Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between Nov. 6 – 19, 2015. This report is split into six parts due to the length. This is the fourth part for this period. Please note, a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- Jahari Brown arrested for Probation Violation, on Alcovy St.
- Officer’s called to S Madison Ave. Returned found wallet to owner, advised family Social Security cards were missing.
- Rape reported at MPD lobby. Grandfather stated that his 16-year-old granddaughter’s boyfriend will not stop coming to his house. Advised to call police to his house next time so boyfriend can be served with Prohibited Entry form. Call was not a rape call.
- Marcus Devoe arrested for Probation Violation, on Alcovy St.
- Casper Barnes arrested for Probation Violation, S. Madison Ave.
- Burglary call on Storehouse Crt., caller advised he could not find “Black & Milds”. No burglary, possibly misplaced. Report declined.
- Juvenile Complaint on Pine Park, Mother advised her son was being unruly. Situation mediated.
- Suspicious vehicle call on Hwy 138 heading towards city. Maroon Camaro speeding and passing vehicles in turning lane. Area checked, no contact.
- Missing juvenile call on King St., mother stated 16-year-old daughter did not go to school today. Mother located daughter while on scene, all ok
- Latoya Morrow arrested for Probation Violation, on Alcovy St.
- Suspicious person call on S Broad St. (Dollar General). W/F in parking lot asking for money. Made contact w/ subject who is homeless. Subject admitted she was asking for money, I advised her of law for “pan-handling” and if she needed help, local organizations are available for assistance.
- Domestic problem call on N. Broad Street; Dispute over property, on subject was GOA, verbal dispute only, all ok.
- Domestic Problem call on Forest Ln; male subject was parked in area, not wanted at comp’s residence. Was GOA.
- Juvenile Complaint on Perry Street; juveniles in the area smoking weed, negative contact.
- CIVIL/38-D report on Atha Street; Male subject was served with a TPO by female subject. Male subject was complaining that 38-D activity was going on.
- Welfare Check on Lawrence Street; Comp requested a check on 72-year-old female, checked, all ok.
- Suspicious Vehicle call on Armistead Cir; Comp advised a vehicle is pulling into and out of driveway of abandoned residence, checked area with no contact.
- 911 Hang-up on Nowell St., Mother advised her 20-year-old son left the house intoxicated, negative contact w/ son.
- Domestic problem call on Sporty Lane; female and male subject screaming at each other, both parties GOA. Negative contact.
- Violation of TPO/Domestic problem call on Ford Street; complainant complained that female subject who she has a TPO could be heard in the background on phone call with another person, not in violation of TPO.
- Trespassing call on Cook Place; Verbal argument between Tavaris Lattimore and male subject, Tavaris Lattimore arrested for warrants out of Walton and Athens.
- Hit and Run call on Towler Street; comp vehicle struck by a silver truck that left the area, comp advised he knew the subject and a WCSO deputy located the truck at a residence on Hwy 81, no driver would come to the door.
- Domestic problem call on Storehouse Ct; male and female subjects arguing over text messages, verbal only situation mediated.
- Entering Auto call on S. Madison Ave; three vehicles in the driveway entered by a black male who fled from complainant, 50.00 and an iphone 6+ stolen, unable to track phone, cars processed, latents recovered, report made.
- Suspicious Person/Juveniles call on S. Broad Street near Car Wash; juveniles identified and given ride to be turned over to parents on Douglas Street, (not matching description of above subject from Entering Auto).
- Domestic problem call on Dorothy Drive; Married couple in verbal dispute only, parties separated.
- Suspicious Vehicle call on Charlotte Rowell to Michael Circle; comp believed subject was intoxicated, subjects made it home prior to catching up to them.
- Theft Report call at Monroe Metal Recycling; a tip advised two subjects were stealing catalytic converters and brought them to Blackwell’s Auto repair, units surveilled them as they brought$ 700.00 worth of stolen converters to the shop from the woods, Michael Miller and Quintravious Blackwell arrested for Theft by Taking and Criminal Trespass.
- Domestic problem call on Tanglewood Drive; Comp advised male subject refused to give keys back, keys returned, male subject was GOA.
- Entering Auto call on Norris Street; occurred last date, possibly same suspect from previous report, wallet and Bluetooth headset stolen, report made.
- Shoplifting call at Dollar General; 11 year old stole and hair wrap and some eyeliner while shopping with mother, 11-year-old and mother banned from store, report made.
- Fraud Report call on Rosewood Ln; complainant reported 3 fraud transactions on her checking account, report made.
- EMS Assist call on Walton Rd; 85-year-old male not breathing, turned over to EMS.
- Domestic problem call on Pine Park St; subjects hanging out about to fight, subjects uncooperative said the other half of problem took off. Loiterers advised to leave.
- Suspicious Person call on Knight St and Lawrence; white male walking in the area, advised he was using a friend’s Wi-fi then strangely decided to head home to S. Madison Ave near Shumates. Negative warrants.
- Assistance call on 2nd Street; caller given a ride to Walmart after getting into an argument with his internet date (possible call service) on 2nd Street.
- Domestic problem call on Claywill Cir; Brian Bailey arrested after getting into a fight with his girlfriend – intoxicated cut himself with a knife and left driving his girlfriend’s car on a suspended license. Bailey charged with DUI, Driving on Suspended License, and Disorderly Conduct.
- Officer’s called to Maple Lane, complainant advised his neighbor was a sex offender and has not registered. After further investigation, it was discovered neighbor is registered.
- Suspicious vehicle call Unable to Maintain Lane, Gray Cadillac stopped on Poplar Street, driver, on Medication. Called for third party to drive the driver due to medical concerns.
- Theft Report taken at MPD Lobby, complainant advised male subject had been stealing tools over the past two years. Advised of warrant process, report taken.
- Harassment Report call on Magnolia Terrace, complainant advised male subject gave her an STD. Report taken.
- Welfare Check/accident on W. Spring St., Mr. Soyo arrested for DUI, TOT Walton County Jail. Tested positive on PBT.
- Dispute call on Alcovy St., F.I.S.H. Medical, and the staff advised male subject on location and was barred last week. CAD had no record. Male subject served with prohibited entry notice and advised not to return. A copy of the notice was left with staff on location.
- Agency Assist call on Kendall Court, reference to WCSO going to arrest Antonio Robinson for Family violence.
- Suspicious Person call on Wheelhouse Lane, black male riding a dirt bike between yards. Area checked with no contact with subject
- Harassing phone calls complainant taken at MPD Lobby, complainant advised male subject made 5 or 6 more phone calls since original report was filed by Officer. Supplemental report added to original report.
- Officer’s called to Clearview Medical, reference to GSP requesting an officer to check on subjects from earlier accident and the dispute they were having over the phone. All ok.
- Suspicious Vehicle call on Hwy. 78 & Edmondson Road, white male subject in white Trail Blazer reading a newspaper. Contact made with witnesses of vehicle. No contact with speeding vehicle.
- Officer’s called to Clearview in reference to disruptive patient, situation mediated all ok.
- Damage to Property/hit and run report, MPD Lobby, Tractor Trailer driver advised a vehicle struck the front of his truck while he was stopped for the convoy earlier this date. Passenger vehicle turned left (North) onto Hwy. 11 and kept going. Maroon Malibu. Turned over to GSP.
- Dispute call on Victory Dr. complainant male and female subject over living arrangements. Male subject not on location. Female subject advised of civil process.
- Officer advised he heard firearms being discharged in the area of G.W. Carver and Green Street. Area checked on foot.
- Dispatch Advised Shots fired, Gunshot wound Green Street area. Victim identified as male subject, walking on Perry Street with 2 brothers when they heard shots and male subject was struck in the right upper shoulder from the back. No exit wound. Bullet still lodged inside shoulder area upon arrived. First aid given until EMS arrived and transported victim to Clearview. Crime scene located at Launius Avenue and Perry Street. 6-shell casings recovered from a 40 caliber weapon. Officer advised six shot were heard when he was in the area. Scene processed by officer. No further at this time.
