Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Sept. 2 – 28, 2016. This report is split into six parts due to the length. This is the fifth part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Suspicious person at Walmart – Ref to a subject, sleeping on location on the bench and on the electric carts. Subject was issued a prohibited entry to not return to Walmart.
- Fire assist at E. Spring St. (Mr. Quick) in regards to grease fire on grill. Officer extinguished fire with his extinguisher and scene turned over Monroe Fire.
- Welfare check at Shamrock Dr. in regards to 4 and 5-year-old male juveniles on location with father and mother who wants sons back. After making contact w/ DFACS in Chicago, IL and Walton County and gathering further information, sons were picked up by mother.
- Domestic problem on E. Church St. between mom and daughter and mom wanted daughter kicked out. Mom advised of eviction process and did not like the legal process so Mom walked off.
- Suspicious person at Tall Oaks Drive in regards to complainant advised of man wearing blue jeans keeps going around and sitting on peoples porches. Contact made with male subject and subject stated a named person gave him permission to sit on porch. Contact made with that person and she advised subject needed to leave. Subject given escort by officer to S. Madison Ave., all ok.
- Suspicious vehicle on Highway 78 East. White passenger vehicle with red writing on back was unable to maintain lane. Officer got with vehicle, all ok. Driver was using GPS
- Harassment at Stokes St., complainant advised male subject keeps calling her in regards to his kids. Complainant advised of remedies, all ok.
- Domestic problem, Clearview Regional Medical Center between two family member’s over family in hospital. Verbal only, situation mediated.
- Medical patient at Clearview left in gown and walked to W. Spring St. Patient was returned to Clearview, all ok.
- Custody dispute at N. Midland Ave between male and female over custody of daughter. Male is not legitimized so he was advised of process and child went with female.
- Damage to property at Knight St. in regards to toddler threw a watch through glass door, all ok.
- Follow up at Clearview in regards to male patient from above call not cooperating with staff again. Patient became combative with staff and all units arrived restrained patient in bed while staff administered medical treatment. All ok.
- Assist Day Shift with patient fighting with officers and medical staff at Clearview. Patient restrained to bed and sedated. All ok.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle, East Marable St., arrested Keith Floyd for suspended license, no insurance. Vehicle impounded by towing company.
- Harassing phone calls, West Spring St., Clearview Medical. Complainant requests report for TPO against two subjects.
- Domestic problem, West Marable St., Both parties intoxicated. Deloris Fambrough arrested for FV Battery against named male subject.
- Suspicious person, Truck Stop. Driver advised of white female in green shirt going truck to truck. Contact made with driver who advised she asked to get into the truck and then walked off. 10-66 area with negative contact.
- Domestic problem, Bridgeport Pl. Verbal dispute only between male and female subjects, male subject was GOA, all ok.
- Missing person, West Spring St., Clearview. Patient from beginning of shift ran out of hospital. Security brought him back to his room where he received a second shot and went back to sleep.
- Dispute, Claywheel Cir., male and female disputing over fidelity. Female GOA.
- Runaway Juvenile, Southside MHP. Son not returning home after a dispute with his mother.
- Dispute, Atha St., complainant upset about a friend drinking. Situation mediated.
- Wanted person, Wheel House Ln., two apartments for male subject. Consent to search one apt. Negative contact, denied consent to search other apt.. Address on warrants is in Barron Properties.
- Theft report, North Broad St., Golden Pantry. Clerk advised man possibly shoplifting candy but not certain of theft. Area checked with negative contact. Clerk requested report.
- Theft report, East Tall Oaks Dr., complainant advising cell phone taken.
