Monroe PD Reports: TV stolen during burglary while 11 and 12-year-old in home

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Nov. 6 – 19, 2015. This report is split into six parts due to the length. This is the sixth part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction. 

  • Suspicious vehicle call on Hwy 78 toward City, Report of a white Audi sedan driven by a black female was texting and driving.  Negative contact.
  • Suspicious vehicle call CVS, Report of a silver Pontiac sedan parked at front door, with 2 juveniles in vehicle unattended, vehicle GOA.
  • Suspicious person call on W. Spring St at GWA, Report of juvenile male reported missing from Barrow County walking near roadway.  Located male and identified him as missing juvenile.  Turned over to Barrow County SO.
  • Unknown Law call on Norris St., Caller was a female requesting help and wasn’t able to leave.  Made contact with all residents and all was ok see next few calls.
  • Follow up on W. Vine St., Was caller from previous call, Subject on location was under influence of Meth and other pills.  She admitted to suicidal thoughts, turned over to EMS for transport.
  • EMS assist on S. Broad St at Dollar General, EMS requested assistance quickly, Subject from previous 2 calls was combative in ambulance.  She was arrested and transported to Clearview by officer.  Released on copy at Clearview for evaluation.
  • Juvenile Complaint call on Wheelhouse Ln., Ref: 14-year-old female on location being unruly and refusing to take medication.  Situation was mediated, juvenile took medication and was ok.
  • Dispute call on GW Carver Dr., Report of a verbal dispute over parking spaces.  Situation Mediated.
  • Dispute call on 3rd St., Report of female blowing horn and yelling at a male in the side yard.  Made contact with Cherry Hawkins who was arrested for DOC.
  • Discharging Firearms call on S. Madison Ave., Report of 4 gunshots in parking lot of Madison Manner, Caller did not wish to report in person, area checked on foot, no contact with any suspicious activity.
  • Discharging Firearms call on S. Madison Ave., Same caller reported hearing more gunshots in parking lot.  Officers made contact with caller, who was suffering from mental illness.  Area checked negative contact with shell casings of evidence of gunshots in area.
  • Entering auto call on Carver Pl., caller stated unknown male wearing green jacket and jeans entered her car and stole her wallet.
  • Entering auto call on S Lumpkin St. (Cotton Depot) reference to a wallet taken from vehicle on Saturday during a wedding.
  • Dispute call on Tall Oaks Ln., male and female subjects verbally disputing. Situation mediated, all ok.
  • Damage to property call on S Madison Ave., caller advised his GMC Yukon had a hole punctured in gas tank sometime overnight while he was sleeping. Report taken.
  • Child Molestation call on N Midland Ave., mother advised her daughter (9 yoa) and niece (8 yoa) were molested on 11-4-2015 by named male subject. Report taken and CID notified.
  • Follow up on E Washington St. Apt.15, caller had information on who damaged her vehicle. Supplemental report completed.
  • Fraud report taken at Monroe Police Department lobby in reference to someone trying to make purchases on credit card and having items shipped to California. Walmart fraud department is handling case due to them contacting complainant and purchases were never completed.
  • Suspicious vehicle call on Baron Dr. Subject riding 4-wheeler in roadway. Contact made and advised to stay out of roadway.
  • Domestic problem report taken at MPD lobby. Complainant had questions regarding child custody, advised of civil remedies.
  • Domestic problem call on Ridge Rd., Verbal dispute only over gathering property from residence. All ok.
  • Domestic problem call on report @ MPD lobby. Mother and son disputing over money. Son struck mother in face. Warrants TBT for battery-FV.
  • Juvenile complaint on Ash St. 5-year-old being unruly, all ok.
  • Stolen vehicle recovered on 2nd St. at Barrett St.
  • Theft call on Reed St., caller stated wallet was taken out of her car at Walmart last date. Report taken.
  • Suspicious vehicle call on Hwy 78E. Black Ford F-150 w/ big tires speeding, area checked no contact.
  • Domestic problem call on Ridge Rd., two subjects were physically disputing over relationship. Warrants TBT on one of the subjects.
  • Domestic problem call on Walmart, Report of male and female in blue Chevy truck in verbal dispute in the parking lot.  Made contact with male and female subjects who were in a verbal dispute over living situation.  All ok, Situation mediated.
  • Dispute call on M Maple lane, Unknown problem, caller was screaming into phone on 911, was a dispute between neighbors over children fighting.  Parties separated.
  • Prowler call on Thompson Ridge Dr., caller reported unknown person was beating on her back door, area checked no contact with anyone in the area.
  • Prowler call on Thompson Ridge Dr., Caller reported that after Officers left the first time the person returned, and when she checked the backyard her window was broken.  Damage to property report taken.
  • Unsecure Premises at Mike Cash, Pedestrian reported that the front door was unsecure.  Officers checked location and key holder responded.  All ok.
  • Loud Music on Landers St., Report music was coming from residence in middle of street.  All ok.
  • Stolen vehicle at Walmart, Complainant reported his 1999 Honda Accord was taken by his girlfriend and the vehicle was on Armistead Cir.  Located vehicle on Armistead Cir and made contact with girlfriend.  Was civil issue and ongoing issue.  Advised both parties of remedies.
  • 911 hang up call on E. Tall Oaks, Made contact with resident who stated he did not call and this was the second time this week.  All 10-4 possibly weather related.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Waffle House N. Broad St., Mother reported her 16-year-old daughter was attempting to run away and was sitting on the side of hwy 11.  Made contact with the daughter who requested help due to mental illness.  Turned over to mother who took her to Clearview for evaluation.
  • Suspicious person call on Wells Fargo Atm, S. Broad St., Report of 2 males sitting in vehicle by the ATM. Made contact with parties, all was ok and sent on their way.
  • Entering Auto call on Mill Creek Way, Report of black male in a white hooded sweatshirt and black pants breaking into cars in area.  2 vehicles were entered, nothing taken.  Entering Auto report taken
  • Suspicious vehicle call Post Office N. Broad St., Reported by Waffle House employee that a white SUV was parked near the post office.  Vehicle was all ok and unoccupied.  
  • Suspicious person call on Hwy 78 East at West Spring St., Report of male with a flashlight waving the flashlight at passing traffic.  Area checked no contact.
  • EMS Assist on Claywil Cir., 22 yoa male suffers from mental illness and refused to take medication and was yelling in the front yard.  All ok turned over to EMS.
  • EMS Assist on Southview Dr., Elderly female fell out of bed and needed assistance, family members were asleep on location, but woke up prior to arrival.
  • Stolen vehicle call at Walmart, Employee was working in Snellville and a fellow employee called her and reported her vehicle a silver 1997 Silver Honda Accord was missing. Walmart management was able to review the video and observed a white male in a black Toyota 4 runner pulled up next to her vehicle and left.  The Toyota was stolen through Gwinnett County.  Report taken Silver Accord was entered onto GCIC.
  • Burglary call possibly in progress on Mill Stone Bluff, juveniles 11 and 12 yrs old advised they could hear someone downstairs inside the residence. Parents had left for work already. 32” T.V. taken from residence after subject entered through the back kitchen window. No serial numbers at this time. Incident occurred at approximately 0530 hours. Unable to lift any finger prints from point of entry.
  • Suspicious Person call on Wheelhouse Lane, black male in the area with a backpack.  Area checked with no contact with subject.
  • Follow up on E. Washington Ave., ongoing issues over Facebook comments, caller advised female subject made comments on Facebook. Supplemental report to original added.
  • Suspicious Person call at W. Spring St. “Wal-Mart”, female subject served with Prohibited entry due to product exchange transaction.
  • Theft report call on West Marable, complainant advised she believed that male subject took her $5.00 flip phone. Attempt to locate male subject was unsuccessful. Report taken.
  • Dispute call on Davis St., the complainant advised male subject came to the residence to visit her son and stepped inside without her permission. Report taken.
  • Damage to Property call on N. Broad & Spring St., Fire Hydrant knocked over by tractor trailer.  The water department responded and removed the hydrant. Report completed.
  • Civil Matter call on Bold Springs Rd. “Rocky’s Pizza”, disgruntled employee over last pay check. Manager advised will mail last pay check within 72 hours after uniforms were returned. Employee advised to contact wage and labor if they are not paid.  No further.
  • Domestic problem call at Applebee’s parking lot. Called in by EMS unit. Younger couple verbal.  All ok by the time they got into Applebee’s.
  • EMS Assist. on Indian Springs, 93 years old female fell and needed assistance getting up. Called in by officer.  Turned over to EMT’s.  Transported to Clearview.
  • Harmful Attempt call on Atha Street, female subject took several prescription medications over a dispute with her husband. Transported to Clearview Medical.
  • Speeding Vehicle, coming from Youth Jersey Rd. maroon Monte Carlo, last seen passing St. Anna’s church.  Negative contact with vehicle, complainant lost contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle call on E. Spring St. “Valero”, vehicle parked on location for several hours. Contact made with owner. Citied for possession of marijuana less than an ounce released on citation. Vehicle moved.
  • Dispute call on Ash Lane, Mother advised her 15 year old daughter is being picked on at school MAHS, suspect named from Ash Lane. Contact made with S.R.O. Officer Harris and advised mother would be in contact with him next date.
  • Harassing phone calls on Launius Ave., mother advised she was being called and harassed by her daughter. Advised of remedies.
  • Loud Music call on MLK Blvd., black Volkswagen bug. Contact made with subjects in vehicle. Singing loudly. All ok.
  • Dispute call on Gatewood Way, mother disputing with daughter, situation mediated.
  • Domestic problem call in area of New Lacey and Magnolia all parties GOA, no report requested area checked with no contact.
  • Damage to property call on Arcadia Ct., complainant advised her vehicle was scratched while she was visiting her boyfriend.
  • Suspicious person at Taylor’s. Jamie Lee Fletcher walking in road in front of Taylor’s. Had Monroe warrants for FTA. He was arrested.
  • Officer called to South Broad St., caller advised he was stranded by a friend. He is from Florida and requested a place to sleep for the night. FISH was contacted and they arranged a place for him to stay.
  • Officer called to South Broad St., Johns Supermarket, area checked due to suspicious w/m standing next to the business, made contact with male subject who lives next door, he was waiting on a ride.  He was given a ride to Atha St.  All ok.
  • Suspicious person call on Green St., caller said subjects in hoodies were burning cans. Area checked with no contact.
  • Suspicious person call on E. Church, Coin Laundry unknown male subject caught masturbating in front of window wearing a white hat and dark clothing. Last seen running toward the back of the building.
  • Suspicious vehicle call on Hwy 11 headed south into the city, ref to a red F-150 FTML, all ok, sleepy driver.
  • Officer called to MPD Lobby, reference to possible TPO violation. Crystal Howard advised she’s being contacted by Christopher Strong, via Facebook.  Advised her to block Facebook and stop reading his posts. Supplemental report to be filed.
  • Officer called to Country Hearth Inn, reference to subject wanting a ride to the F.I.S.H. Subject was not disabled and the weather was permitting him to walk or call a taxi.
  • Animal call/ Bite on Walton Road, 80 year old female was bit by a k-9 that stays on the property. Female was transported to Clearview to be treated for a bite to her arm and leg. K-9 was taken by animal control. Owner was served with paperwork.
  • Agency Assist, Hwy. 138 & Alcovy River Bridge, commercial bus slid off roadway while moving over for a wide load vehicle. Bus was pulled up from embankment by Taylors. No damage to bus. WCSO units all busy.
  • Dispute call on Bridgeport Place, Civil matter between male and female subjects over a vehicle. Situation mediated and subject advised of civil process.
  • Warrants subject Pickup on Alcovy St., Freddie Harris arrested for probation violation. TOT Walton County Jail.
  • Suspicious Person call on MLK Blvd, Tractors Supply parking lot. Black male blocking people into parking spaces then asking for money. Area checked no contact.
  • Theft report taken at MPD. Lobby, complainant wanted to report his Nikon camera stolen from his apt. on  Maple Lane but he didn’t know when it was taken or a model or serial number. Advised to contact Best Buy to locate further information.  Will call back.
  • Suspicious Vehicle call on Alcovy St., vehicle unable to maintain Lane, Silver Malibu located at Chevron. Elderly female driver all ok at this time. No violations observed by officer.
  • Suspicious Person Report on Plaza Dr. “Premier Kids” complaint advised there was a white female going through the mail earlier this date.
  • Dispute call on Walker Dr., Benjamin Lindstrom arrested for Criminal Trespass F.V. due to him breaking items inside the household.  TOT Walton County Jail Warrants to be taken.
  • Dispute call on Glen Iris Dr. & E. Spring St., complainant advised she was being harassed by two females she had been disputing with and they threw ice at her. Complainant escorted back to Glen Iris Drive without incident.
  • Suspicious Vehicle call on S. Broad St., Green Chevy Blazer unable to maintain lane. Left roadway.  Contact made with driver at the Chevron on S. Broad. All ok.
  • Suspicious person call on Tanglewood Dr., Juveniles threw something at a school bus. Unknown if bus had damage. Negative contact with juveniles.
  • Welfare check call on Forest Ln., caller requested welfare check on juvenile. Officer spoke to aunt and also spoke to juvenile Child is OK. ALL OK.
  • Mics. Theft call on S Broad St., white male and white female seen taking items from the store but were GOA. Report requested.
  • Suspicious person call on West Fambrough St., near the railroad tracks, Harlen Davis arrested for warrants.
  • 911 hang up call on Harvest Lane, verbal between male and female subjects, parties separated
  • Dispute call on Booth Dr., Quantavius Johnson and another male subject in verbal argument. Johnson arrested for Morgan Co. warrants.
  • Suspicious person call on Carver Place, reference black male shouting in the middle of the street. Willie Jackson arrested for public intox.
  • Suspicious person call on Glen Iris Dr., caller advised that 3 juveniles were suspicious in the area wearing all black carrying back packs.  They were GOA in the area of Edwards St., area checks with no contact.
  • Domestic problem call on East Tall Oaks Dr., Devin Middleton, Timothy McLendon, and male subject were involved in a domestic violence situation. Mr. McLendon and Mr. Middleton were arrested for battery.
  • Damage to property call on Tall Oaks Dr., George Phillips advised that his back window was pushed in, entry was not made, possible suspect named.
