Monroe PD Reports: Multiple domestic disputes, fights and erratic behaviors

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between  July 8 – 14, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the final part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Area check at Churches Chicken reference to black male, white female acted suspicious upon seeing officer’s blue lights on Perry St.  Area check inside of restaurant with negative contact.
  • Harassing phone calls, Meadow Cr., complainant had an extra marital relation with male subject. Complainant has told male subject to leave her and her family alone and he continues to call and text.  Complainant has male subject blocked from her phone and he is now calling from an unknown number. Advised of good behavior warrant process.
  • Shoplifting, N. Broad St. Matt’s food mart. Store clerk did not want to arrest subject but serve prohibited entry.  Located male subject and served with prohibited entry.
  • Harassment, West 5th St., complainant stated her ex-boyfriend has a no contact bond condition.  Remedies Advised, Report taken.
  • Juvenile complaint, playground in Carver Place.  Reference to juveniles attempting to start fire.  Contact made with parents.  No fire.
  • Officer Requested to Norris St., S-O flagged down reference to traffic issue. Civil Matter, male subject trying to get property from residence.  Residence refused to come to door. Subject referred to Magistrate Court.
  • Theft report, East Spring St., complainant wanted to file a theft report on phone she allowed her ex-boyfriend to use.  Escorted to PD to meet ex-boyfriend at PD to retrieve phone.
  • Suspicious Person, W. Vine St., Ref to a female chasing after an ambulance. Subject was arrested for possession of meth.
  • Subject with a weapon, Norris St., Ref to two male subjects arguing and one has a gun. Arrested Nathaniel Fisher for DOC.
  • Violent fight, Walker Dr., Ref to males and females fighting two houses to the right on Walker Dr. Jacob Smith ran on foot. Arrested Jacob Smith for Battery (FV) and Cruelty to Children (3 counts). Smith was arrested later on Walnut Drive.
  • Violent domestic, Meadow Walk Dr., Ref to complainant advised that her ex-girlfriend pulled a knife on her and threatened her. Made contact with both parties. No threats were made and no knife was pulled on complainant. Situation was mediated. Report taken for documentation.
  • Dispute, 6th St., Ref to several subjects arguing and cursing across the street. Male subject and female subject arguing over a missing cell phone. Parties were separated.
  • Area check, Monroe Motor Inn, Ref to a female subject advising that a black male and Hispanic male were harassing her. Arrested Mary Jones for FTA out of Gwinnett County. Negative contact with the male subjects.
  • Theft, 4th St., Ref to a stove stolen off back porch sometime over the last two days.
  • Area check @ Bait Shop – Ref to two small juveniles playing near the street. Made contact with the mother who advised that she would have them play in the back yard
  • Dispute @ Clearview – Ref to subject fighting with the nurses. Subject was restrained prior to arrival.
  • Suspicious person, 6th St., Ref to a male subject walking around the neighborhood shining lights into houses. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Follow-up, Walnut Dr., male subject was on location wanting to turn himself in from earlier fight call on Walker Dr. Amber Prince was arrested for Simple Battery.
  • Suspicious vehicle, W. Spring St., Ref to a maroon Ford truck that has been watching the business on and off this date. Negative contact with the truck. Complainant requesting extra patrol.
  • Domestic, Pine Park St., Ref to male subject on location intoxicated. Subject was GOA.
  • Dispute @ Clearview – Ref to male subject on location fighting with the nurses. Subject was restrained and given medication.
  • Traffic violation, Knight St/Pine Park St., Harlen Joe Davis was arrested for possession of cocaine, reckless driving and Morgan County Shoplifting warrant. Towing company towed the vehicle.
  • Dispute, Magnolia Terrace, Ref to two subjects having a verbal dispute. Parties were separated.
  • Traffic violation, S. Broad St/Wells Fargo – driver issued citations for violation of Class CP license and speeding. Juvenile was arrested for tampering with evidence (eating marijuana) and curfew violation. Juvenile was turned over to his father and driver caught a ride back to his residence with juvenile’s father.
  • Assault report, S. Broad St., Hardee’s, male subject stated he was punched in the face by an unknown black male around 0330. Requested extra patrol in area of  Bell St.
  • Domestic problem, Gliding Lane, mother and son verbally disputing. Son GOA, all OK.
  • Domestic problem, Southside MHP, Male and female arguing.  Male agreed to leave and was transported to the Barrow County line as he is from Winder.
  • Fraud, Gatewood Way, complainant advised that she went to Fuzion’s back in May and used her debit card. She advised that she has not been back but someone made charges yesterday at Fuzion’s on her debit card.
  • Unsecured building, W. Spring St., customer went to Sake Express to order food. Door was unlocked but no workers on location. While clearing the building, an employee came out of the restroom and advised they would be open tomorrow.
  • Agency assist @ Court St – Ref to meeting with DFACS and going to Tanglewood Dr. DFACS removed the infant from the residence.
  • Dispute, S. Madison Ave., complainant advised that a named male subject drove by the house, yelled at him and then attempted to hit him with the vehicle. Incident occurred at Vine St/Alcovy St. Warrants to be taken for Agg Assault.
  • Dispute @ Sussie’s Wings – Ref to male subject on location intoxicated. Escorted subject to Pine Knoll
  • Fight @ Baron Dr – Ref to several females in the roadway screaming and fighting. Negative contact with anyone.
  • Domestic, Heritage Ridge Dr., complainant advised that his wife threatened to burn his receipts and papers earlier this date. He also advised that she was acting silly. Complainant is currently in Florida. A note was left on location leaving items to family members after arson attempt. There were also empty pill bottles in the residence.  A neighbor stated that the wife left the residence at a high rate of speed in a grey 2002 Jeep Liberty. The wife has made threats of suicide by overdose. BOLO given out.
  • Civil Issue/Dispute.  Eagles Tr., complainant stated that his nephew brought clothes to his residence for someone else. Nephew was not on location at this time.
  • Warrant service @ MPD – Arrested Madison McCurdy for poss of meth, poss of marijuana, poss of dangerous drugs, and poss of drug related objects.
  • Suspicious person @ Sussie’s Wings, officer got out with three subjects; Cartavious Towler, Robert Heard, and another male subject. Towler and Heard were arrested for probation violation warrants.
  • Foot chase @ Washington St., (16-year-old male) was arrested for runaway out of Snellville PD. Met with Snellville PD at the QT in Loganville where the juvenile was turned over.
