MPD Reports: Party shut down after reports of gun shots

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Oct. 30 – Nov. 5, 2015. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the second part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction. 

October 31, 2015

0030 115 Cook Place Domestic dispute. William Jeff hit Helen Reed in the head with a chair during a dispute Jeff  was arrested for Agg. Assault. During the dispute Derrick Jones dropped his pistol on the ground causing it to discharge. Jones arrested for Reckless conduct. Joanne Jeff was arrested and interfering with above investigation and was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

0408 loud noise complaint 723b Lacy St. No loud noise heard once on scene.

0508 1025 2151 West Spring St.  Jonathan Hanseldon has mental health issues and believes his girlfriend is cheating on him, subject is 1096 resides at 501 Pine Park St apt H and believes people are trying to kill him.

0445 Domestic dispute at 416a Plaza Dr. Shanee Odum and Desjon Giles were involved in a domestic dispute. Warrants to be taken on Giles for family violence battery and criminal trespass.

0535 Follow up 506 Ash Ln.  Claudette Lewis woke up to find her stolen TV on her back porch, TV placed into evidence for further review.

0616: Person with mental health issues, 203 E. Spring St. Valero, subject (Jonathan Hanseldon) dropped off at Valero, Clerk felt unsafe with subject in the store. Hanseldon transported to Clearview for 10/13 evaluation.

0849: Juvenile complaint, 201 W. Spring St. “Nowell Community Center”, Walton County Sheriff Deputy Briscoe advised he and Mr. Jason Mitchell were on location for community service and three juveniles arrived and were threatening Mr. Mitchell after being told to leave. Juveniles GOA. Report to be completed at the requested of Mike Baldwin. Contact made with subjects on Harris Street. Identified as Kentavius Brown D.O.B. 03-13-1999, Adajee Hubbard 06-24-2000, and Curdarious Hubbard 10-10-2000. Field interviews were entered for each subject listed above.

1002: Suspicious Person, 2160 W. Spring St. “United Community Bank” the complainant advised there was a subject in the parking lot in his vehicle who is a customer but they have had problems in the past with him. Contact made with subject all ok. Subject was checking his account online before going to drive-thru.

1002: Harassment complaint, 125 GW Carver Dr. Apt. # 8, Jasmine Sims advised she was threatened by Franchesca Sorrells. 368 viewed the video of Ms. Sorrells telling Ms. Sims she would “F” her up. When questioned about it Ms. Sorrells lied to Officer. Sorrells 10/95 for D.O.C.

1116: Firearm Discharge in the area of the Airport. Turkey shoot happening today and County Range discharging rounds all 10/4.

1120: Civil Issue, 838-B Storehouse Court, Trista Butts and Ricky Vinson verbally disputing. On-going issue advised of remedies again. Vinson was issued citation for D.O.C. and parties were separated.  There are no utilities on at this address.

1133: Theft report, 702 Kings Ridge Dr. the complainant Mr. Barrett advised a Echo backpack blower was taken from under his residence. Valued at $240.00.  Possible suspect identified as someone who was last using the blower and working for the complainant.

1144: Suspicious Person, E. Washington St. “Wells Fargo Bank”, the complainant advised juveniles were left in a vehicle unattended.  Juveniles were 10/4 contact was made with the juveniles who were two 10-year-olds and a 3-year old. They were 10/4.

1212: 911-Hangup, 124 South View Dr. negative contact with anyone on the property.

1218: Harassing phone calls, 223 Colquitt St. Shambrreka Brooks advised she didn’t want Jessica Meadows to call her while baby daddy was there. Advised of remedies.

1350: Suspicious Person, Post Office, black female with camo pants attempting to sell lottery tickets.  Contact made with Priscilla Bagby on Bell St.  Picking up old lottery tickets. All 10/4 not trying to sell them.

1516: Dispute, 305 Tall Oaks Dr. Lakenda Sorrells, advised she was being harassed on face book and in person. Verbal dispute parties separated prior to officer’s arrival. Advised of remedies.

1821 215 North Broad St welfare check. Subject riding a bike with a small child. GOA

1836 Threats 1238 S. Madison Vanessa Guy reported a subject threatened to kill her 18 year old son, Noah Guy.  Warrants issued for terroristic threats

1910 Monroe PD harassment. Marilyn Brown wanted to know what she could do about someone listening to her conversations with listening devices. She did not know who it was. She also advised she is a mental health patient. She was advised to seek mental assistance.

1911 EMS Assist 206 Walker Dr Leah Puckett having seizures and being combative TOT EMS

1930 Child custody dispute 845a Storehouse Ct Anita Mason said her baby’s father would not return her son. Spoke to Antonio Hillman who is not legitimized and does not have court paperwork. (juvenile) returned to mother. Advised both of other remedies for custody.

1954 loud music 211 Sorrells St music was turned down.

2000 Suspicious vehicle North Broad St. gold vehicle failing to maintain lane. 10-74 contact

2015 dispute Katy’s diner customer complaining over food and refused to pay. owner said customer ate all his food then complained and wanted it free. Owner gave 10% off. Customer paid

2042 Traffic stop/arrest Lacy St Scottie Davis Dui, Open Container, Improper Parking, Disorderly Conduct, Driving W/O Valid License

2112 Burglary 230 Carwood Dr Rosa Reed reporting a break in and theft of a wii, Childs you bike and $700

2259 unknown Camptown. Complainant advised male laying in parking lot possibly hit with baseball bat. 3-4 subjects stuffed injured man in white Cadillac and left. Contact made with vehicle nobody in trunk everything appeared 10-4. False call.

2300 Loud Music Rosewood Lane,  large party 819 Rosewood Ln, advised to keep music down

2339 Burglary 141 Bolton St. Checked and the residence. No signs of a burglary.

2344 Discharging Firearms 1314 Meadow Walk Dr 4-5 shots in area. Made contact with large party on Rosewood causing road hazard due to cars parking in road. Party shut down
