Monroe PD Report: Unconscious woman; says injuries were from kick boxing

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between  July 22 – 28, 2016. This report is split into four parts due to the length. This is the second part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Damage to property, Manor Place with reference to male subject hit a mailbox with his motorcycle earlier this date. Requested a report.
  • Hit and Run, W. Spring St., Ref to a white truck hit complainant’s Caprice Classic and then left the scene. Made contact with other vehicle and driver. Accident report completed.
  • Damage to property, Glen Iris Dr., Civil issue over eviction. Advised of remedies.
  • Assault, Cook Pl., Subject advised that a white male, Name given, knocked on his door and then punched him. He was transported to Clearview Regional Medical Center for treatment and then arrested for a probation violation once he was released.
  • Dispute, Green St., complainant advised that a black male subject threw something at his truck causing slight damage. Male subject dropped his phone in complainant’s yard.
  • Juvenile complaint, Green St., Made contact with 15-year-old juvenile who was out past curfew. Transported her back to her residence on GW Carver Dr.
  • Juvenile complaint, GW Carver Dr., Ref to several juveniles on location yelling and being loud. On arrival, all subjects scattered.
  • Fight call, GW Carver Dr., Ref to male and female subjects on location fighting and throwing chairs. Area checked with negative contact with anyone.
  • Suspicious person, North Midland Ave., Several subjects ran after spotting the “Po Po” car. Made contact with a black male subject matching the description from Green Street. Subject will be listed as a suspect in report.
  • EMS Assist, E. Church St., female subject was unconscious and unresponsive. Subject had bruises all over and black eyes. Female subject advised that her injuries were from kick-boxing.
  • Traffic violation, Hwy 78/Hwy 138, driver cited for speeding and no insurance. Vehicle impounded by towing company.
  • Suspicious person, Maple St., Ref to someone knocking on complainant’s door. Check the area with negative contact.
  • Traffic violation at Hwy 78/E. Spring St – Arrested female subject for taillight requirements and DUI.
  • Suspicious person at Dunkin Doughnuts, male subject from Winder given escort to Windstream building.
  • Officer flag down during area check of Walmart. Subject had question about a VIN number from stolen report from 2 years ago, All ok.
  • Entering Auto, Jessica Way. Aprox. 4-6 vehicles entered between 0100 and 0600 that were left unlocked. Nothing taken, report declined.
  • Juvenile complaint, Carver Pl., 16-year-old juvenile arguing with mom about wanting to see friend.  Situation mediated.
  • Theft Report, Barron Dr., complainant stated her child’s father left a cell phone in his friends vehicle when he was arrested in Rockdale. Friend unwilling to return phone. Referred to Rockdale County.
  • Domestic problem, Birch St., Ref to male who stated that his wife slapped him twice. Officers made contact at both A and B to find no one familiar with call.  Dispatch called back and the male said all was ok.
  • Juvenile complaint, West Vine St., 6-year-old misbehaving. All ok.
  • Domestic problem, Maple Ln., daughter stated her father assaulted her mother. Both subjects GOA mother refused to return to the scene to file report. Father has warrants out of county.
  • Child custody dispute, North Broad, Golden Pantry. Subject standing by in black caprice, wanting ride to Hickory way to pick up child.
  • Identity theft, Michael Cir., Reference to somebody making a dating profile using the victim’s name. Victim also advised multiple men were coming to her house looking to take her for a date. Victim advised she wanted a report just in case the wrong man comes along.
  • Domestic, Plaza Dr., complainant advised that she was assaulted on Friday by a male subject.
  • Civil Dispute, All Star, Ref to a vehicle. Complainant advised his wife has a vehicle that he is paying for and will not return it. He advised he and his wife were currently going through a divorce. He was advised of the civil process.
  • Civil Dispute, Nowell St., complainant advised that a package was sent to Plaza Dr and the residents will not give her the package.
  • Illegal Alcohol, Classic Trail, Ref to subjects bootlegging in the cul-de-sac. Subjects were having a birthday party, not bootlegging.
  • Dispute, Walton St., Ref to a red truck chasing and following a silver truck.
  • Control substance at Clearview Regional Medical Center, Reference to a patient possibly smoking marijuana in the waiting room. Subject was voluntarily searched and no narcotics were found. Subject advised he was smoking a cigarette. All ok.
  • Dispute, S. Madison Ave., Ref to females disputing in the parking lot. Made contact with three females. Pamela Sutton and Jennifer Gee and another female. Arrested Gee for warrant out of Barrow County. Arrested Sutton later at Clearview for warrant out of Jackson County.
  • Prowler, Baker St., complainant advised that someone was trying to get in his door. Searched the area with no contact.
  • Suspicious person at Hot Spot, complainant advised that a hitch hiker was in her car and will not get out. While en-route complainant called back and said that the hitch hiker got out and she was leaving.
  • Disturbing the peace, Green St., Ref to the neighbor working on a vehicle and keeping neighbor awake. Made contact with the neighbor and he turned off his air compressor.
  • Entering auto, Felker St., Ref to Jeep Grand Cherokee that had been entered.
  • Juvenile complaint, Bridgeport Pl., Ref to 3-4 black male juveniles in the area carrying backpacks. Searched the area for the juveniles with no contact.
  • Prowler, Masters Dr., Ref to hearing a bumping noise near the shed. Searched the surrounding area and the area checked ok.
  • Wanted person @ Clearview, Ref to Pamela Sutton with a Jackson County warrant. Arrested Sutton and transported her to jail.
  • Suspicious person, E. Spring St/Madison Ave.,  female subject advised that she just saw 4 black males running through the graveyard with backpacks. Searched the area with no contact.
  • Wanted person at Birch St., Arrested Ashante Davis for Walton warrant.
  • Shots fired @ Birch St., Officer advised of hearing multiple gun shots in the area. Searched the area with no contact.
