Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between July 8 – 14, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the third part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Suspicious Person, North Broad St., Waitress from business advised a man wearing white shirt and blue jeans was standing outside of the business. Complainant advised subjects were intoxicated and making people feel uncomfortable. Contact made with subject and he was given a ride to Tall Oaks.
- Traffic Stop /arrest, North Broad St. @ Franks, Joshua Sorrow arrested for probation violation through Madison County
- Transport, North Broad St., Waitress from business wanted an escort to her vehicle due to the recent subject in the area.
- Suspicious Person, Forest Lane, Complainant advised female subject was on location and had ran away from home. Contact made with mother and she advised she was not a runaway and refused to pick her up. Complainant gave subject a ride back home. All ok.
- Domestic, Tall Oaks Lane, Complainant advised her boyfriend was being beat up at this location by his brother Alex Robinson. Contact made with boyfriend and observed obvious signs of domestic abuse. Robinson was arrested for Battery (FV). Warrants taken by officer.
- Domestic, South Broad St., Altercation between sisters. Ashley Angles arrested for warrant out of Atlanta and Battery (FV). Warrants to be taken by officer.
- Entering Auto, White Oak Dr., Complainant advised $10 in change, box of 40 caliber rounds, and a set of white in color beats were taken from vehicles in yard. Area checked in white oak subdivision and found several other vehicles gone through. Nothing taken from them. Contact was made with each owner.
- Entering Auto, Creek View Dr., While patrolling the area observed several vehicles in Creek View subdivision that also had been gone through but nothing taken. Contact made with owner of each vehicle.
- Theft, W. Vine St. complainant reported battery stolen out of ambulance (Life care EMS) sometime over weekend. Report taken.
- Enter auto, Club side Crt., complainant stated sometime overnight, unknown suspect entered unlocked Honda Pilot and looked through center console but no items appeared to be taken. Report taken.
- Officer called to Gliding Ln., mother concerned about 36-year-old daughter being in abusive relationship in Oklahoma. Mother was advised to contact daughter and have her report it to authorities in Oklahoma.
- Arrest pick-up at Henry County Jail. Paul Camp arrested for FTA warrant and escorted to Walton County Jail.
- Shoplifting, S. Broad St. (Dollar General) W/F in older Lincoln Town car stole allergy meds and left location. Report taken.
- Enter auto, Red Oak Ct., complainant stated sometime around 0330 hrs., unknown entered unlocked Kia Sedona but no items were taken. Report taken.
- EMS assist, Douglas St., complainant stated 2YOA twins got into fathers blood pressure meds. EMS transported both juveniles to Clearview Regional Medical Center
- Officer called to Chestnut Ln., complainant wanted to retrieve property from residence, property was retrieved, all ok.
- Juvenile complaint, E. Church St., complainant stepson (10-year-old) was fighting w/ brother and became upset and then ran down street in green boxers. Stepson has ADD and ODD but not on meds. Stepson was escorted back home and complainant advised of remedies in community.
- Possible stolen vehicle, Walton Road, complainant stated her boyfriend took her maroon Ford Crown Victoria without permission. Report taken, vehicle entered on GCIC.
- Follow up at MPD lobby, complainant wanted details on TPO process and possibly taking warrants on male subject. All ok.
- Suspicious vehicle at Zaxby’s, Blue Nissan SUV speeding, called in by Monroe Fire. Walton County Sheriff’s Office advised due to vehicle heading out of city.
- MPD lobby call, daddy wanted info on how to get daughter help w/ drugs and being suicidal. Advised of medical process w/ judge.
- Damage to property, S. Broad St. (Gold “n” Pawn) driver was backing out of parking lot and struck mailbox.
- Civil issue taken at MPD lobby, complainant had questions about money owed from car sale. Advised of all civil remedies.
- Coroner called out at Clearview Regional Medical Center with family in regards to deceased family member, subjects at Clearview became upset and unruly when advised they could not see the deceased family member. Coroner advised he needed assistance quickly, all units responded and all ok.
- Enter auto, Mathis St., complainant stated unknown entered her vehicle sometime last night and stole purse. Report taken.
- Fire assist, E. Church St. (Jack Peters) in regards to power pole and transformer on fire. Monroe Fire had fire under control prior to arrival, all ok.
- Assault, West Spring St., Clearview Regional Medical Center, male subject assaulted by his girlfriend and refused to cooperate and not provide her name or much information. Report documented
- Entering Auto, Clubside Dr., complainant advised his son’s vehicle was entered the night prior. Contract and Insurance paperwork were taken out of glove box. Also visible damage to driver’s door.
