Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Oct. 23 – 29, 2015. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the second part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- Stolen Vehicle call on Pine Park, complainants white Chevy Blazer stolen. Vehicle located, friend of complainant had vehicle and report declined, all ok.
- Welfare check on Bridgeport Ln., 2-year-old child outside crying in front of residence. Contact made, child ok and returned to guardian at residence.
- Unknown call on Bryant Road, friends of resident on location to check on her but could not get answer. Housing notified and opened residence. Resident found on bedroom floor lying face down, alert but unable to move. EMS on scene, got resident on stretcher and transported to Clearview. Possible additional injuries from fall.
- Dispute call on Pine Park. All ok, complainant upset due to his vehicle not being returned from earlier call.
- Shoplifting call on MLK Blvd. (Tractor Supply) Cashier stated a B/M 30-40 yoa came into store and stole several tools and a camo hoodie w/ estimated value of $70.00 and then left in late model silver Chevy Impala driven by B/F. unknown tag on vehicle.
- Dispute call on W. Spring St. (Dollar Tree) customer at store earlier and paid $20.00 bill and received $10.00 as part of her change. The $10.00 was counterfeit. Store manager provided customer with authentic $10.00 and counterfeit bill was placed in evidence.
- Medical condition on Atha St., 14-year-old female, took excessive unknown amount of Prozac, antacids, and nausea medicine. EMS transported to Clearview
- Officer’s called to W. Spring St. (AT&T) complainant requesting to meet with officer due to losing iPhone and staff have located it using software. iPhone located on Shamrock Drive and returned to owner, no report requested.
- Intoxicated person call on N. Broad St. Contact made w/ male subject who was intoxicated. Mother came and picked him up, all ok.
- Burglary call on Tanglewood Dr., complainant stated residence entered through side window and Sanyo 32” flat screen, blue Nintendo DS, and 7” tablet. Report taken.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle with Georgia State Patrol, William Randolph who has warrants for Failure To Appear out of city. Officer out with GSP and took Randolph into custody and transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
- Domestic problem call on S. Broad St., son and mother arguing. Situation mediated.
- Trespassing call on 4th St., made contact with home-owner who rents home to step-daughter, home owner was unaware step-daughter was back home, negative on trespassing.
- Discharging Firearms call on Walton Rd., Report of 2 gunshots in area, area checked, no evidence of gun shots fired.
- Juvenile Complaint on Cloverdale, Report that a group of juveniles were picking on complainant’s son, juveniles gone prior to offices arrival.
- Suspicious person call on W. Spring St., Report of white male possibly intoxicated, area checked with no contact.
- Domestic problem/violent call on Walker Dr., caller reported a violent dispute between male and female subjects. Negative on violence, verbal dispute, parties separated.
- Domestic problem call on Walton Rd., Dispute between mother and daughter, situation mediated.
- Damage to Property call on Glen Iris, complainant reported her mother possibly threw something at her car, all ok.
- 911 hang up call on Country Club Dr., All ok, juveniles on line.
- Loud Music call on Towler St., All ok, music turned down.
- Misc call at Elite Storage; Complainant advised he needed his property back, went to Douglas St and retrieved property from male subject, all ok.
- Juvenile Runaway call on Pine Park St., female juvenile left residence out past curfew without consent, still on GCIC from previous report.
- Suspicious Person call on N. Broad St; group of subjects waiting around after hours, subject gone prior to officer’s arrival.
- Dispute call at Golden Pantry; STR Recovery agent in dispute over repossessed car with subject. Subject was gone prior to officer’s arrival.
- Entering Auto call on Wheel house Lane, complainant had a 2007 Pontiac Gran-Prix entered. The vehicle was locked when he left it and was locked again when he notice it was entered. His wallet along with two bank cards, driver’s license and social security card was taken.
- Dispute call on Sorrell St., male and female subject’s arguing over utility bill, along with property. Washer and dryer. Situation mediated advised of remedies. All ok.
- Theft report call on W. Spring St. “Sims Gas for Less”, customer left a cell phone on the counter and another customer picked it up. The customer returned the phone while officer was on location. All ok.
- Hit and run call on Wayne St., vehicle gone, Black Grand-am, last registered on Sporty Lane. Occurred on S. Broad in turning lane. Vehicle one bumped vehicle two at the light. Minor damage to rear bumper of vehicle two. Black male driver with white female passenger advised complainant they were going to pull over and then left the area. No contact with second vehicle. Report taken, vehicle involved stopped on S. Madison Ave. Vehicle owner at Clearview. Follow up to be conducted by officer at Clearview Medical.
