Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between July 8 – 14, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the first part for this period.
- Medical call, Walton Rd., subject on location suffering from seizures possible caused by an overdose of prescription meds. Turned over to EMS
- Suspicious person, South Broad St. B/M following employee around store grabbing her and kissed her on neck. Subject arrested for disorderly conduct.
- Medical call, East Church St. EMS assist reference to a subject going through alcohol withdraws and having difficulty breathing. EMS transported. All ok.
- Civil issue, West Spring St., complainant attempting to remove property, residence locked with no one home. Advised of civil process
- Theft report, Booth Dr., complainant advised TV, XBOX, shoes, and juice from the fridge, and chips missing from residence. Suspect may have entered through undamaged back door.
- Suspicious person, white male walking down railroad tracks stumbling between Vine and Atha. Contact made with Harold Swords who had a warrant out of Walton county. Arrested and transported to Walton county jail.
- Welfare check, Oak Ridge. Anonymous caller advised check welfare on 10-month-old acting lethargic last date. Contact made with child, all ok.
- Damage to property, Perry St., Tennant moved out Tuesday, landlord went by today to find back door kicked in.
- Dispute, West Spring St., Coin Car Wash. Stemming from civil issue earlier on West Spring St. Homeowner now on location allowed items to be taken from the residence.
- Harassment report taken at PD lobby, complainant wanted documentation for good behavior process due to an incident that occurred out in the county or Social Circle. According to WCSO supervisor, incident report was already filed. Referred to WCSO.
- Domestic problem, report only tall oaks. Complainant stated her ex-boyfriend came to her residence earlier this date to see his daughter. She had questions regarding TPO process. Remedies advised.
- Suspicious vehicle, S. Broad St/Atha St – Ref to a small silver SUV ran off the road. It looked like it hit a sign and it is passing the carwash. Searched the area with no contact.
- Fight, Ref to two white females that are screaming and yelling. One arrested for simple battery (FV).
- Officer flagged down, Tanglewood Dr – Ref to a 2-year-old having vaginal issues. Made contact with on-call CID in reference to a 2-year-old possible having genital herpes. Report taken and advised to meet with CID on Monday morning.
- Welfare check, Davis St., Anonymous complainant was concerned that female subject was under the influence and was concerned for a baby. Made contact with the mother, child and live in friend on location. All parties appeared okay.
- Domestic dispute, Springdale Rd – Ref to male subject on location causing a disturbance. Male subject and his wife have extensive unreported domestic disputes in Oconee County. Referred to Oconee County and asked for Oconee County to go by the residence to check on their 8-year-old daughter. Incident documented.
- Assault, Clearview – Ref to a female subject in the waiting room who was cut on her arm. Made contact with female subject who stated that she got mad earlier and cut her own arm. Advised Clearview staff to have a mental evaluation conducted on subject.
- Domestic, Turner St., Ref to complainant advising that her husband has her medication. Not a domestic dispute, ref to a med call. Turned over to EMS.
- Suicide threat, Unisia Dr., called in by Madison County, reference to male subject making threats by text that he wanted to die by suicide by a cop. Made contact with subject and transported him to Clearview for a mental evaluation. Subject was later released by Clearview.
- Domestic, Claywill Circle, complainant was upset that his wife changed the locks on the doors and she had left the area. All ok.
- Theft, Mill St., complainant advised that someone stole her birth certificate, social security card and her daughter’s social security card.
- Domestic, Marable Lane, complainant advised that 17-year-old female was cursing and hitting her mother. Complainant advised that 17-year-old has been to hospital before. 17yr old was trying to get some of her belongings from the residence so that she could leave and her mother blocked the doorway so 17-year-old pushed her out of the way. Parties were separated and incident was documented.
- Suspicious person, Baron Dr., Ref to 50+ juveniles in the area looking like they are about to fight. Juveniles dispersed the area on arrival and were chanting “Black lives matter”
- Domestic, Perry St., complainant advised that male subject was on location and refusing to leave. Prior to arrival, male subject left and officers were unable to locate him.
- Domestic, S. Madison Ave., Ref to complainant brother on location intoxicated and disputing with his sister. Sister advised that he is refusing to pay any bills to help her out. Situation was mediated and advised the sister of the eviction process. Documented incident.
- Suspicious person, Taylor’s, Ref to male subject on location while conducting area check. Subject had travelled on the bus from Arkansas after being released from prison and out on parole. Had Gwinnett County make contact with his mother to advise her to come pick him up. Officer transported subject to the QT in Loganville to wait for his mother.
- Theft report, Colley St., complainant stated her roommate took her birth certificate at an unknown date, Subject stated she hasn’t taken her mental health medication in some time. Remedies advised
- Burglary, Maple St, complainant advised someone broke into the community building and stole a PA system.
- Suspicious person, near Clearview Regional Medical Center. White female wearing black T-shirt and blue jeans with black hair possibly intoxicated. Area checked with negative contact.
- Dispute, Colley St dispute between female and male subjects, parties separated. Female was re-told of the proper remedies.
- Juvenile complaint, Carwood Dr., mother stated her juvenile is unruly and disrespectful. Remedies advised and report taken.
- Suspicious person, N. Broad St., Black male white t shirt black shorts walked into the store asking about how to get in the locked door next door. Area checked with negative contact. Spoke to complainant who requested extra patrol.
- Accident, S Broad St 5th St., 2 vehicles no injuries. Driver arrested for following too closely, no license and DUI.
- Juvenile complaint, Davis St., mother stated her 6-year-old daughter was being disrespectful, advised complainant of parenting classes.
- Vicious Animal, Michael Circle, complainant advised her dog was attacked by her neighbor’s dog and was killed. Contact made with neighbor that k-9 belonged to, the k-9 had already been taken to animal control. Report was taken. Animal Control contacted.
