Monroe PD Reports: Drunk complainant upset her boyfriend was drunk

Monroe PD responded to the following calls between  Nov. 23 – Dec. 1, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the second post for this period. Please note an arrest and charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Traffic Stop on Highway 78. Kearra Tynia Jones out of Stone Mountain, Georgia, was stopped for speeding. The traffic stop investigation lead to her arrest for speeding, possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce, child restraint, providing false name and DOB, Forgery and driving while unlicensed.
  • Follow-Up on East Highland Ave., complainant at Allen’s Retails Cars requested a copy of a month-old crash report. He was advised to contact MPD during regular business hours for copy of report.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Carver Place. Juveniles in the wood smoking cigarettes. Caller worried they will start a FIRE. Area checked with negative contact.
  • 9-1-1 Hang Up on Michael Etchison Road. Dispatch advised of an EMS assist upon calling the phone number back. Checked on residence and turned over to Walton County EMS.
  • Suspicious Person, North Broad St., Road Rage incident which started on Highway 78 and ended at the Valero. Off duty deputy and other driver involved in an argument over driving behaviors. Situation mediated.
  • Area Check on Highway 78 near Highway 11. Caller advised a large piece of plastic was in the roadway. Item located and removed.
  • Damage to Property on West Spring St. – Home Depot, complainant advised a Home Depot shopping cart struck his truck, causing a dent.
  • Speeding Vehicle on Highway 138 near city limits. White Jeep reckless. Vehicle pulled over on North Broad Street. All ok.
  • Theft on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tractor Supply, unknown black female entered the store, applied for credit, and left with $3,359.95 in merchandise.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Taco Bell, Ref to an older model grey truck swerving all over the road. Searched the area with no contact.
  • Harassment, Big Lots, Couple receiving threatening messages from named subject. Report taken and advised of the TPO process.
  • Stolen vehicle, E. Marable St., Motorcycle from accident earlier was stolen from a party and wrecked in the county.
  • Firearms discharged on Nowell St., Resident advised someone shot 3 BB’s hitting their front window causing damage (3 holes). Resident advised that 4-5 black males (unknown clothing) were walking down the street at the time. Searched the area for anyone walking and had no contact.
  • Found property, Sorrell’s St/N. Broad St., Subject located a phone at Walmart and wanted to turn it in. Phone placed in evidence.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on North Broad St., anonymous caller advised a subject driving a white Ford Explorer did not have a valid driver’s license and was en-route to 322 Turner Street. Vehicle located parked on Turner Street
  • Damage to Property, Magnolia Terrace in reference to someone damaged complainant’s Christmas decorations in her yard.
  • Damage to Property, Bryant Rd., and complainant advised the roofing company contracted by the Monroe Housing Authority broke her portable patio chimney. Requested documentation report.
  • Suspicious Person in the area of Greenwood Dr., The caller advised a white male dressed in camouflage was chasing a dog, throwing rocks at it. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Animal Complaint at Parkway Place in reference to a dog running loose. Contact made with dog owner and advised to keep his dog on a leash.
  • Meet in Person on Ford St., complainant wanted an officer to tow a trailer off her property that her dad placed there. Subject advised of civil process.
  • Warrant Service on South Broad St., Trading Place and Pawn. Uylesis Brown arrested on active simple battery warrant out of Walton County. Supplemental narrative to original case report.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Alcovy St., Unknown caller advised a gold Ford Focus was traveling on Alcovy Street towards South Broad Street, possibly transporting drugs inside the vehicle. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Harassment on North Broad St., Golden Pantry, and complainant advised her child’s father sent her a text message advising he was going to send his girl to the store. Complainant advised of remedies.
  • Suspicious Person, East Spring St., Chestnut Cupboard. Unknown caller advised she was a customer and a black male wearing a hat was making her feel unsafe. The subject appeared to be drinking an alcoholic beverage. Area checked with negative contact. Also spoke with store clerk who was unfamiliar with situation.
  • Damage to Property on Highway 138 near Chick-Fil-A. Driver advised something flew through the right side of the road and shattered the window.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, G.W. Carver Dr., red passenger vehicle speeding in the area with possible illegal drugs inside the vehicle. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious person, Walmart, complainant was dropped off at Walmart at 0800hrs by her nephew and she did not know how to get in touch with him. Transported complainant and the items she purchased back to Roscoe Davis Rd.
  • Domestic, Cook St., complainant was upset because her boyfriend was drunk. She was drunk also. Boyfriend was gone and complainant was transported to Golden Pantry to wait for a ride.
  • Firearms discharged, Kendall Ct., Complainant advised she heard multiple shots. Searched the area with no shots heard.
  • Domestic, S. Broad St., complainant and her boyfriend were arguing over living arrangements. Advised complainant of the eviction process.
  • Juvenile complaint, Nowell St., Ref to juveniles shooting BB’s at her residence. No damage.
  • Domestic, S. Broad St., complainant and boyfriend still arguing about living arrangements. Explained the eviction process again. Boyfriend advised that he gives complainant food stamps in exchange for residency.
  • 911 Hang-up, W. Creek Cir., complainant advised that it sounded like someone was shooting a cannon. Subjects were shooting fireworks down the street.
  • Traffic violation, N. Broad St/Nowell St., Vehicle almost struck officer’s vehicle. Female driver was cited for driving without a license and failure to yield. Montaz Burse was arrested for possession of marijuana <oz. Third passenger drove the vehicle from the scene.
  • Domestic, Baron Dr., complainant, advised that he was disputing with his wife. Made contact with the wife who stated that complainant left the residence before we arrived. Everything appeared okay. No contact with complainant.
