Monroe PD Reports: Walmart employee arrested for skimming from till, vicious animal put down

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between  July 22 – 28, 2016. This report is split into four parts due to the length. This is the first part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Entering auto, Plaza Tr., Silver Honda accord in Country Grove apts. Complainant reports wallet with contents taken.
  • Report taken in PD Lobby. Civil issue, complainant evicted from Housing Authority for allowing barred husband to be on location.  Referred to Housing Authority.
  • Entering Auto, GW Carver Dr., and complainant said someone entered her vehicle last night and stole her old cell phone.
  • Request officer to Birch St, mother stated her daughter is driving a black Acura with no tag/insurance and no license. Further advised daughter’s boyfriend might have warrants.
  • Runaway Juvenile, East Washington, Juvenile possibly on location.  Located Juvenile and transported to Kroger in Loganville and turned over to Snellville Police Department.
  • Child Custody Dispute, Atha St., mother had court documents relinquishing custody to her.  Children turned over to mother. All ok.
  • Civil issue, S. Broad St., Complainant stated neighbor’s yard debris washed into yard last night during storm. Neighbor agreed to clean yard.
  • Civil issue, Marable Ct., Over furniture garnishment from 2011.  Both parties referred to Magistrate court.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St. WalMart. Not shoplifting. Subject arrested for IA investigation of skimming money from till for a month totaling $601.24 warrant obtained.
  • Missing person(s), Walton Road, mother reporting that her 5-year-old daughter and 6-year-old niece missing for 45 min. They were located in the back yard playing. DFACS responded. Subject was arrested for warrants.
  • Burglary, Lakeview Dr., complainant said someone broke into her house last date and stole TV and Kindle tablet.
  • Suspicious person, S. Broad St., called in by customer who advised black female on bike on location panhandling.  Both parties were gone when police arrived.
  • Unknown problem, Bell St. Dispute between two subjects, situation mediated.
  • Agency assist, Meadow Ct., DFACS requesting officer at residence. Negative contact with anyone at the residence. All ok.
  • Domestic, Tall Oaks Ln., complainant advised that her grandmother and mother were disputing. She also advised that her grandmother threatened her mother with a knife. Grandmother has dementia and a brain tumor.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Green St., Ref to a subject on a scooter driving reckless. Checked the area with no contact.
  • Animal complaint @ Walmart – Ref to a K-9 in a truck with the windows barely cracked. Made contact with the owner and K-9. K-9 was alright.
  • Suspicious person at Mobley Cir – Made contact with subject who had a BB. The gun was not loaded.
  • Juvenile complaint, Boulevard, Ref to a male subject swinging on the swings at First United Methodist Church. Made contact with juvenile who was waiting on his dad and sister to come back from playing Pokemon Go.
  • Burglary in progress, Booth Dr., Arrested Jerimiah Dukes and Anthony Baker.
  • Vicious Animal, Walker Dr., Ref to K-9 attacking male subject. K-9 was put down. Subject was transported to Athens Regional.
  • Shots fired, S. Broad St., Melissa Pittman advised that she believes that her window was shot with a BB gun. Her passenger side mirror was a shot with a BB gun.
  • Wanted person, Athens Clarke County, Met Athens Clarke County at Striplings to pick up Alex Michael Robinson. Arrested and transported Robinson to Walton County Jail.
  • Rolling domestic, Gliding Ln., Intoxicated subject cited for disorderly conduct and released on copy due to her medical condition.
  • Domestic problem, Gliding Ln., complainant stated her husband struck her in the face after some investigation, negative on domestic. Civil issue over eviction process. The husband advised his wife has medical issues and off meds. Situation Mediated.
  • Domestic problem on Lacy St, in roadway, over cell phone. Complainant got her phone back.
  • Burglary report, Reed Way, complainant reports she moved out yesterday and came back today to find back door kicked in.
  • Burglary report, Walker Dr., complainant reported an unknown party entered his vacant residence and took several items
  • Officer Request to MPD in reference to complainant having questions about suspicious activity in his area.
  • Harassing phone calls, Wheelhouse Lane, complainant requested help on explaining gofundme.com to her elderly father.
  • Dispute, West Tall Oaks, complainant disputing with another subject about going to store. Situation mediated, Subject gathered items and left the scene, remedies advised.
  • Officer request at Burger King, female subject (homeless) had nowhere to go while it was raining. She is trying to get to Athens to the homeless shelter or back to Virginia.
  • Domestic, Booth Dr., complainant advised that female subject has his car keys and will not return them. Report taken.
  • Suspicious person Follow-up at MPD –in reference to entering auto report. Arrested Roshard Williams.
  • Shoplifting at Walmart – Arrested subject for $37.76 worth items taken.
  • Suspicious person, S. Madison Ave., Made contact with a male subject that was bleeding. Turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a fight that occurred in the county.
