MPD Reports: Car hit with bullets, Vehicle windows shot with BB guns

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Oct. 30 – Nov. 5, 2015. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the final part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction. 

Nov. 4

0841: 911-hangup, King Street. contact made with resident all 10/4 juvenile on phone.

0913: Damage to Property, 301 E. Church St. damage to tree occurred last date on S. Madison Ave. leading into the parking lot behind 301 E. Church St. Complainant had questions about incident. All 10/4. Subject that ran over the tree is a white male, driving a red dodge or jeep liberty with damage to the front bumper.

1001: Shoplifting, 772 W. Spring St. “Family Dollar”, A suspect was located on Plaza drive matching the description given. Wrong person. Black male took $35.00 worth of clothes and left the store. Report taken.

1049: Hit & run Wal-Mart, 2050 W. Spring St. burgundy mini-van possibly a Chrysler left the area, complainant in row 5 driving a black Kia Soul. Complainant advised a white female with blonde hair struck his vehicle while on 138 headed north. Vehicle was followed to WalMart parking lot and after a brief meeting the female took off on W. Spring to 78.

1134: Suspicious Vehicle, Marable at powerlines, vehicle a red mustang possible broke down with no driver. Vehicle in roadway. Towed by next list “Jays”.

1244: Lost Item report, 2120 W. Spring St. “Dollar Tree” complainant advised they left their cell phone.  Phone was returned and complainant declined report.  All 10/4

1301: Theft report, Broad Street. Complainant  advised he  was missing approximately 50 rolls of US coins along with some other coins, valued at approximately $5500.00. Suspects named.

1311: Welfare Check, Great Oaks Dr, Elderly white male very lethargic, traffic stop with subject on Vine St. Subject arrested for DUI drugs, failure to maintain lane and impeding the flow of traffic.

1541: Arrest on G.W. Carver Drive. Subject was driving a black BMW and turned onto GW Carver driver where he parked the vehicle and began to walk down the street.  Officer caught up with him and arrested him while he was walking. The vehicle remained parked on private property on Carver Drive. Resident said did get out of the vehicle after parking it on his property. Resident came up with a warrant through Pardons and Parole. It was checked through dispatch and could not be confirmed. He was advised to contact Pardons’ and Parole.

1643: Fire arms discharge on Church St. Negative contact after area was checked. All 10/4 

1651: Dispute, Knight Street, Two people arguing over a bike. One threw the other’s cell phone and it broke. Report taken.

1658: Suspicious person’s vehicle’s X2, Old Mill Run, Subjects citied for marijuana less than an ounce and released on copy.

1736: Dispute Tanglewood Dr. Two people arguing over $20.00. One had gone to his residence when police arrived.

1933 Locked vehicle Tanglewood LN. 3 year old locked inside. 3 year old was able to unlock the door.

1910 Damage To Property -Pine Park in reference to finding bullet holes in vehicle  report taken.

1920 1050 (I) E Washington Street 1 vehicle vs utility pole, Driver and passenger charged by GSP for VGCSA and DWLS

2124 Suspicious vehicle Alcovy at Fairway Drive. Vehicle partially in road out of gas gas. Owner returned and removed vehicle

2147 Suspicious person Pinecrest at W. Spring subject on bicycle in roadway almost got hit by car. Made contact with cyclist advised to be careful.

2157 Domestic Turner Street. Complainant said subject had hit him in the head with a beer bottle. He did not have any marks or swelling in the area he said he was hit. He wanted subject to leave the house. Report taken

2315 Domestic Tanglewood Drive – Two people in verbal dispute. One retrieved items and left for the evening.

Nov. 5

0618: Entering Auto, E. Tall Oaks Drive – Victim advised her 04 Kia was gone through. Headphones and USB charger taken. Occurred between 2000 hours and 0600 hours, report taken

0720: Damage to Property, Baron Drive. Mini van shot by BB gun approximately six or seven times breaking back window out of vehicle. Report taken.

0730: Entering Auto, W. Tall Oaks Drive. locked vehicle entered and items removed. GPS, and digital camera. No serial numbers. Report taken.

0740: Dispute, E. Marable St. Complainant advised a subject was refusing to leave. Subject was GOA. All 10/4 at this time.

0746: Mental health call. Patient was off her medication and needing someone to talk to, calling 911 saying someone was after her. Another person on location was asleep. He was advised to transport her to Advantage Behavioral or E.R. for evaluation.  Also advised to contact her father.  No further at this time.

0841; Suspicious vehicle, 417 E. Spring St. “Taylor’s” Black Kia Spectra left on location over night. 10/28 AJD5723, Advised vehicle could be impounded due to being on private property. Attempted contact with owner with negative results. No further at this time.

0856: Dispute, Towler Street. Subject advised that she and her 30 yr. old were arguing over him getting a job and he kicked the window on her vehicle then left.  No damage to vehicle.

0911: Damage to Property report, Baron Drive. Complainant advised his window was shot by a B.B. gun sometime last date.

0920: Suspicious Person, Stokes Street. while in the area looking for suspect, made contact with another subject on Stokes Street and a check through GCIC confirmed subject had active warrants out of Jackson County for Failure to Appear.  He was arrested and turned over to Walton County Jail without incident.

0951: Harassing communications, 6th Street. Advised to block caller and number. Declined report. No further.

1148: Threats Report – Broad St. MPD Lobby, Complainant gave the name of someone harassing her by calling over 50 times. Caller reportedly said he was going to beat her. Warrants to be taken. She was advised to renew her Temporary Protection Order. Report taken.

1238: Animal complaint, Cloverdale Dr. Resident advised of new City Ordinance for K-9 tied to a tree being unattended without food or water or shelter.

1320: 911 hangup, Double Springs Church Rd. “B.O.E.”  Contact made via phone advised all 10/4 misdial.

1413: Theft report, Davis St. Complaintant advised her daughter’s purse and wallet had been taken from her unlocked vehicle. Drivers license inside wallet along with Shell Credit Card. Report taken.

1527: Theft report, S. Broad St. “MPD lobby” Complainant advised that she left a highchair at another house about 4 months ago and the homeowner gave it to someone else in the County.  Advised of Civil process over property.  Also referred back to Walton County Sheriff’s Office due to highchair being in the county.

1618: Broke down Bus, S. Madison & Atha Street. Bus mechanic arrived and pushed bus further onto Atha Street from S. Madison Ave. GSP on scene to handle traffic.

1620: Follow up, Davis Street. complainant had serial number for cell phone reported stolen from case # 1540692, supplemental to be added with information.

1623: Entering Auto, East Tall Oaks Drive. Complainant advised sometime last night her vehicle was entered and $110.00 was stolen. Rear passenger door was not locked. Report taken

1626: Meet with Taylors on E. Spring St. reference to vehicle owner on location pertaining to vehicle that was left on location earlier this date. Complainant requesting to speak with a supervisor.

1646: Road blocked/broke down vehicle, Alcovy and Walker Dr. school bus in roadway.  Called in by MFD. 10/74 contact roadway clear.

1659: Suspicious Vehicle, 10/49 Failure to maintain lane, Hwy. 11 North from Criswell Rd. red and gold older Dodge Truck.  10/74 contact.

1704: Arrest Transport, Alcovy Street, Georgia Probation Management. Subject arrested for probation violation. Transported to Walton county jail without incident.
