Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Jan. 15 – 21, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the first part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- Domestic Problem/Verbal call on Turner St., Verbal dispute between Mother/daughter. Situation medicated. Daughter takes meds and was being argumentative. All ok.
- Anonymous caller, possible domestic problem on Bryant Rd., contact made with residents, all ok. Negative on domestic, younger child being loud and neighbor called in. Resident currently being cared for by her daughter.
- Civil Matter, officers called to CVS, Reference to male subject with bond conditions to stay away from his step sister at on Alcovy St. Male subject wanted officers to tell his sister to leave. Both advised of bond condition and civil process. Male subject advised not to return until his sister is done moving out.
- Arrest pickup, Gwinnett County, D’Vonte’ Arthur Jordan, arrested, transported to Walton County Jail, MPD Warrrant FTA. Original charges, Loitering and Prowling.
- Theft report call on E. Church St., complainant of Lawrenceville was attempting to sell his beats and meeting subjects in Monroe. Two-Black males wearing black hoodies and sweat pants took the beats upon inspection and ran off without paying for them. Theft occurred on Claywill Circle and the subjects ran into the woods towards Landers Street. Negative contact with subjects. Report taken. Red beats will be placed onto GCIC.
- Shoplifting call at MLK Blvd. “Tractors Supply” subjects left on foot and got into a vehicle in the Dunkin donuts drive-thru. Subject was arrested for shoplifting and turned over to Walton County Jail. Other subjects in the vehicle had alcohol (beer) which was confiscated and discarded (poured out on video.) Subjects identified and released from scene.
- Dispute, return call on Alcovy St. dispute between brother and sister. Sister stated brother attempted to change the locks on the doors while she was not home. Both subject advised to stay away from each other. Sister stated she was moving out by next Friday. Brother advised to stay away from sister per his bond conditions. Both parties agreed.
- Fraud Report taken at MPD Lobby, complainant advised some unknown person withdrew $1135.50 from her Peach State Federal Credit Union using ATM in Monroe and Atlanta areas. Dates were from 12/16 to 01/04/16.
- Prescription Fraud at Rite Aid on W. Spring Street. Jonathan Remsen arrested after attempting to pass an altered prescription to obtain Oxycodone.
- Stopping suspicious vehicle on S. Broad and Court Street; Mari Valle arrested for driving while unlicensed and no headlights.
- Suspicious Vehicle at Fast Auto Sales; while building and area check located two subjects in their car, customers on scene picking up their daughter’s car.
- Dispute call on Ridge Rd., two male subject’s about to fight over female that is pregnant with a baby by one of them. All parties were separated, all ok.
- Fight call at Fuzions; Hip Hop Night mayhem after male subject made advances to unknown party’s girlfriend and was beat up by multiple subjects. Male subject had bloodied lip, swollen eyes and was intoxicated. Male subject refused to cooperate and refused EMS treatment.
- Fight call at Tall Oaks Drive; Third Party report of a fight in area but subjects fled on foot prior to arrival.
- Wanted person Pickup at Fulton County Jail, Darionne Lee arrested on Monroe Warrant.
- Entering Auto call on Bolton Street, complainant advised someone entered her Unlocked V.W Jetta sometime last night between 0000-0600 hours removing $171.00 from her wallet which was in the center console.
- Domestic Dispute over property on Wheelhouse Lane, couple going through a divorce and arguing over property. Advised of civil process.
- Entering Auto on Nowell Way, complainant advised someone entered her unsecured Honda Accord after 2230 hours on 01/14 and took her wallet and $300.00 cash from the glovebox. Her Macy’s and JC. Penny card was used online to make purchases of $142.00 and $750.00 was transferred from her Walmart Master Card to another account.
