Monroe PD Reports: More entering auto, stolen vehicle, iPhone repairs…

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between  July 8 – 14, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the fourth part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Entering Auto, Clubside Dr., complainant advised her vehicle was entered the night prior. No damage occurred to vehicle and nothing was taken.
  • Firearms Discharged, South Hubbard St., complainant advised of shots fired in area. Officers located a group of juveniles at the corner or South Hubbard and East Washington Street setting off fireworks. Complainant became upset with officers when they advised him of their findings.
  • Domestic, South Madison Ave., complainant wanted to kick girlfriend out of house for being at her sister’s house where ex-husband lives. Advised of eviction process; girlfriend left for the evening to stay at a local hotel. Documentation report only.
  • Burglary In-Progress, Glen Iris Dr., complainant called and advised someone was attempting to get into the house. It was determined the house was split into three (3) apartment and one of the neighbor was knocking on the door, regarding the other neighbor’s noise. All ok. Negative on burglary.
  • Unknown Law, Colley St., complainant requested an officer for assistance regarding her cell phone. Officer restarted her cell phone and it functioned properly.
  • Felony Traffic Stop – Stolen Vehicle, West Spring St., Marathon Gas Station. Officer Identified vehicle from earlier day shift BOLO. Daniel McFalls arrested for theft of a motor vehicle and driving on suspended license. Female subject released on scene pending further investigation. Marijuana, Meth and pills were located inside the vehicle in a black bag containing the owner’s items and EBT card. Case will be followed up to determine correct charges, if any, on the subjects. Towing company towed vehicle to MPD parking lot.
  • Civil Issue, Booth Dr., complainant requested an officer to escort her so she could retrieve her property.
  • Domestic problem, Tanglewood Dr., between complainant and male subject. Complainant stated male subject punched her in face and put hands around throat and then damaged complainant’s white LG cell phone. Female subject witnessed event. Report taken, warrants to be secured for male subject by officer.
  • Theft report taken at MPD lobby, complainant stated female subject took his 20” wheels to Athens and sold them. Report taken.
  • Theft report in back parking lot of MPD. Mark Davis stated he left wallet in shopping cart @ Quality Foods and when he went to retrieve it, B/M juvenile stole it and ran off towards Plaza Dr. through woods. Report taken
  • Suspicious person, Davis St. Subjects on location removing property and residence is vacant. Landlord was giving away property on location so new tenants could move in. All ok
  • Fraud, W. Highland Ave., complainant advised unknown suspect was trying to use her Discover card to do a wire transfer for unknown sum of money. Report taken
  • Damage to property, Monroe Utilities (N. Broad St.) employee of Monroe Public Works advised during right of way maintenance, a weed eater threw a rock and hit vehicle breaking a window. Report taken.
  • Dispute, Pine Park, complainant disputing w/ male subject over property line and yard work, situation mediated.
  • Burglary call on Dorothy Dr., complainant stated female subject possibly tried to break into house to remove items. Damaged window discovered but entry not made, report taken.
  • Domestic problem, Plaza Dr., complainant disputing w/ female subject due to them ending relationship and complainant wanted his property. Property retrieved w/o issue, all ok
  • Identity theft report taken at MPD lobby. Complainant advised unknown suspect somehow used her driver license to rent van in Ogden, Utah.
  • Domestic problem, N. Hubbard St., complainant had questions about leaving husband. Husband was gone when officers arrived. Complainant advised of remedies.
  • Harassing calls report taken at MPD. Complainant advised female subject has been sending text messages and 3rd party social media messages after being asked to stop.
  • Juvenile Complaint, East Church St., Monroe Church of God. Two male juveniles seen on playground possibly smoking drugs and was in possession of a BB gun. Juveniles GOA upon arrival and it was discovered they shot the rear window out of the church van.
  • Juvenile Complaint, West Spring St. Walmart. Complainant advised four male juveniles caused a disturbance because he was carrying a sidearm with permit. All parties were GOA upon arrival.
  • Domestic, Green St., The complainant’s son refusing to leave residence. Subject GOA upon officer’s arrival.
  • Suspicious Person, East Marable St., complainant advised her neighbor walked through her yard.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., Little Caesars. Red Nissan Sentra occupied by several adults and two (2) kids were observed not to have car seats. Driver of vehicle was waiting for another ride to arrive to pick up the kids and their mother.
  • Firearms Discharged, Meadow Walk Dr., Complainant advised they could hear three (3) shots from residence across the street. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, South Broad St., Horizon Roofing. Complainant advised a white male subject was at rear of building. Subject identified and stated he was contracted out by Windstream to replace the power supply in the box.
  • Domestic, Sherwood Dr., complainant and Michael Wolf in verbal dispute. Wolf left location prior to officer’s arrival. No physical altercation took place. Documentation report only.
  • Agency Assistance, Georgia Avenue – DFCS. Case worker requested an officer to be present while they remove two (2) juveniles from their parents.
  • Burglary Report, Magnolia St., complainant advised her screen door and window was opened. Burglar screen on rear window was partially removed and window was raised. No entry made and no items reported missing. Criminal Trespass report made.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Store House Court. Complainant advised of an on-going issue regarding a pickup truck parked on location with indecent occupants. Contact was made and all ok. Occupants were fully dressed.
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of Highway 78 and Unisia Drive. Caller advised a possible Camaro or Charger was driving recklessly and speeding. Negative contact with vehicle.
  • Domestic, Stokes St., male and female subjects in dispute. Both intoxicated. Documentation report only.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Davis St., Complainant’s 14 year old son being disrespectful and left residence without permission. Requested officers to speak to her son.
  • Threats, King St., complainant advised Housing Authority wanted male subject barred from Housing Authority.  Officer’s made contact on Green St.  Male subject served with prohibited entry for Housing Authority.
  • Domestic problem, S. Madison “hands of thyme” patient from personal care home escaped, wanted to go home. Patient agreed to return to the care home with staff.
  • Burglary report, Davis St., complainant on location stating unknown persons entered residence sometime during the night and broke glass plates and china cabinet. No signs of forced entry.
  • Suspicious person in the area of the library West Spring St. reference to a white male walking in and out of traffic. Area check with negative contact.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle Troy Smith and HW 78.  Subject arrested for DUI, FML, and open container.  Vehicle towed by towing company.
  • Suspicious vehicle, West Spring St. Clearview Regional.  Passer by advised white Audi on location since march.  Security was Advised the hospital can tow the car at their convince.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Berch St. Caller advised older model white van occupied by a black male on location for 30 min.  Vehicle gone on arrival.
  • Entering auto, Pine Crest Dr., complainant stated her BMW suv and husbands truck were entered last night. Nothing taken declined report. Requested extra patrol due to high volume of foot traffic.
  • Unknown problem, Davis St., male subject laid out next to residence.  Heavily intoxicated, Refused EMS and transport to Clearview.
