Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between April 8 – 14, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the first part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction
- Dispute at Taylor’s – Ref to a female subject irate and cussing. Situation was mediated, all ok.
- Drug call on S. Broad St – Ref to finding 38D (Drugs) on the floor of the lobby. Collected, tested positive for cocaine, placed in evidence to be destroyed.
- Drug call on Kelton Road – Ref to sale of 38D to Mandy James in a red Camaro (BPD4976). Made contact with the vehicle and subjects. Denied consent to search and no K-9 available.
- Domestic problem call on Davis St., Ref to complainant bought two cars with settlement money, put the vehicles in her husband name and he took both cars and will not return them. Advised of the civil process.
- Damage to Property call on Green St., Ref to complainant vehicle was damaged while parked on Walton Rd sometime during the night.
- Dispute call on Claywill Cir., Ref to complainant disputing with male subject over a jump box. Situation mediated.
- Theft call on N. Midland Ave., Ref to two painted ceramic ducks, a set of wind chimes and vegetable plants taken after 2300 hours on 04-07-16. Requesting extra patrol. Report taken.
- Misc. call on Glen Iris Dr., complainant requesting a report due to continuously receiving mail for a male subject.
- Shoplifting call on E. Spring St., Ref to three black male juveniles that took candy. Checked the area with negative contact. Declined report/prosecution.
- Suspicious person call on Cherry Hill – Ref to four black juveniles riding bicycles in the roadway matching description of subjects involved in recent thefts in the area. Identified as four juveniles All checked ok.
- Domestic problem call on Pine Park St., Ref to a grandmother trying to break up a fight. Made contact with all parties, victim declined prosecution. Report made.
- Theft call on Union St., Ref to the theft of a Kent Ambush bicycle that is blue/white in color. Checked the area with negative contact. Report declined.
- Juvenile Complaint on 6th St., Ref to juveniles riding their bikes and throwing items at the residence. Complainant stated that two elementary age black male juveniles threw rubber toys at her windows and fled toward Bridgeport on the path. Area checked with negative contact.
- Suspicious person report taken at MPD, Ref to 20-year-old female sitting on the back bench crying. She advised that she was waiting on her mom to come pick her up from Alabama. Escorted female to W. Spring St (Waffle House), gave her $15.00 so that she could get something to eat while she waited for her mother. Advised the employees that she would be sitting there for about 4hrs. All ok.
- Officer’s called to S. Broad St., Ref to a storage unit that was opened 2hrs ago while complainant was there and the subjects took off after seeing her cleaning her unit. Nothing taken. Requesting extra patrol.
- Agency assist on Atha St., Ref to DFACS wanting to speak with children on location. All ok.
- Burglary call on Baron Dr., Ref to entry made through unsecured back door. X-Box, Ruger 22 revolver, and two rings taken. No serial numbers for any items.
- Missing person call on W. Marable St., Ref to 86-year-old male missing for 2hrs. Entered on GCIC.
- Civil Issue on Davis St., complainant disputing over property. Advised of remedies.
- Domestic Dispute, female subject took an iPad and left the scene. Subject is ex-girlfriend of complainant.
- Threats call on South Broad St., complainant advised she was threatened by the father of her son, because she’s dating her neighbor in the trailer next to her.
- Illegally Parked Vehicle on G.W. Carver Dr., Vehicle parked alongside yellow curb at George Walton Homes. Driver not on location. Vehicle tagged and was later removed.
- Discharge Firearms in the area of Lacy Street. Two (2) shots heard. Area heavily patrolled with negative contact.
- Juvenile Complaint on Carver Place, complainant called and advised her mother and sister was fighting. The mother advised the daughter was being unruly and would not do anything when told. Juvenile Complaint filed and juvenile was later picked up by her father, who resides in Gwinnett.
- Dispute – Non Violent call on West Spring St., McDonald’s. An upset customer attempted to come behind the counter regarding a drive-thru incident. Customer GOA upon arrival. All ok.
- Burglary Report on Douglas St., complainant returned home to locate her door opened and light onside inside house.
- Suspicious Person call on East Spring St., Bulldog Tire. Caller advised six (6) black males were on bicycles riding through Fast Auto Sales parking lot. Area checked with negative contact.
- Traffic Stop on 2nd St., and South Broad St. Ruben Rivis was arrested for suspended license, tag requirement, and no valid insurance coverage.
- Disturbing the Peace call on 6th St., Complainant advised male subject is in the backyard at the residence to the left of theirs, having a bonfire and being loud. Subject advised he would put fire out and go inside.
- Dispute – Non Violent call on New Lacy St., Caller advised a female subject was refusing to leave and beating on the back door. Female subject GOA upon arrival. Officer made contact with a gold Honda Accord on New Lacy St. and the driver jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle returned stolen out of Union Pointe and towed by towing service for holding.
