Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Sept. 2 – 28, 2016. This report is split into six parts due to the length. This is the fourth part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Stolen Vehicle, Maple Lane, complainant advised he woke up this morning to find his blue Jeep Cherokee missing from the driveway along with his girlfriend of nine years. Complainant attempted to contact his girlfriend but hasn’t gotten an answer and his keys were missing from inside the house. GSP advised he was currently investigating a traffic crash involving this vehicle and complainant’s girlfriend driving it. No report taken due to not being stolen…
- Dispute, East Spring St., – Taylor’s Wrecker Service. Complainant from above on location wanting to get items from his wrecked vehicle. Subject advised to return next business day.
- EMS Assist, South Madison Avenue – Monroe Fire Department. Officer flagged down in reference to a possible asthma attack. Subject transported to Clearview Regional Medical Center by EMS.
- Criminal Trespass, Victory Dr., male subject was given a criminal trespass warning not to return to the property. He think he’s in a relationship with female subject, which they’re not together and she requested him not to return.
- Suspicious Vehicle, on St. Ives Walk. Caller advised a white truck pulling a trailer of pine straw have been driving around the neighborhood. Negative contact with vehicle upon officer arrival.
- Lost Property, Tall Oaks Lane. Sixteen-year-old male subject advised he lost his cell phone in the woods near Harris Street. The mother was unaware of the contact made with police and declined an incident report.
- Suspicious Vehicle, exiting Highway 78 westbound and turning left (south) onto Broad Street. Vehicle was described as a black Kia failing to maintain its lane of travel. Negative contact with the vehicle on Broad Street.
- Suspicious Person, East Washington St., Caller advised male subject refusing to leave, after he provides her transportation around town when asked. Male has crush on female.
- Traffic Stop, on North Broad St., at Highland Avenue. Passenger Thadeous Williams arrested for an active and valid probation warrant out of Walton County.
- Suspicious person, Breedlove Dr – Ref to a 46-year-old white female lying in the grass screaming and yelling at the security guard. EMS transported female to Clearview for mental evaluation.
- Domestic dispute at Hardee’s – male subject wanting a report for a dispute that happened last Friday.
- Damage to property at Booth Dr – No damage to property. Will be an accident report.
- Welfare check at Alcovy St – Ref to making contact with husband from above incident to advise him that his wife (the 46-year-old female that was lying in the grass screaming) was at Clearview. Made contact and delivered the message.
- Juvenile complaint at E. Washington St – Ref to a 7-year-old and 8-year-old fighting.
- Suspicious person at E. Church St – Ref to a black female with a blue hair wrap and blue shorts on a bicycle asking for money and sticking her tongue out as she does so. Searched the area with no contact.
- Prowler at E. Marable St – complainant advised that someone was attempting to get in her front door. She heard the screen door slam. Checked the area with no contact.
- Prowler at Shamrock Dr – Ref to complainant hearing a woman’s voice at the door and knocking. Checked the area with no contact.
- EMS assist at Tanglewood Dr – Ref to 19yr old female, having a panic attack. EMS transported to Clearview.
- Juvenile complaint at S. Broad St., – Ref to mother’s juvenile son, was out past curfew. Juvenile returned home while on scene.
- Business alarm at 700 S. Madison Ave – Ref rear door and office motion. Cinder block thrown through double-pane glass on back door. Entry was made into the building. Nothing appeared to be taken. Empty back pack with live ticks crawling on it possible left on location by suspects.
- Domestic dispute, Stokes St – Ref to male subject on location wanting to go inside residence. The complainant, had a DFACS safety plan stating that the named male subject was to NOT be on location. Sent male subject on his way.
- Welfare check at Shamrock Dr – Mother contacted Rockdale PD and advised them that her boyfriend/father of the children, took her children without permission. Juveniles were on location and advised Rockdale County.
- Fight at Fuzions – Ref to two females fighting. Subjects were GOA.
- Entering auto at 1405 Creek View Dr – Arrested Kevin Smith for entering auto.
- Dispute at N. Broad St – Ref to male and female arguing over gas. Escorted male subject to Stowers St.
- Missing person at King St – named female left for the movies at 1600 and has not returned. Barrow County advised that they were out with the broke down vehicle and juveniles. They were standing by waiting on AAA.
