Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Oct. 30 – Nov. 5, 2015. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the fourth part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Nov. 2
0354 Missing person from Bridge Port Place. Resident reported that her 83-year-old schizophrenic grandmother walked out of the house. She was located wondering the neighborhood by family members. She advised she will call her doctor first thing in the morning or take her to Clearview Regional Medical Center.
0425 Warrants 17 North Broad St. Subject was arrested for Failure to Appear out of Monroe PD.
0556 Suspicious person at Pine Park Street. Complainant advised that while on Lacy St. at bus stop, a black man in a new model gray vehicle asked her some questions, got out of his vehicle and told her to come to him. Williams stated she ran away and B/M left the area.
0757 Domestic 84 YOA female schizophrenic patient who was reportedly off medication being violent towards family. All 10-4, she refused medical treatment.
0805 Possible burglary on Fambrough Street, Resident was on porch and saw two white men and two white females go into vacant building next door. Building was cleared, negative contact. Found several unsecured doors, unable to re-secure.
1000 Child abuse report on Alcovy Street reference to 3-year-old w/ black eye. Contact made with father who stated his wife hit his daughter on Friday. Incident occurred in Barrow Co. Barrow county advised by phone of incident, advised to come to Barrow Co. to file report.
1015 Trespassing on S. Broad St. in regards to three subjects sitting on complainant’s porch. Subjects GOA.
1045 fight on Page Street at Davis Street. Two people were wrestling in mud due to one suspecting the other of burglarizing his house on the previous date. All 10-4
1059 suspicious vehicle on Davis Street at S. Broad Street Small white SUV ran red lights and stop signs. 10-74 contact.
1230 Theft at MPD Lobby. Complainant stated on 10-08-15, she received a money order through the post office and it was stolen and cashed by a known person. Report taken. 1203
12:40 Complaint from 226 Alcovy St. Suite D, regarding person applying for help making staff uncomfortable.
1250 Dispute at a location on Irving Street regarding person who would not leave. He was gone when police arrived.
1328 Bomb threat in area of Launius Ave. and Perry St., anonymous caller advised a “Mimi Brown” was in area with a bomb. Caller could not give car info, clothing description, or real name. 10-66 area w/ 10-74 contact.
1332 Suspicious person at 424 E. Spring St. (FISH) B/F on location causing disturbance over price of item. B/F GOA prior to arrival, advised to call back if she returns.
1338 Suspicious person on N. Madison Ave. at the market. Person in wheelchair and lost trying to find Sycamore Square Apartments. Directions given, she declined a ride from police.
1422 911-haugup from Hwy 138 (Great Oaks) Resident was having leg pain, turned over to EMS.
1422 Fraud report at MPD lobby. Victim advised his ex-boss gave him a past dated check.
He was advised of remedies.
1512 Theft report from Colley St., Victim reported the theft of 1-2 hydrocodone. Report declined.
1614 Dispute at Hubbard St., Two people were disputing. One was gone when police got there and located at Hammond Park. He was picked up on a FTA warrant out of MPD.
1700 10-16 at Advance Auto on W. Spring St. Male and female got out of a vehicle arguing with the driver. Vehicle drove off and male and female took off walking. All 10-4, male and female located and stated they were waiting on a ride.
1739 Threats @ 1245 Hwy 11 N (Waffle House). Complainant stated she is getting threatening messages from mother. Complainant is 17 YOA and mother is threatening to kick her out. She was advised of civil process.
1839 domestic at a location on Walton Rd; Mother and daughter disputing, parties separated, report per request.
1943 Theft Report on Baron Drive – Complainant reported Ipad Air taken off of couch, no forced entry, door left unlocked, report made.
2004 suspicious Person @ 820 Duke Street; Complainant advised a female was in the area looking for her Captial One Card, 10-74 contact.
2155 Traffic stop/arrest on S. Madison Ave at Post Office; Sheriff’s Office employee arrested for Driving on Suspended license leaving work, suspended for serious violations under 21.
2252 domestic on Chestnut Lane; Subject on location disturbing the complainant, subject left on GOA.
Nov. 3, 2015
0626: suspicious person at Chevron on S. Broad St. Reference to an elderly female, who appeared to be disoriented driving SUV bearing GA tag PPG 8958. Officers made contact with person, who reportedly has dementia, on Alcovy Street. She was turned over to her daughter.
0805: suspicious vehicle @ 301 E. Church St. Reference to a red SUV that struck a tree and left the scene. 10-74 contact.
1000: suspicious Vehicle @ W. Spring St. near Taco Bell. All 10-4, owner had help on the way.
1043: Dispute on Knight St. – One person was arrested for a Gwinnett County warrant after police were called to the location regarding a dispute between three people over living arrangements.
1313: Follow-up on Knight St. The complainant advised Garantz one person was back on location and that he had just left in a red truck.
1333: Burglary on Mill Stone Bluff. Complainant advised that his roommate’s television was taken. He was not sure of a date or the brand of television. He was advised to have the victim file a report.
1431: Warrant Knight St. Subject was arrested for a Gwinnett County warrant.
1515: Domestic on S. Broad St. Two people in a verbal dispute over one of them doing drugs. He was gone when police arrived.
1528: Suspicious person @ Waffle House on N. Broad St. Reference to subjects sitting on the curb acting suspicious. They were GOA.
1426: Arrest @ Barrow County Jail. A woman was arrested for a MPD FTA warrant.
1618: Child Molestation @ MPD. Report taken. CID notified.
1650: Damage to Property @ Chestnut Lane. Reference to an unknown juvenile shooting a school bus window with a BB gun. CID notified.
1720: Suspicious vehicle @ Hwy 78E. The complainant advised an unknown subject in a gray Toyota 4-runner threw a bottle at their vehicle. 10-74 contact.
1830 Juvenile Complaint on Chestnut Lane; Brother and sister on location arguing. Sister advised her brother shot her in the leg with an airsoft gun. Brother GOA.
1942 Juvenile Complaint at Pine Park Apartments on Lacy Street; juveniles in area shooting a bb gun, negative contact with an honest person standing around who would say they were shooting a bb gun at Lacy St.
1955 Burglary Knight St Complainant advised subject pried open the back door and entered the residence but left, nothing report missing. Report taken.
2215 Suspicious Vehicle at Gatewood Drive; Complainant advised a tan car just parked at the the stop sign, vehicle was goa.
2314 Domestic at Chestnut Lane; Complainant advised that they were in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend and her daughter, civil issue, complainant advised of remedies.
2339 Suspicious Person at First Baptist Holiness Church S. Broad St; Complainant observed subjects walking in the parking lot, he and his wife were arguing, checked 10-4 sent home.
