Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Jan. 8 – 14, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the final part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- EMS Assist on Tanglewood Dr., 4-year-old juvenile not breathing, CPR in progress. Units arrived and assisted with CPR, Rescue Breathing, and carried juvenile to ambulance. Officer rode in with ems to Clearview. Juvenile breathing once at hospital. Juvenile then flown to CHOA for further evaluation.
- Suspicious vehicle call on Alcovy St at Vine St ref to a vehicle that was tailgating the caller and flashing its head lights, the caller lost contact with the vehicle prior to Breedlove Dr, and the caller no longer wanted to meet with officer.
- Harassing Communication at the Waffle House N. Broad St, Keilee Herrick and Allison Haynes stated that they were receiving text messages directing them to pornography. The messages are coming from a texting app. Both were referred to their service provider to try and get further info on the number that the texts are coming from.
- Suspicious vehicle call on Olympian way, called in by a 3rd party due to a vehicle on location. Contact made with male subject who was on location doing work for the home owner.
- Suspicious vehicle/chase on foot. Officer got into a chase on foot with a male matching the description of a suspicious/wanted person. Subject ran from South Broad St. to the wooded area on Mathis St. Justice Wright was arrested for DOC and a Walton County warrants.
- Area check call on Davis St., caller advised of 2 b/m and 2 b/f’s yelling back and forth. Made contact with the resident there, she advised of a brief fight between 2 b/m’s that got out of two different black cars at the intersections of Magnolia St. All appeared to be ok upon officer arrival.
- Suspicious vehicle call on South Broad Street at Davis Street with regard to a car hauler FTML, contact was made and officer followed the vehicle on Hwy 11 to the city limits on 78 w, all appeared to be ok with the vehicle.
- Fraud call on South Broad St., caller advised that on last Thursday she cashed a check for a female. The female took the cashed check with her and deposited said check in her bank account. Caller was advised to call again when she had the suspect information.
- Suspicious person call on at West Spring St. Complainant advised that people collecting donations in the intersection yelled at his wife because she wouldn’t roll down her window. Contacted the individuals collecting for a Children’s Hospital, and they hadn’t yelled at anyone.
- Dispute call on E Church St. Complainant advised male subject pulled up to her residence and started cussing her out. Negative contact with male subject. All ok.
- Civil Dispute on W. Spring St., caller stated that Owner of Bargain Mart, owed her 50 dollars for a consignment sell. Owner paid the money owed all ok.
- Juvenile complaint on Mill Stonebluff, mother advised that her daughter assaulted her younger sister over a sandwich, situation mediated
- Anonymous Complaint W. Spring and MLK Blvd. wanted check on permit for group collecting donations for their church. Subject presented permit. All ok.
- Fraud on Washington St., regarding two forgery charges and CCW, after subject attempted to cash two forged checks
- Illegal parking call on Cedar Ln. Spoke to the resident on Cedar Lane, and they agreed to move their car
- Escort call at CVS, Male subject requested a ride to Alcovy St., in reference to picking up property. Advised to contact Sheriff’s office because of amount of property.
- Suspicious person call at Johns Supermarket, Report of white male on location running into beer cooler, yelling in store, and pounding on counter. Subject arrested for DOC.
- Dispute call on Glen Iris Dr., Verbal dispute between cousins, all ok, situation mediated.
- Domestic problem call on Tanglewood Ln., Verbal dispute, over finances, situation mediated.
- Theft call on Cook St., caller reported his driver’s license was stolen, report taken.
- Sexual Assault at WCSO, Female was assaulted on E. Church Street on Dec 23, 2015. Report taken CID notified.
- Wanted person call at Monroe Motor Inn, Nakiya Backmon arrested for WCSO warrants.
- Suspicious person call on Plaza Dr., Black male ran on foot toward Carwood dr, slender male wearing gloves, a ski mask and carrying a book bag, GOA.
- Domestic problem call on Tanglewood Dr., Verbal dispute between female and male over child care. No court order in place. Advised female of the civil process and advised her not to come back.
- Wanted person call on Alcovy St., Subject had a probation violation. He was arrested and transported to the Walton county jail.
- Wanted person call on Alcovy St., Subject arrested for a county probation warrant.
- Suspicious vehicle call on Highway 78 East @ Highway 11, Caller advised dark ford truck pulling trailer with an unsecured load and driving reckless. Contact made with vehicle in the parking lot of Walton Truck stop. Subject arrested for VGCSA less than ounce.
- Domestic problem call on Edwards St., Dispute between complainant and 19 year-old daughter (Gabrielle Davis). Davis was arrested for Agg. Assault, Simple Battery, and Terroristic Threats x3. Warrants to be taken by officer.
- Speeding auto call on Highway 78 west @ Walton Truck Stop, Grey SUV speeding, and tailgating on highway 78. Stopped vehicle at Tractor Supply parking lot. All ok.
- Suspicious Vehicle call on North Broad St., Caller advised as he returned to the car dealership, he observed a dark in color ford ranger sitting in one of the driveways. Caller advised as he approached he observed two males in the vehicle and once they observed him they sped away. Caller advised it didn’t appear that anything was taken. Area checked for the vehicle, negative contact.
- Suspicious Person call on South Broad St., at Alcovy St., Caller advised subjects were following him. Caller was intoxicated and given a ride to GW Homes. All ok.
