Monroe PD Reports: Alleged infidelity results in stabbing

Monroe PD responded to the following calls between  Oct. 28 – Nov. 3, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the final post for this period. Please note an arrest or a charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Fraud Case, Amicis, Manager reported that someone from an 800 number claimed to be Monroe Utilities requesting money to keep from disconnecting the power service.  Report made.
  • Suspicious person, East Church St., Jack Peters grocery, B/M wearing light brown jacket harassing customers outside. Subject gone when officers arrived, found on Harris Street advised not to return to Jack Peters.
  • Suspicious vehicle, South Madison and Stokes St., White Yukon with busted window driving around harassing people. Area checked with negative contact with vehicle
  • Fraud, North Broad, Deer Acres Inn, complainant suspected someone may have taken her identity, Facebook scam that was requesting her password, she did not trust it and her identity was not stolen, declined report
  • Suspicious person, West Spring St., male subject on location talking to himself.  Was told to move to another location. All ok.
  • Domestic Dispute, Meadow Court, Rex Boynton arrested for two counts each -Agg. Assault , Battery, Cruelty to children, plus Obstruction, and Theft by taking.  Dispute with baby’s mother.  Rex Boynton fled on foot and was caught by officer.
  • Officer’s called to South Madison Ave., Complainant wanted to ask a question about the battery in his ankle monitor. Strong language barrier.
  • Firearms discharged, Davis St., officer patrolled area with negative contact.
  • Loud music, Green St., Vehicles in the area with loud music.  Patrolled area negative contact.
  • Warrant Service, Radford St., Vontarious Cook arrested for WCSO warrant.
  • Burglary, Sorrells St., complainant reported that someone came in his unlocked residence and stole his PlayStation 4. No forced entry.
  • Disturbing the peace, Glenwood Ave., female subjects playing music from their car and dancing, advised to stop, subjects complied.
  • Theft report, South Madison Ave., complainant stated he was robbed at an unknown address on Mobley Circle on 10/30/2016 by named female subject, and two unknown male subjects. Report taken
  • Suspicious person, West Spring St., male subject walking around inside Elite Storage.  Subject ran Prior to arrival.  Negative contact after area check.
  • Damage to property, Sorrells St., subject was caught by a friend cheating on his boyfriend.  Friend tried to come into house, and subject slammed the door shut which resulted in the glass breaking. Report taken.
  • Stabbing, Sorrells St., subject from above stabbed in the chin, and chest by boyfriend after being confronted about infidelity. Subject from above was transported to Clearview. Warrants will be taken for boyfriend.
  • Suspicious Person, Mayfield Dr., Georgia Sand and Stone. Caller advised a black male walking in the area looking at equipment. Caller was third party. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Burglary, Cherry Hill Rd. Walton Logistics. Unknown subjects, possibly named subject, entered through propped open back door and stole two (2) laptops from warehouse. This location has been hit several times in the past.
  • Domestic, Clubside Dr., Mary Hart called from Covington wanting a check on her residence due to her ex-husband coming to her house while she’s at work. Residence checked with negative contact with anyone on location.
  • Theft, West Spring St., Murphy’s Gas Station. Complainant advised of a theft which occurred on 10/19 at the gas station and provided a name of the suspect and video surveillance. The subject was identified. DVD placed into evidence.
  • Armed Subject, G.W. Carver Dr., complainant advised male subject pointed a gun at him after an argument. Contact was made with male subject at MPD when he came to tell his recollection of the incident. He stated complainant tried to jump on him at Susie’s Wings, but male subject was able to drive away before a physical altercation started and a gun was never involved.
  • Dispute on Towler Street near Camptown Gardens. Caller advised a black male and female disputing near the trash cans. Subject’s GOA upon officer arrival. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Burglary Suspect Detained on Turner Street. Anthony Bolden identified by officer as a suspect in a burglary case. Subject escorted to MPD and later arrested and charged with burglary.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Highway 138 at Checkers. Complainant advised a red passenger vehicle followed her from I-20 to Monroe, so she stopped and dialed 9-1-1. Vehicle was gone when police arrived
  • Welfare Check at North Broad Street. Family hasn’t heard from subject in three (3) weeks and was worried about him. Made contact with landlord who advised he moved to Henry County.
  • Welfare Check at Douglas Street. Caller advised they haven’t heard from female subject since May 2016. The residence was checked and vacant. Unknown where she move to.
  • Civil Issue at Nowell Street. Complainant advised the apartment has been abandoned by the previous tenant and the items were left behind. Advised of the civil process.
  • Large fight in the area of GW Carver Dr. crowed ran upon officer arrival, all ok.
  • Subject with knife, West Marable St., Ref to subjects fighting in roadway. Complainant was chased onto his car and broke the windshield because of male subject’s loose dogs. Complainant threatened to shoot male subject, Male subject brandished a knife, incident documented
  • Suspicious vehicle, West Spring St., Shane’s Rib Shack, ref to dark in color ford explorer parked in two parking spaces. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of Alcovy St. towards Broad, white Grand-AM FTML. Stopped vehicle at Spring and Broad, driver checked ok.
  • Juvenile complaint, Tigers Way, Ref to 15 year old daughter not returning home from school. Father advised he knew his daughter was at a house on Gene Bell Rd. Advised to meet WCSO at Carver Middle School.
  • Request officer to come to Golden Pawn, Ref to earlier juvenile complaint. Checked South Broad St. and located juvenile on Atha St. Juvenile given escort to grandmother’s house on Spring Place.
  • Theft report, Ridge Rd. Items taken during house party, no serial numbers at time of report.
  • Loud music complaint, Walker Dr., residence turned music down, all ok.
  • Accident/Unknown, West Spring St., Ihop. Overturned vehicle on west spring ramp to 78. Vehicle was not overturned, no injuries. Mr. Howard Cowart arrested for DUI drugs, refusal. Passenger had warrants out of City of Monroe, however, dispatch advised warrants were negative until he was sent on his way from the scene of the accident and re advised by 911 of the valid warrants some 10-15 min later. Area checked with negative contact of passenger.
  • Domestic problem, West Marable St. Ref to male subject being off his meds and breaking windows in the house. Male subject transported to Clearview for mental eval.
  • Suspicious person, Creekview Dr., Comp advised that he heard someone outside his window, located deer in back yard of neighbor’s house
  • Suspicious vehicle, Highway 11 South and L&P Parkway ref to White SUV with no lights using a flashlight for a headlight. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Magnolia Terrace, complainant advised her seven-year-old (7) cousin she’s babysitting was being disrespectful. Spoke to the child. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, 4th St., White female walking around in the area possibly on drugs. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Burglary, Vine St., The Lighthouse at Conestoga. Complainant advised they observed the light come on and off to the church trailer. All doors and windows appeared secure. Church checked upon pastor’s arrival with negative contact with anyone inside.
  • Meet with Subject on West Spring Street at Clearview. Contact made with homeless female who advised she need a ride to Sunshine Laundry. Subject advised the business wasn’t a hang-out location.
  • Fraud, Bold Springs Rd., Ricky’s Pizza. Complainant advised someone attempted to use his debit card information online and purchase two (2) iPhone 6s from AT&T, totaling $1,099.98. The transaction was declined due to wrong expiration date.
  • Harassment, West Spring St., Clearview Regional Medical Center. Male subject approached two female juveniles while visiting a family and asked them to go clubbing with him and asked for a threesome. Lack of evidence for criminal act.
  • Theft, West Spring St., Home depot. Employee caught stealing money from register. Desta Mill arrested and charged with Theft by Deception.
  • Suspicious Person in the area of Stone Creek subdivision. Received information in reference to two (2) white males walking around in the area acting suspicious. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Domestic, Stowers Dr., complainant advised her estranged husband came to bring her food stamp card and has a condition of bond to stay away from her. No physical altercation occurred.
  • Criminal Trespass, West Spring St., Huddle House, Harold Swords on location harassing staff. Swords previously banned from location. Subject arrested for criminal trespass.
  • Damage to Property, Chestnut Lane, complainant reported someone poured candy into her gas tank and she suspects her ex-boyfriend and there were no witnesses.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, Lost prevention has subject in office. Joshua Slaton arrested for stealing $155 worth of merchandise
  • Hit & Run, East Spring St., F.I.S.H… male subject was struck by a camper in the parking lot, no injuries. Scene turned over to Georgia State Patrol.
  • Theft, South Broad St., mother advised her son bicycle was stolen but did not know the make or model. Report declined and requested patrol of neighborhood for bicycle.
  • Warrant Service, Alcovy St., Georgia Probation Management in reference to Le’Frederick Jones on location with a valid warrant. Subject arrested and taken to Walton County Jail
  • Harassment, Green St., complainant advised name subject has been driving by her house trying to pick at her and almost rear-ended her vehicle. Requested a documentation of incident.
  • Theft, South Broad St., complainant advised his Glock handgun was taken for his vehicle between home and Watkinsville.
  • Welfare Check @ Jay’s Beauty Supply; Two juveniles in the vehicle unattended.  Kids check out ok.
  • Civil Issue, N. Madison Ave., Comp advised needing information on obtaining personal property from her old residence. All ok.
  • Fight, Baron Drive and Custom Way; Large group of subjects in a fight.  Female subject spit on another subject then threw a rock, no party wanted to cooperate or explain, report taken.
  • Warrant Service, Food Mart at N. Broad St; Stacey Fambrough arrested for WCSO warrant.
  • Accident, Pedestrian hit on E. Spring Street near Auto Zone; 60 year old was struck by a vehicle after crossing the roadway and was deceased from injuries, GSP was called and worked the accident.  No charges filed against the driver as of yet.
  • Firearms Discharged, Gatewood Way, Comp heard 2 gunshots from the front of subdivision, negative contact.
  • Threats, Dollar Tree, W. Spring St., Unknown person left a sign saying the Clowns are coming For You, Officers stayed on property until closed up safely.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Towler St., mother advised that her daughter refused to come home from a friend’s house, report made.
  • Domestic problem, Ridge Rd, residents in a verbal argument, being loud, advised to separate if they could not control themselves, all ok.
  • Stolen Vehicle, Sorrells St., Complainant advised that his wife stole his blue Crown Victoria,  she returned the vehicle prior to arrival, explained marital property cannot be reported “stolen”
  • Alarm call, Chestnut Cupboard; Negative on entry made, item fell off shelf and set off glass break, Area checked,  found suspicious occupied vehicle at Smith Plaza.  Driver was requested to search his vehicle, found gloves, large bolt cutters, and stolen laptop from Winder and he was arrested for Theft by receiving, passenger arrested for giving false name and dob.  Vehicle towed and hold placed by Barrow County.
