Monroe PD Reports: Woman says she swallowed a cockroach, rash of entering autos

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between  July 15 – 21, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the fourth part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Traffic Stop – Failure to Yield on East Church St. and Landers St.. Driver failed to stop for police over a tag light violation and drove at a slow rate of speed to his girlfriend’s house on Landers St. Subject was arrested and charged with tag light violation, driving without a license and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Riley also had a parole warrant, probation violation (Walton County), failure to appear (Winder P.D.), Failure to appear (Barrow county).
  • Suspicious Person on Highway 11. Papa John’s delivery driver went to wrong address on Highway 11 rather than the correct address on Highway 11. The complainant stated they did not order a pizza.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Pine Park St. complainant advised juveniles throwing rocks at her residence and ran off. Negative contact with juveniles but the location was corrected by the driver. Incident occurred in county and Be on the lookout given to MPD.
  • Criminal Trespass, West Vine St., Fallon Buff found inside a blue GMC Yukon backed up next fence, loaded with heavy duty wire with copper. The female stated she was with another male subject who could not be located. Meth found in vehicle next to Buff. Female arrested and taken to WCSO
  • Juvenile Complaint, Nowell St., Two Juvenile’s disputing over clothes.
  • Miscellaneous Law, Plaza Dr., complainant was advised she need to take her medication but couldn’t due power outage in area. She found matches and lit some candles prior to officer arrival.
  • Welfare check in the area of Highway 138 with reference to an elderly male walking across 138 against traffic.  An employee of 5 Dollar Car Wash advised the male was resident of Great oaks. Made contact with staff who advised they have two gentlemen who are not required to stay on property and advised they would speak with both.
  • Warrant arrest, S. Madison, Russel Automotive. Subject arrested for Aggrevated Assault warrants.
  • Theft report taken in lobby of MPD, complainant reports iPhone S5 stolen in locker room at Hitachi.
  • Shoplifting, East Spring, Dollar General, Subject arrested for shoplifting, warrant obtained.
  • Welfare check, Lacy St., Son attempting contact with his father. Girlfriend on location advised father still in hospital and would call son.
  • Report taken in lobby of MPD, complainant reporting loss of motorcycle plate during transit from South Carolina.
  • Threats report, Atha St., resident stated they were being harassed by a male subject in reference to their SSI. Remedies advised contact made with male subject with WCSO in Squirrel Hallow and advised to stay away.
  • Harassing phone calls, Walker Dr., Ref to receiving phone calls from an unknown subject. Advised to block the number.
  • Suspicious person at Longhorn’s – Ref to a male subject that ordered drinks at the bar and drank them, then he left without paying for them. Subject paid for the drinks and was given a ride home.
  • Child custody dispute, Bridgeport Ln., Dispute between two females over 7-year-old old juvenile. Report taken.
  • Unknown Law, N. Broad St., Ref to a black male subject that stole some canned Spam meat and when he was approached by the store clerk black male pushed him and then left the area.
  • Warrant service, 6th St., Attempt to serve warrants on two female subjects. Both arrested for probation violation warrants.
  • Intoxicated subject, S. Broad St., Made contact and transported to his residence in Conestoga.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Henson Dr., Made contact with male and female subject Male arrested for probation violation.
  • 911 Hang-up, Nowell St., Ref to an open line and can hear whining and slow breaths in the background. Juvenile on the line, all ok.
  • Dispute, Plaza Dr., mother advised that two black females jumped her daughter in the parking lot after following her home from Burger King. No signs of injury. Report taken.
  • EMS Assist at Davis St., female subject requesting EMS due to she thinks she swallowed a cockroach. Subject was pouring milk and water on herself trying to get rid of the cockroach. Subject is staying with friends on Dorothy Drive. Possible drug usage. Refused EMS.
  • Trespassing, Nowell St., new property owner advised someone possible living at vacant residence.  Residence cleared all ok.
  • Theft report taken at lobby of MPD.  Complainant reports several items moved or taken from her residence while she was in process of moving.  Items taken by handyman and returned.
  • Assault report taken at lobby of MPD, juveniles already occurred. Report done last night by officer and parent did not like outcome.
  • Unknown problem, 2050 West Spring, WalMart.  Reference to female sleeping on location.  Turned over to EMS, transported to Clearview Regional Medical Center
  • Run away Juvenile, Davis St., 14-year-old on location. Mother Request unruly report.
  • Agency Assist, Amber Tr – Volusia County SO (Florida) was requesting that an officer check the residence in reference to a laptop that was taken from an entering auto. Laptop GPS was tracked to this address. Made contact with homeowners, who had returned from FL night before, who would not give consent to search the residence. Advised Volusia County SO.
  • Domestic, Green St., Verbal dispute between two subjects. Documented.
  • Theft, Spruce Ln., Ref to garage broke into and weed eater taken, jewelry taken and the tires flattened on the lawnmower.
  • Dispute, Gatewood Way, Verbal dispute between roommates. Documented.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Felker Park, Ref to a white truck driving slowly around the park. Made contact with subjects searching for Pokemon! Subjects sent on their way.
  • Miscellaneous, S. Broad St., Ref to a female subject wanting to retrieve property from another residence. Residence in the county. TOT WCSO.
  • Theft, Sherwood Dr., Advised his girlfriend took items.
  • Burglary, Sorrells St., Ref to damaged window and trash can. Report taken.
  • Entering autos at Golfview Commons – Ref to 18 counts of entering autos, 6 counts of theft, and one count of curfew violation. Juvenile arrested and sent to RYDC. Male subject was named as other offender. Search warrant conducted on  Pine Park St.
  • Welfare check, Radford St., Elder W/M on front porch yelling. Contact made subject, advised to keep his voice down. Subject arguing w/ himself
  • Suspicious vehicle, on Alcovy St. red P/T Cruiser on location for several weeks. Call cleared, vehicle has been logged already and businesses advised they could have it towed if they wish.
  • Damage to property, W. Spring St. (Walmart), complainant advised buggy train knocked over his motorcycle @ 1900 hrs. Report taken.
  • Follow up, Masters Dr. in regards to enter auto during night. Officer advised report was made and she will add the additional info to her report.
  • Enter auto, Masters Dr., complainant advised damage to vehicle from entering auto last night, report taken by night shift, supplemental will be added.
  • Follow up taken at MPD lobby, complainant from Masters Drive advised 1 bottle of Norco, 1 vile of Testosterone, and 1 Invicta chrome diving watch w/ red dial and pearl inset ($350.00) will be added to night shift report.
  • Juvenile complaint, S. Broad St. (Pinnacle Bank) complainant was delivering lunches w/ foster kids for FISH and male subject became irate w/ other juveniles and kicked rear window of van causing it to shatter. Complainant declines pressing charges due to child’s personal issues. Report taken for documentation.
