Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Sept. 18 – 27, 2015. This report is split into four parts due to the length. This is the third part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- Suspicious Vehicle call on Woodland Rd., complainant advised a bucket truck was in the area and there were no trees to be cut down. Contact made with the driver, vehicle ran out of gas. All Ok.
- Illegal Parking all on Hwy. 138, “Chick-fil-a” vehicle parked in handicap space with no handicap tag. All ok, has handicap permit.
- Burglary call on Felker St., complainant advised he’d been away for two days. Someone removed the padlock from his apartment door. Possibly landlord. Complainant stated there appeared to be nothing missing or disturbed. Complainant in the process of moving out. Complainant was advised to contact his landlord.
- Burglary call on, Royal Court, forced entry through back door kicked in. 50” flat screen T.V. and laptop computer taken. CID responded to process scene. Footprint located on backdoor. Laptop placed on GCIC. Incident occurred between 0730 and 1045 hours. Report taken.
- Dispute call on Lacy St., argument between 2 subjects over eviction process. Situation mediated all 10/4. Ongoing issues between the above parties.
- Fraud Report on W. Spring St. “Quality foods”, employee reported fraudulent checks. Cashed by two black males on 09-15-2015. Possible identification on subjects were given. Copies of checks submitted into evidence. Report taken.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on Pine Park and E. Church St., Harrison Bradford Jr. arrested. Driver w/o license, no seat belt, possession of marijuana less/oz. Towing company impounded vehicle.
- Officer’s called out to Clearview Medical Center, E.R. contact made with patient who refused to cooperate in reference to an altercation on Lacy St. two days ago.
- Found Property, keys located across from the National Guard Armory. Approximately 40 sets of keys located in the area. Turned in by employee with housing. Will be turned over to C.I.D. Keys likely belong to Monroe Auto Brokers or McGarrity & Carter Auto. Keys were returned to McGarrity & Carter Auto Sales. Supplemental report to be added.
- Area check at Monroe Area High School, due to rumor of possibly fights breaking out after dismissal in the bus area.
- Dispute call on Birch St. roommates arguing over medication. Situation mediated. Report taken.
- Report taken MAHS, complainant advised while in the gym his cell phone was stolen from his book bag. No video available in this area of the school. Report taken.
- Lost Item Report on Holly Hill Rd., complainant advised his wife’s wedding ring have been lost since 08-10-2015 and requested a report for the insurance company.
- Officer’s called out to Clearview Medical Center. Patient needed a ride from Clearview to Wal-Mart D.C. Patient was brought by EMS due to a fall breaking her arm and had no way back to her vehicle. Courtesy ride given.
- Anonymous Complainant call on Tanglewood Dr., reference to a speeding Red Camaro in the area driving reckless. Area checked with no contact with the vehicle.
- Agency Assist call on Georgia Ave. DFACS, Social worker requested officers to assist with removal of children (10 month old and 6 year old) from Edwards Street. Contact made with mother on Stokes Street. DFACS worker took custody of the children without incident.
- EMS Assist call on Edwards St., elderly female called and said she was locked in her bedroom. Upon arrival contact was made with female. Female is suffering from 1st stages of Dementia. Contact was made with her sons and female is scheduled to be admitted to Caring Hearts Home Health care on October 1st.
- Dispute call at Clearview, Reference case worked last night in reference to male subject. He was admitted to the hospital to be evaluated, however no facility has been able to accept him with his molestation history. They are still standing by for eval.
- Battery call on South Broad St. Callie Sargent and Thomas Mobley assaulted male subject. Sargent And Mobley arrested for battery.
- Harassment call on Mayfield Dr., ref unknown male sexually harassing female subject, was advised to change phone number requested incident to be documented.
- Suspicious vehicle call on Wheelhouse Ln., subjects riding dirt bikes. Subject advised he would stop riding bikes.
- Dispute call at SSMHP. Complainant disputing with subject about her sister being on location. Other sister was gone prior to officer’s arrival, advised them to call back if she returns.
- Follow up at MPD ref. to burglary that occurred last date supplement to case, 2 subject’s names given as possible suspects.
- Subject with firearm call on Pine Park St., black male, black shirt and black shorts had a firearm in waist band. Area checked on foot made contact with subject who matched description but no contact on firearm. Made contact with complainant who said subject left upon officer arrival.
- Domestic problem call on Ford St., male subject got caught cheating by female subject. Verbal only. Parties separated.
- Suspicious person call on South Broad St., Ricky Hosey on scene. Arrested for warrants for failure to appear out of Monroe.
- Suspicious person call on Glen Iris Dr. Officer went to turn around on two black males and when the officer arrived one male was remaining. The other left an orange bike in the driveway on Glen Iris Dr. and was last seen in the wood line.
- Subject with firearms call on Lacy St., subjects on scene said group of juveniles were loitering in the area and one said he was going to get a gun. Area checked with no contact.
- Domestic problem call on Towler St., Between brothers. Parties separated incident documented.
- Theft call on Sweet Gum Dr., complainant said this girlfriend stole his wallet. She advised that he moved out and took his belonging with him.
- Follow Up, CID Assist, on West Creek Circle, ride given to Juvenile and his mother, reference to being interviewed by CID in recent auto theft cases.
- Pick up call on Alcovy St., Clifford Williams arrested for probation violation. TOT Walton County Jail w/o incident.
- Wanted person attempt on Tanglewood Dr. no contact with subject at that location resident is complainant and advised to check Madison Ave.
- Complainant attempt on Madison Ave., consent to search given by resident. No contact with subject. Unknown whereabouts.
- Escort City Hall, employee’s advised female subject needed a ride back to her residence. Ride given to E. Marable Street.
- Wanted person attempt on S. Broad St., no answer at this address. A neighbor stated subject had not been at this address since he’s been in trouble.
- Lost Item Report call on South View Dr., complainant advised she lost her wallet containing all her personal documents.
- Damage to Property report call on Hill St., complainant advised her vehicle was damaged sometime between Saturday and this date. Damage was to the right front bumper which may have occurred in Social Circle. Report taken. Complainant also had a suspended license which had been suspended since 07-2015. Complainant served with suspension notice to which she was not happy.
- Follow Up call on South Broad St., subject given a ride to address to pick up clothing for kids. DFACS currently has open case and is pending investigation.
- Theft report/follow up on E. Spring St. “Monroe Auto Brokers”, Owner advised he noticed a dealer tag missing from the dealership.
- Suspicious Vehicle call by anonymous caller, Cook Street Sorrells Street area. Caller advised male subject is driving a White Chevy Suburban with no driver’s license. Area checked with negative contact.
- Other Law call on Tanglewood Dr., made contact with female subject in reference to appear before City court this afternoon. Message delivered.
- Area check on Alcovy St. reference to male subject on location possibly driving with suspended license. License checked was all valid. Probation advised.
- Escort film crew in the area of Hwy 78 W. on ramp and Hwy. 11. Scouting location for shoot in November.
- Suspicious Person call on Alcovy St. & Walker Dr., complainant advised elderly female on a scooter in the roadway. Contact made with subject all ok.
- Theft report call on Alcovy St., complainant advised her I-phone was taken. I-phone located in roadway by the officer which fell off her vehicle.
- Theft report taken on S. Broad St. MPD Lobby, theft occurred on Tanglewood Dr. SCCY 9mm handgun taken from complainant bedroom during a football party on Sunday. Weapon entered on GCIC.
- Loud Music complainant on Sorrells St. contact made at Sorrells Street music turned down.
- Agency Assist wanted suspect, “Big Lots”, subject Joshua Glaze had ran from officers on prior occasions. Glaze arrested Violation of parole, Turned over to officer.
- Theft report call on Lakeview Dr., mother reported her daughter’s pink Razor scooter was taken. Report taken.
- Identity Theft call at WCSO Lobby, complainant advised she received a collections notice from Wal-Mart and Discover for over $2300.00 in charges. Complainant was advised after contacting the collection agency, they gave her the address of a subject on Bridgeport Lane who complainant knows. Subject is currently incarcerated and will be listed as a suspect.
- Identity Theft call at WCSO Lobby, complainant advised when she pulled her credit report she noticed several dozen small charges not belonging to her in the amount of approximately $1200.00. The billing address came back to an Atlanta address.
- Hit and Run call on Hwy. 138, “Chick-fil-a” a brown jeep struck a red passenger vehicle and left the area. Incident occurred at the Marathon at W. Spring and Pine Crest. The complainant’s vehicle had odor of marijuana coming from it and a search was conducted with negative results. Report taken.
- Dispute call on Thompson Ridge Court, dispute between Husband and Wife over infidelity issues and accusations. Wife admitted to striking Husband. Wife arrested for simple battery F.V. Warrant to be taken by officers.
- 911 hang up call on South Broad St. SSMHP, contact made with male subject advised suspicious person came to the residence and then left when asked to. All ok.
- Suspicious vehicle call on 78 at North Broad. Reference wrong way driver westbound in eastbound lane. Only 1 caller Area checked no contact.
- Damage to property call on E Spring St., vehicle struck a Popeye’s sign in the parking lot. This occurred around 1400hrs. Report taken.
- Domestic problem call on Gatewood Dr Mother verbally disputing with son. Son was gone prior to officer’s arrival, all ok.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on S Broad/Southside. Driver parked illegally at Dollar General. No insurance and expired tag. Vehicle impounded by towing company.
- Suspicious person call, white older male sitting in his car outside Dairy Queen. He advised he was okay and waiting for the rain to slack off some before driving.
- Suspicious vehicle call at Deer Acres Inn subject was seen doing donuts in his pickup truck in the grass behind deer acres. Subject was identified. Report for documentation purposes.
- Burglary call on Lacy St., complainant advised her house was burglarized this date. Her neighbor advised it was two guys that she named that broke into the residence.
- Domestic problem call on Dorothy Dr., complainant requested an escort to his house. He was afraid female subject might be home and cause problems.
- Wanted person call on Walker Dr., unsecured premise received tip that female and male subject are staying on location. Numerous missing windows and doors not secured. Cleared house and all ok at this time.
- Burglary call on Felker St., Mother stated her son used house key to enter residence and take a baby bag with important documents inside.
- Trespassing call on Highway 138 (Balmar Outdoors & Pawn). Complainant advised four of their tactical military vehicles were tampered with while they were eating at Chick-Fil-A.
- Follow-Up on Pine Park Street. Assisted CID in locating a subject.
- Follow-Up on West Marable St., assisted SRO in attempting to make contact with male subject. Subject no longer resides at residence.
- Follow-Up on Sorrells St., EMS supervisor requested an officer while he spoke with a prior patient regarding a complaint.
- Domestic problem call on Lacy St., complainant called and advised subject took her vehicle without permission. Traffic stop conducted at Valero on East Spring Street. Vehicle returned to owner.
- Suspicious Vehicle on MLK Jr. Blvd (Tractor Supply). Gray Honda Accord in parking lot, known from previous shoplifting.
- Domestic problem call on Plaza Dr., complainant advised subject was on location and requested him to leave.
- Civil Issue walk-in on South Broad Street (Monroe Police Department). Complainant had questions about evictions process. Situation resolved.
- Suspicious Vehicle call on McDaniel Street near South Jackson St., driver leaned back in seat on phone, vehicle partially in roadway.
- Area check at Monroe Area High School. Adult B/M at Carver Middle School caused a scene and is en route to MAHS. Never showed up at MAHS. All ok.
- Officer called out to MLK Jr. Blvd (Checkers) with female subject. Subject requested an escort to Thompson Ridge Court because she’s staying with her mother due to her no contact bond.
- Fraud Report call on Cook Place Apartments. Complainant received an email scam asking for his personal information. Subject advised not to respond to email.
- Threats call on Felker St., complainant threatened verbally by male subject. Documentation report ONLY, no supporting evidence for criminal actions.
- Suspicious Person call on East Washington St., Radford Park. Male subject on location. Tenant advised she did not call the police, possibly her neighbors, but he had consent to be there.
- Juvenile Complaint on Ridge Rd., in reference to a 7 and 8 year old fighting earlier this date.
