Monroe PD Reports: Subject runs off with vehicle on test drive – drops it off in Walnut Grove

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between April 8 – 14, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the second part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction

  • Suspicious vehicle speeding call on HD Atha & 138, White pickup and dark in color Camaro. Contact made with white pickup, did not observe any violations by officer.  All ok.
  • Officer called to W. Marable St., complainant advised someone was banging on her window. Negative contact with anyone in the area. All ok.
  • Unknown Problem call on Davis St., dispute between two subjects. Parties separated. All ok.
  • Dispute call on Davis St., complainant advised male subject was coming on her porch saying they took items from his residence. The male subject was Gone On Arrival. Contact made with male subject on Lacy St. Male subject stated several items were taken from his mother’s residence on Victory Dr. last date. Male subject was advised to tell his mother to call when she gets home.
  • Agency Assist, Reference Damage to property on South Broad St., MFD advised a tree fell through a trailer causing damage. Contact made with owner/resident. Monroe Fire placed caution tape around the residence. No injuries no one home.  Report taken
  • Officer’s called back to Davis St., complainant advised male subject back on location. Male subject was Gone On Arrival. Contact made with male subject and he was advised not to return to the residence and have his mother contact police to file a report if she was missing items.
  • Road closed at McDaniel St., large tree fell across power lines. Tree caused several telephone poles to lean and some broke in half. Street closed from Alcovy to McDaniel, Broad to McDaniel & Wayne to McDaniel. Power outage on McDaniel.
  • Entering Auto call on E. Church St., $247.00 removed from center console, from E-150 Van. The vehicle was left unlocked.
  • Dispute call on S. Broad St., complainant and G.F. Alexis Mosher disputing. Mosher admitted to beating complainant. Complainant also showed where Mosher destroyed their bedroom. Children were present during dispute. Mosher arrested, Warrants to be applied for Simple battery, Cruelty to children and possibly Criminal trespass
  • Threats call on White Oak Dr., The complainant advised a male subject in a white Honda threatened to whip his ass after he almost hit a mailbox when leaving the area. Contact made with complainant who advised he just wanted us to speak with the other party. Negative contact with second party.
  • Theft report call on Plaza Dr., complainant was upset due to her grandson took $50.00 dollars from her apartment and the apartment key. Complainant advised her grandson had been staying with her for the past two months. Complainant was advised of the eviction and warrant process. Report to be filed.
  • Stolen Vehicle report on W. Vine St., the complainant advised he allowed a subject to test drive the vehicle and they have not brought it back. Complainant called back prior to officer arrival and advised the vehicle is in Walnut Grove and he will attempt to retrieve it and cancelled officer.
  • Damage to Property call on Tanglewood Dr., complainant advised male subject broke her bedroom window. Male subject was GOA. Report to be completed due to complainant stated a family member of male subject was offering to pay for the window. Complainant advised she just wanted male subject barred from the property and her window to be paid for. Complainant advised to call police if male subject returned.
  • Burglary in progress call on Alcovy St., the landlord received a call from a third party advising someone was entering the apartment which is leased to a male subject who is currently in jail. Forced entry made through back door where latch to door knob was damaged and back window screen was removed with a stool under the window. Subjects located inside were Kimberly Valisa Hall Green and Robert Green who were in the front room of the apartment and had to be ordered to come out. Both subject arrested for Burglary and criminal trespass. Warrants to be taken by officer.
  • Theft Report call on S. Broad St., Unknown black female customer stole a cell phone, later returned the phone.  All ok
  • Fraud Complaint at Sims Gas For Less; Clerk advised that he printed two money orders for $461, customer took both, report taken.
  • Suspicious Person call on Birch Street; Tall male subject looking in a 5ft high window, negative contact after area was checked.
  • Suspicious Persons call at Hammond Park near Russell Drive; three black males in area after dark, subjects identified, waiting on ride, advised that the parks closed, all ok.
  • Accident on Alcovy St. at Glenwood Ave;  Joshua Jones arrested for DUI drugs Less safe, Failure to maintain lane, for almost causing an accident with another driver, then crashed into a ditch.
  • Suspicious Vehicle call on E. Marable and Birch St., male driver in silver Honda, not intoxicated.  All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle call on Tanglewood Dr. at Tanglewood Ln; Truck rolled down hill and into mud, owner removed vehicle.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle on W. Creek Cir; Contrairious Porter arrested for Failure To Appear out of Athens for Entering Auto, Driving on Suspended license.
