Monroe PD responded to the following calls between Oct. 28 – Nov. 3, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the third post for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Suspicious Person, East Spring St., Spring Street Laundry in reference to a female sleeping on location, possibly homeless. Contact made with female and asked not to return to the property.
- Animal Complaint, East Church St., caller advised a pit-bull running loose. Dog located on East Church St. and was not aggressive nor was an ID tag located on collar.
- Follow-Up, West Spring St., Taco Bell, complainant advised she’s located her stolen iPod from a GPS signal, which displays it on Etten Court. Contact made with the residence on Etten Court who advised two named juveniles had possession of the iPod last date. The iPod was stolen from an entering auto case. Supplemental to original report.
- Shoplifting, West Spring St. Walmart. LP – Tim Coleman has female subject in office for shoplifting. Officer made contact with Laquisha Tuggle who shoplifted $332.77 worth of groceries and Halloween costumes. Subject also had two warrants for her arrest out of Walton County.
- Wanted Subject, Parkway Place, complainant called and advised male subject was on location with an active child support warrant. The warrant was valid and residence checked with negative contact with subject.
- Dispute, North Broad St., J & B Food Mart. Customer on location upset because store clerk wouldn’t give her $150 worth of store credit. Customer also wanted to advise store was selling cigarettes by the singles.
- 911 Hang-up, Old Mill Point, Dispatch advised they could hear a male subject yelling in the background. Contact made with female subject advised she got into an argument with some juveniles who were cutting through her yard. Subject’s gone upon officer’s arrival.
- Theft, Green St. in reference to a tablet belonging to complainant stolen and sold by her brother and another male subject. Complainant later located the tablet and declined prosecution.
- Theft, Lakeview Dr., complainant suspects her cousin stole her Percocet’s last date.
- Physical Altercation, Green St., in reference to Stephen Neil and another male subject fighting. Stephen arrested for disorderly conduct
- Animal Complaint, West Vine St., Complainants dog was attacked by neighbor’s dog, which was okay. Complainant advised he would contact Walton County Animal Control next date.
- Suspicious Person on Charlotte Rowell at Highway 138. 81-year-old female standing in roadway requesting a ride to her house on Highway 11. Female stated she exited the vehicle at the red light after getting into an argument with her daughter over family issues.
- Trespassing, East Marable St., Caller advised several white male subjects are at the lake. Subject’s gone upon officer’s arrival.
- Burglary on Maple Lane, complainant returned home and located “Sap” in the home attempting to steal two (2) pair of Jordan shoes. The subject fled on foot. Complainant advised she knew the male but couldn’t think of his name at the moment, but they believes its Anthony Millsap. There was forced entry to the front door. The subject fled into woods when noticed officer’s in the area. Officer’s swarmed the area and searched the woods and eventually locating Anthony Millsap hiding in an underground cave-like-tunnel. Subject arrested and charged with Burglary and Obstruction.
- Domestic problem, Nelson St., Complainant wanted items from the house he was living in, believes some of his property was taken, report made.
- Juvenile Complaint, Towler St., mother advised her daughter was unruly and combative, complaint filed and 16-year-old given an escort to Jack’s Creek Rd.
- Follow-up on domestic call, E. Washington St., Threatening text message received, wanted to add it to previous report.
- Domestic problem, Poplar St., Civil issue between custody of the child, child went with the mother with no issues.
- Burglary, Chestnut Cupboard E. Church St., two black males broke the front window stole various cigar wraps, subjects wore gloves and had hoodies on in the video footage. Area checked for the subjects. Report made.
- Domestic problem, Tall Oaks West; son having issues with his mother who was intoxicated, given a escort to Davis Street.
- Theft by Taking, Clearview Medical; male patient stole a bunch of medication from the crash cart, was discharged and left. Report taken.
- Officer called to Wellington Ln., reference to wife not taking juvenile to school. Father and mother disputing over child custody. Advised to contact attorney for resolution through the courts.
- Domestic Problem, W. Spring St., reference to female being held against her will. Both parties were gone prior to arrival.
- Shoplifting, Rite Aid, W. Spring St. White male took a 19in HD TV. Subject left in a white hatchback with a temporary tag.
- DTP, Jack Peters. Grocery, complainant advised his 2014 Honda was damage sometime yesterday.
- Animal call, Windsor Dr., subject transported by EMS to Clearview. K9 was taken by animal control. Owner cited by Animal Control.
- Dispute, Jays Beauty Supply, reference to return policy over weaves. Female customer barred from location.
- Theft report, N. Broad St., owner reported that a white female in a red passenger car came on 10/27/16 and 10/30/16 and took 2 trash cans and 2 buckets of change.
- Damage To Propety, Monroe PD lobby, reference to a neighbor backing into her vehicle on 10/2/16.
- Suspicious vehicle, Monroe Utilities on E. Marable St. Vehicle blocking gate. Vehicle removed by owner.
- Domestic problem, Matson Food Mart. Custody dispute. Parties separated.
- Suspicious vehicle, Hwy 78 and Mt. Vernon Rd. Elderly female driving Westbound in the Eastbound lane. Area checked with negative contact.
- Burglary report taken at Monroe PD lobby, complainant advised that she had been in Florida for the past 10 months. When she returned she found damage from flooding in her home. She advised that she cuts all water off and leaves the lights on outside and two lights on inside. All lights were off and the home was filled with mold. A cigarette was found at the top of the stairs. No one else has access to the residence.
- Theft report, Cook Place, complainant advised that a name male subject took her debit card and took $300 off the card. Complainant has allowed use of the card by male subject in the past. Bank requested a report. Male subject nick name given is possibly a male subject from Winder.
- Dispute, Rose Ison Terrace, Kimberly Sims needed officers to stand by while she removed property. All ok.
