Monroe PD Reports: Neighbor’s truck damaged during attempted vehicle theft

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between  June 26 – 30, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the second part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious person in the area of Michael Atchison and Highway 138. Two subjects possibly fighting in grass. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle, Pine Crest and Creek View. Ralph Harden arrested for stop sign and suspended license
  • Theft report, Arcadia Court. Bike taken from garage, and a different bike was in its place, same make of bike, but different model and color.
  • Welfare check, White Oak Dr. Complainant advised she had not had contact with her husband in days. Contact made, husband advised wife was in hospital in Norcross all week.
  • Unknown law/EMS assist, Maple St. reference to 48-year-old black male reduced level of consciousness. Male subject extremely intoxicated, suffered possible seizure turned over to EMS.
  • Scam report, Golfview Terrace, complainant reported a subject claiming to be grandson’s attorney said she needed to send $1820.00 to a male subject in New York to bail grandson out of jail in Miami.
  • Assault, West Spring, Clearview Regional Medical Center, complainant advised his wife threw a bottle of Benadryl, still in the box, that accidentally hit him in the face during an argument.
  • EMS assist at the Walton truck stop. Reference to a male subject passed out at a gas pump.  Family arrived and drove subject and vehicle home.
  • Dispute, Gliding Lane, reference to a child custody dispute. Situation mediated. All ok.
  • Dispute, E Church St., Dispute over money. Store clerk didn’t call police and had no knowledge of a dispute. No other parties on scene. All ok.
  • Dispute, Pine Park St. Reference to a dispute concerning male subject physically assaulting complainant’s 17-year-old daughter. Warrants to be taken for simple battery.  Male subject has active warrants and was GOA.  All ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Sorrells St., Complainant stated multiple juveniles hanging out under a pavilion on the property he lives on.  Advised him to call police to make contact with them when they are present. Juveniles were GOA. All ok.
  • Dispute, W Creek Circle, Verbal dispute between complainant and son over the use of complainant’s truck.  Son left on foot prior to officer’s arrival.  All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, S Broad St., reference to two males on property. Once officers arrived, they only made contact with two church workers.  No other persons were located. All ok.
  • Dispute, Clearview Regional Medical Center, Reference to complainant who told a nurse her brother is going to kill her mother.  After making contact with complainant she said her brother’s actions will cause health problems for her mother and that her brother isn’t going to physically kill her mom.  Complainant was highly intoxicated and under medication.  All ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Sorrells St., reference to a juvenile male who jumped out of his mother’s car while it was moving. Juvenile fled on foot in the area of Cook Apartments when officers arrived and was not located.
  • Loud Noise Complaint, Storehouse CT., reference to a group playing loud music. Crowd was dispersed and was advised on the noise ordinance.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle, Wheelhouse Ln., driver was issued a citation for no insurance and vehicle towed by towing company.
  • Fight Call, Fuzion’s, reference to three males fighting with security.  Upon arrival, Officers determined the incident was verbal only towards security. The three patrons were advised to leave the property by request of security personnel. All ok.
  • Stranded Motorist @ Hwy 78 & N Broad St., reference to a male who was left by friends.  Male requested he be driven to Huddle House on W. Spring Street.  All ok.
  • Dispute, Pine Park St., reference of a male wanting to get his property from that location.  Male stated he will return tomorrow to get his things. All ok.
  • Discharge Firearm, reference to a gunshot being heard by Officers in the area.  Area check was completed but no suspicious activity or persons were located. All ok.
  • Dispute, Maple Lane, Complainant was disputing with female subject. Another subject attempted to intervene and was pushed down the stairs.  That subject busted her lip when she fell down the stairs. Complainant was GOA. Warrants to be taken for battery.
  • Agency Assist, Forrest Ln. Gwinnett County requesting check residence for a runaway juvenile. Negative contact with juvenile.
  • Possible dispute, Magnolia Terrace. Dispatch advised phone number of caller returned to this residence.  Negative contact.  Subject has not lived there for three years.
  • Damage to property/theft report. S. Madison. Complainant stated an unknown subject attempted to steal his truck around 3 a.m. and struck neighbors vehicle. Subject also took two nail guns from back of truck valued at $200.00 each.
