The Monroe community is invited to join members of the Monroe Police Department on Tuesday to celebrate National Night Out. The event will take place from 3 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Wayfarer Music Hall, 114 N. Broad Street, Monroe. There will be goody bags, shaved ice, and an opportunity to have your picture taken with one of Monroe’s local heroes.
You are invited to join the 38 million plus neighbors and more than 16,000 communities from all 50 states that will be participating in the 2016 National Night Out. It is an annual event, that begin in 1984, setting aside a day to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.
