Monroe PD Reports: Man arrested on narcotics charge after foot chase, damage to police vehicle

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between  July 8 – 14, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the second part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Damage to Property, South Broad St., complainant advised her vehicle was hit while someone was backing out of the parking lot. Second vehicle was gone on arrival. Report taken.
  • Loud Music, Landers Street at Church Street. Complainant advised vehicles were parking in the roadway and the music was too loud. Contact made with party at the corner of Church Street and Landers. Cars were not blocking roadway and music was tolerable levels. All ok. Several calls from same complainant were made. Officers checked each time and all was ok. Contact was made with complainant and he was advised of noise ordinance and parking issue.
  • Damage to Property, Lakeview Drive – complainant advised her boyfriend took her vehicle and had an accident in the area of Lacy Street. Report taken.
  • Dispute, East Church Street, dispute between two subjects over some clothes and an electric bill.  Both parties were advised of the civil process.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Complainant advised male subject wearing a blue polo shirt and blue jeans took a vacuum cleaner without paying. Complainant advised the male subject left in a white in color Chevrolet SUV. Report taken.
  • Harassing Phone Calls, Perry St., complainant advised a male subject continues to call her phone. Complainant was advised of the T.P.O. process again. Complainant has been advised of this process several times before but has not taken the proper steps to completing the process.
  • Shoplifting, South Broad St., Complainant advised female in the store taking sleeping pills and was gone on arrival – left in a red in color van. Van was located on Towler St. Subject arrested for shoplifting.
  • Agency Assist, Walton Road at East Marable, Walton County Sheriff’s Office in chase with vehicle from safety checked at the city limits on Walton Road. The vehicle wrecked on East Marable at Walton Road. Subject was arrested.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Chestnut Lane, Complainant advised kids in the area riding bikes in the roadway and being loud. Contact made and told to go home.
  • Fight, chase, arrest, Davis Street. Officers were dispatched to a fight in the area. Units arrived  and officer observed Dominque Reed flee on foot and throw narcotics into the wood line. Narcotics were collected and taken into evidence. Officer lost contact. Another officer made contact with Reed at Jack Peters and another foot chase insured. Other officer attempted to tase and it was unsuccessful, Reed was finally arrested behind Rivers of Mercy Church. One officer’s patrol unit damaged during the chase.
  • Dispute, Lacy St., Dispute over property. Situation mediated.
  • Dispute, Gatewood Way, Dispute between mother and son. Son left for the night. All ok.
  • Dispute, Birch St., Dispute between subjects on location. When officers arrived all subjects were gone. All ok.
  • Dispute, G.W. Carver Dr., Complainant advised his girlfriend wouldn’t let him leave the location. Subject was intoxicated. All ok.
  • Underage Consumption, North Broad St., Subject arrested for underage.
  • Dispute, 6th St., Male subject picking up bags left at the road for FISH, neighbors giving subject a hard time for picking up the bags. All ok.
  • Prowler, Kingsridge Dr., Complainant advised subjects ringing her doorbell. Area and building checked all ok.
  • Domestic problem, Ford St. Third party caller said male subject was on location arguing with a female subject and threatened to break windows of her vehicle out. No contact was made with anyone at residence and complainant, Third party said parties involved left the residence prior to Officers arrival
  • EMS assist,  West Tall Oaks Dr, male subject recently released from Clearview Regional for taking Xanax and alcohol suffered a seizure and had difficulty breathing. Turned over to EMS
  • Officers called to Lacy Street, resident needed assistance unlocking his screen door, door was unlocked through a hole in the screen all ok.
  • Entering auto, East Church St., two vehicles entered, black wallet taken from black Camaro. Fingerprints lifted from black Camaro windows, report taken.
  • Domestic problem, Colley St., complainant had questions regarding keeping male subject from her residence, negative on domestic. Remedies advised.
  • Dispute, South Madison Ave., Dispute between the complainant and his sister. Situation mediated.
  • 911 Hang-up, Knight St., caller advised someone stole her purse and money. Situation was mediated. All ok.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., clerk advised female came in the store and stole washing detergent, and left the area in a grey Buick. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Spring at Broad, Complainant advised two subjects on motorcycles drove by her yelling at her and now were behind her. Complainant turned towards Social Circle and the motorcycle continued straight. Negative contact with anyone. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, Sherwood at Alcovy St., Complainant advised subjects outside with flash lights. Contact made with subjects moving into a residence. All ok.
  • Loitering,  West Spring St., Complainant advised she has attempted to make subjects in the parking lot leave several times due to them being loud and unruly. Contact made with 8-10 juveniles standing by their vehicles parked in front of the no loitering signs. All were advised to leave and not to be hanging out in parking lot of WalMart Home Depot or Tractor Supply.
