Monroe PD reports it responded to this and the following calls between Oct. 21 – 27, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the fourth post for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Domestic, S. Madison Ave., Complainant advised that a male and female subject were arguing. He also advised that the male subject had a warrant. Made contact with male and female subject’s there was no warrant for the male subject and there was no dispute. Complainant later admitted to trying to get the male subject arrested so that he could be with the female subject.
- Warrant Service, Stokes St/S. Madison Ave., arrested complainant (from above call) for Monroe failure to appear.
- Theft report/Entering auto @ WCSO – Complainant/victim advised that her purse was taken from the passenger side floor board while she went to pay for gas at Murphy’s USA around 2115hrs. Suspect vehicle is an unknown black passenger car. Victim’s debit card was used at a Marathon gas station.
- Juvenile complaint, Lacy St., Ref to 2 black males in the complainant’s backyard. Males were gone when police arrived.. Searched the area with no contact.
- Traffic violation @ Hwy 78w/Marable St. bridge, The passenger, Charles Collins, was arrested for probation warrant out of Oglethorpe County.
- Animal Complaint, Michael Etchinson Rd., Complainant advised of an on-going issue with K-9’s chasing him each day he walks to work. Residence in country jurisdiction. Turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
- Suspicious Person, Bridgeport Place, Hispanic female who has medical issues, wearing a sweater and pajama pants and walking around neighborhood checking vehicle doors. Subject tracked back to Bridgeport Place where contact was made with female and her caregiver. Advised to monitor subject and not allow her to wonder
- Unruly Juvenile, Double Springs Church Road – Monroe Area High School. Juvenile refused to let complainant into vehicle Friday at the Boys and Girls Club and failed to come home. Dad found him at school today. Juvenile complaint filed.
- EMS Assist, Plaza Dr., in reference to an unconscious female that took an unknown amount if Lortab. Female was conscious. Transported by EMS to Athens Regional Medical Center – possible stroke, not overdose.
- Suspicious Vehicle, Lacy St., Caller advised there’s a red vehicle on Lacy Street and disconnected the line. Area checked with negative contact.
- Damage to Property, Gatewood Way, complainant advised all the tires on his vehicle were cut on his two (2) vehicles last night.
- Mental Subject, Maple Street. DHS requested an escort to this address for a medical evaluation. Subject who they were looking for was not on location.
- Suspicions Vehicle, West Spring St. Walmart. Caller advised a canine left in a blue Ford Explorer appeared to be in distress. Vehicle gone upon officer arrival.
- Welfare Check, West Vine St., female subject called wanting to talk with an officer. Subject is upset but stated she doesn’t want to harm herself.
- Assist Bail Bondman, Valero on Highway 138. Caller advised she was taking a subject to the Walton County Jail, but he was being combative. All ok.
- Suspicious Vehicle in the area of West Spring St. Walmart. Caller advised small maroon passenger car has a strong odor of a marijuana smell emitting from the vehicle. Area checked with negative contact.
- Armed robbery @ Kutz Amazing – Shop owner robbed at gunpoint by a black male wearing a striped shirt, blue jeans. Suspect ran on foot toward old Dollar General and possibly got into a yellow Pontiac passenger car. Suspect got approximately $900-$1,000.
- Domestic, Cook St/in the hole, complainant advised that a named subject took her car keys. While en route, complainant advised that she got her keys back but still wanted a report. Searched the area for complainant and unable to locate.
- 911 Hang-up, Mill St., complainant in a physical dispute with another female. Conflicting stories, no arrest made. Parties were separated for the evening.
- Suspicious vehicle, McDaniel St/Pinecrest Dr., Ref to a white vehicle almost wrecked into the complainant’s vehicle. Searched the area with no contact.
- Loitering, Tractor Supply, Ref to several pickup trucks on location with juveniles throwing a football in the parking lot. Subjects were advised to leave the area.
- Suspicious vehicle, Nowell Rec Center, Ref to a white Trans Am and another white car near the wood line behind the Rec Center. Vehicles then went to the Wells Fargo ATM. Searched the area with no contact.
- Damage to property, Mill St., complainant was sitting at home when the cable TV turned off. She walked outside to find the cable wires had been cut on the side of the house. She suspects a named subject of cutting them due to the prior dispute. Report taken.
- Unknown law, Walton St., male subject was drunk and could not find his wallet. Located wallet while on scene. Also located marijuana and pills while on location. Collected marijuana and pills. Turned into evidence to be destroyed.
- Stolen vehicle, Plaza Dr., White 2016 Jeep Patriot Sport bearing expired tag “KORI”. Vehicle was left unoccupied and running in the parking lot. Entered on GCIC. Lien holder is ALLY.
- Fire assist, Birch St/Old Athens Hwy – Ref to a vehicle on fire about 75ft off the road. Probably the Jeep Patriot from earlier call. CID notified.
- Suspicious Vehicle, N. Hammond Dr., near Kutz Amazing, Newer model Ford Mustang parked. Registered owner male subject Woodlake Blvd. Sent WCSO to address. Contact made with a truck driver advising owner leaves vehicle while he drives his truck route. All ok.
- Anonymous call, wanted subject, Bridgeport Place, caller advised Ashley Lee on location with valid 10/29 out of Walton County for probation violation. Contact made with Ashley Lee arrested, Turned over to Walton County Jail.
- Suspicious Vehicle, Failure to maintain lane, W. Spring & Breedlove, complainant advised Black Silverado, unable to maintain lane. Checked area with negative contact.
- Suspicious Vehicle, N. Broad St., complainant advised he was being followed by a Red in color truck. Requested to meet with an officer at the Golden Pantry. Second party of red truck gone when complainant indicated he was calling 911. Negative contact with driver of second vehicle
- Suspicious person, Magnolia Terrace, contact made with Tommy Williams, possible warrants out of Alabama for Parole violation. Subject wanted is missing a finger on his left hand. Subject out with officer had all his fingers. He was, however, arrested for public intoxication.
- Trespassing, Walton Rd., complainant advised someone turned around in his front yard leaving tire tracks. No damage done to the yard but complainant wanted to report it. No suspect information.
