Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between May 27 – June 6, 2016. This report is split into four parts due to the length. This is the first part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Theft, Atha St., complainant advised someone turned her outside water faucet on and used 6000 gallons of her water. Report taken.
- Suspicious person on S. Broad St. Two subject said their gas caps had been tampered with. No sign of vandalism. Report taken
- Damage to property call on Davis St., complainant said that there was a bullet hole in her outside A/C unit. Unknown when it occurred. Report taken.
- Child custody, 3rd St., mother said she was there to pick up her daughter from her Father but her daughter was not on location. Remedies advised.
- Accident on MLK Jr. Blvd. in front of Applebee’s 2 vehicles no injuries. Arrested 1 male for Driving while license suspended.
- Threat complainant taken at MPD lobby, complainant said that he was receiving threats on his cell phone from the cyber Police. It was discovered that his cell phone had a virus. All ok.
- Burglary call on Reed Way, complainant returned home to find her back door kicked in. Damage to multiple doors and a six pack taken from refrigerator.
- Dispute @ Lacy St/Pine Park St – Ref to a black male wearing a white shirt and blue shorts was seen hitting a black female with a broom, then pulled a gun on her. Negative contact with the male and female.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on Glen Iris Dr – Arrested Shun Redding for warrant out of WCSO.
- Alarm call on N. Broad St – Ref to silent hold up. Made contact with employee who stated male subject came into the store and was causing a disturbance. Employee stated he reached across the counter and grabbed her arm and tried to pull her. Employee did not want to prosecute but advised him not to come back to the store. Male subject was advised to leave and not return to the premises.
- Domestic dispute on Perry St – Ref to male subject on location refusing to leave. Made contact with complainant who stated that male subject was talking loud and he left when she called the police.
- Suspicious person on Walker Dr – complainant advised that a male subject shot her a bird while she was riding on Douglas St. Made contact with subject on Douglas St and advised him to call 911 instead of making contact with drivers. Subject advised that complainant shot him a bird also.
- Dispute on Ash Ln/Harris St – Ref to a large group of males possible about to fight. Crowd dispersed on arrival.
- Domestic dispute on Lacy St – Ref to two sister fighting. Both parties were drinking. One stated that the other hit her in the face. There were no signs of injury to the sister. The other sister decided to leave for the night. Both parties had different versions of the incident.
- Disturbing the peace on Ridge Rd – Ref to a group of about 10 people outside being loud. Small group of friends having a few drinks. Advised them to keep the noise down.
- Suspicious vehicle @ Truck Stop – Ref to a black passenger car in the parking lot and the subject inside the vehicle has binoculars. Made contact with 3 brothers. 2 of the brothers were talking with and consoling their brother who had just been dumped by his girlfriend.
- 911 Hang-up on Magnolia Terr – Ref to a drunk boyfriend in the back yard. Got the subject back in the residence.
- Fight on Radford St/Norris St – Ref to subjects in the yard and porch. Dispatch heard 2 shots fired. Arrested Jeremiah Vantroostenberghe DOC and False Name/DOB. Arrested Tracey Martinez for discharging a firearm near the roadway, discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol, and reckless conduct.
- Loud Music call on Nowell St – Arrested Marvin Jeff for DOC. Arrested Adajee Hubbard for obstruction and simple assault (released back to his mother).
- Burglary attempt on Baron Dr – complainant heard loud noise on his back porch. Saw 2 black males wearing white tank tops running away. No entry made.
- Assault at Clearview – complainant stated that someone pulled a gun on her at an unknown address and she jumped through a window. Located a broken window on Green St. Blood trail is not consistent with complainants account of what happened.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on N. Broad St – arrested Mattie King for DOC and driving while unlicensed.
- Missing person call on Chestnut Ln., Juvenile age 16 left home to spend night with another juvenile. Both juveniles not home this morning. Possibly got into a gray Dodge Ram truck with unknown adult black male. Both juveniles placed on GCIC. Report taken.
- Follow up on Chestnut Ln., both juveniles returned home. Removed from GCIC. One juvenile claimed the other juvenile had a possible sexual encounter with two unknown males. Juvenile denied claim. CID notified supplement to case.
- Juvenile complaint on E. Washington St., mother said her 11 year old daughter bit her and pinched her breast. Juvenile Court contacted. Mother declined to press charges Report taken.
- Entering Auto on Baron Dr., complainant said someone entered her vehicle sometime last night and stole 118 Percocet 10mg from her glove box. Report taken.
- Suspicious person on Davis St – Officer got out with 2 subjects one ran and the other a juvenile (14yr old). Arrested 14yr old for possession of marijuana. Turned juvenile over to his mother.
- Loud Music on Turner St – Made contact and advised to turn the music down.
- Dispute on E. Church St – Made contact with female subject (heavily intoxicated) who stated that a named male subject pushed her and she pushed him back. All ok.
- Unconscious person on Harris St – male subject got hit in the mouth by a named subject. Male subject transported to Clearview.
- Domestic dispute on Amber Tr – Eric Watts threw a rock into his mother’s vehicle causing the rear window to shatter. He was mad because she locked him out of the residence after a verbal altercation. Arrested Eric Watts for criminal trespass.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on Banker’s Blvd – Arrested Euriseo Sorrells for DUI and driving on a suspended license.
