person call on E. Marable St., male subject stalking his ex-girlfriend entertaining a new male. Threats made via text, warrant to be taken for Terroristic Threats, area checked with negative contact.
- Intoxicated subject @ Golden Pantry; B/M was advised to head home after yelling at the clerk. All ok.
- Wanted person call on Tanglewood Dr., female called to state that she wanted to turn herself in for a FTA warrant, had second thoughts not on location.
- Domestic problem call on Atha St., complainant in verbal dispute with male subject, Male subject was GOA, all ok.
- Intoxicated subject call on Harris St. near Davis St., female subject sitting in roadway intoxicated, Jail refused to take subject without taking her to get cleared at hospital. Subject taken home, cited and released to home address on Lacy St.
- Missing Person call on Gatewood Way, mother said her 18-year-old daughter left with her boyfriend and won’t come home. Mother advised she just don’t like her daughter being with the boyfirend. Advised to call back if she didn’t come home tonight. All ok.
- Suspicious person call on Golden Pantry officer observed vehicle that previously ran from officers Roy Greer identified as driver from chase. Identified Roy Grier as driver of today’s vehicle. Greer has a suspended license made contact and arrested for driving on suspended license and previous chase related warrants. Wife Andrea Greer was also on location and arrested for FTA out of Social Circle.
- Dispute call on Wellington Dr., complainant had questions about property damages that occurred in Bethlehem GA, he was referred to Barrow County SO
- Damage to property call on Towler St., complainant stated his Ford Mustang was keyed sometime during the weekend report taken.
- Stopped suspicious vehicle at WalMart, ref no insurance, vehicle impounded by towing company.
- Follow up on Lawrence St., victim of an entering auto, stated that someone returned her daughters driver’s license and other cards that were removed from her wallet. Items submitted into evidence.
- Fire arms discharge in the area of Cook Place. Area checked on foot and spoke to several persons in the area and no one was familiar..
- Dispute call on South Broad St., Store clerk advised a Hispanic male attempted to return items to the store, when advised how to handle the returns he became angry and threw the items at the complainant. Clerk wanted subject banned from the store. Subject was GOA. Clerk was advised males name and info was needed. Advised to call back if he returned. All ok.
- Warrant Service on Davis St., Dominique Thomas was needed for questioning for shooting incidents. Thomas was located on Pine Park St. He was brought to the P.D. then arrested for outstanding warrants for probation through Walton County.
- Dispute call on Towler St., Dispute between neighbors over loud music. Situation mediated. All ok.
- Suspicious Person call on West Spring St., Complainant advised black male subject wearing sweatpants and tennis shoes has been sitting in the restaurant for several hours. Subject was GOA. Area and building was checked. All ok.
- Suspicious Vehicle call on Plaza Trace, Complainant advised a black in color dodge truck was sitting in the cul-da-sac and no one was around it. Contact made with owner, in the highland village visiting his mother. All ok.
- Suspicious Vehicle call on Oakwood Lane, Complainant advised white Kia passenger vehicle, occupied by three black males with Florida registration sitting next to their driveway. Vehicle was GOA. Area checked all ok.
- Suspicious Person call on North Broad St., Complainant advised white female with red hair and sweat suit walking in the area and appears to be on narcotics. Contact made with female in the area of North Broad Street @ Marable. Female advised she was bi-polar and off of her medication. Female became angry with officers. Ems called. Female transported to Clearview. Once at Clearview the female became aggressive towards medical staff picking up a medical bed and attempting to flip it over on nursing staff. Fight with officers. Finally given medication and restrained to bed.
- Suspicious Person call on Ford St. on East Spring St., Officer observed large group of juveniles in the area. Contact made with six juveniles. One juvenile was found to be in possession of latex gloves. Report completed for juvenile, due to juvenile being on probation and having a curfew. Other juveniles turned over to parents.
- Harassing Phone Calls on East Washington @ South Bd., Complainant advised she was receiving harassing messages over Facebook from a male subject. Complainant was shown how to block people on Facebook. Contact made with male subject on Davis Street and was advised not to contact complainant again.
- Suspicious Person call in area of 6th St., Complainant advised she lives on 5th street and can see subjects on 6th street with flashlights. Area checked negative contact.
- Suspicious Person call on Belle Meade Rd., Complainant advised she was wakened by someone banging on her front door and then ringing her door bell. Area checked and officers observed wet foot prints on her front porch. Complainant also advised this same incident took place two weeks ago but at the back door. Requested extra patrol. All checked negative contact with anyone.
- Misc. call on Thompson Ridge Dr., complainant had questions about a rental car he and his friend rented and his friend has refused to return it. He was referred to Hertz rental in Conyers
- Damage to property call Elite Storage, West Spring damage to vehicle, Unsure when or where it occurred IDP report made
- Officer’s called to Plaza Dr., reference complainant’s grandson breaking into the residence at night to sleep. He was GOA. Complainant was advised to call back when he returns to be banned from the property
- Officer’s called to Sherwood Dr., complainant has concerns about his daughter being on 38D (drugs). He was advised of remedies.
- Juvenile complaint on W. Spring St., reference juveniles riding bikes and skateboards in roadway made contact advised to stay out of the road
- Assault call on Ash Lane, complainant stated she was pushed from behind by male subject during a dispute on Lacy St. Report taken.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on South Broad St., Clifford Sears arrested for driving with license suspended and suspended registration.
- Discharging Firearms call on Davis St., Complainant advised she heard two gun shots in the area. Area was checked. All ok.
- Discharging Firearms in area of Ash Lane, Complainant advised they heard several shots in the area. Area checked. All ok.
- Discharging Firearms call on Tall Oaks Lane, Complainant advised they heard several shots in the area. Possible the same shots from Ash Lane. Area checked, path behind apartments was walked. Negative contact. All ok.
- Stolen Vehicle call on Davis St., Negative on stolen vehicle, complainant allowed a female to use his vehicle and had verbal agreement with female. Advised of civil process.
- Suspicious Person call and chase on foot at Jays Beauty Supply, Officer made contact with two black males walking in the parking lot of Jays Beauty supply after businesses were closed. Von Tairius Cook ran on foot and was arrested for disorderly conduct, Public Intox, and outstanding warrants out of Barrow County.
- Burglary call on Tanglewood Dr., Complainant advised her and her family was asleep and heard a loud bang at the door. Complainant advised she opened the door and observed a muddy foot print on the door. Units arrived in the area and three juvenile males ran and were caught. Juveniles advised they were looking for a dog and got scared. Foot print didn’t match. Juveniles turned over to their guardian.
- Suspicious Person call on Milledge Ave., Complainant advised three black male subjects were standing in front of their house. Area was checked, negative contact.
- Suspicious Person call on Mill Stone Bluff, Complainant advised 5-6 black males walking in the area. Area checked negative contact.
- Disturbing the Peace call on Knight St., Complainant advised subjects on location working the house next door. Workers were advised to stop working on the house for the night.
